Got to love the name! Walking in the door it's just so colorful and filled with lots of sweeties! This place has great stocking stuffers too for this time of the year! Their candy comes from The Candy Basket which is another local place about 20 blocks away. They make the candy there. (I actually have a review from there, just tooting my horn there for a minute). I picked up some coal (their coal is made of chocolate and not black licorice, or even real coal) for someone's stocking. I also got some chocolate gummy bears in a really cool container. Went here right after having dinner at Boccelli's. What struck my eye was the bright colors inside this candy store. I decided that I would at least walk in and check out what they had to offer. At first sight, the ice cream is what you see in the case much like walking in to a Baskin Robbins except their flavors of ice cream was a bit more on the unique side. As I walked to the other part of the counter a few kids were picking out their choices of sweet treats with the staff member readily helping them and answering their questions with informative answers and a non condescending manner that made the kids feel like they were making purchases like adults. As I walked up to the counter the smell of fresh Caramel Corn was ready behind the display taunting me as much as the ice cream display. I could not help myself but to purchase a small box of Caramel Corn. I took it home and enjoyed every morsel of caramel goodness. I would definitely recommend this store to all my friends especially if they have kids. I really enjoyed the way they work with their customers regardless of their age. we popped in yesterday, drawn in by the bright pink colors. the smell in there is f.a.n.t.a.s.t.i.c! lots of fun candies (cotton candy, red ropes, bit-o-honey, etc). the caramel and cheese corn are sooooo good! they come in four sizes so you can get a lot or a ton, depending on your mood! i got the cheese corn which was perfectly tangy and delicious. they also sell chocolates. we had a salted caramel that was really good. and they are made here in portland. i LOVE that this is a new local business! ill go here again and again because 1. i heart sweets and popcorn! and 2. i want to support local business. thank you for not being a chain franchise!! *edited to add that they now are selling 'sock it to me' brand socks. another portland company. right on! read more

Fresh carmel corn samples. Yummmmmo. Great candy shop. Lots of classics, and wonderful options for creating gifts. We stopped here to buy a small box of chocolates for our 96 year old grandmother. She should eat sugar free, but you know, when you are 96, I think you should eat whatever you want. Her favorite candy is chocolate chew, so we bought some of those, along with some other options in an affordable and totally cute gift box. It was the perfect gift. I would definitely stop here. This is a great little place but I don't go here for the candy. I come here for their popcorn, especially their Cheese Corn. My favorite has become the White Cheese Corn, it has a better cheesy taste whereas the Cheddar tends to taste a bit saltier for my tastes. The Carmel Corn is terrific but I just can't have the sugar, YOU could enjoy it better than I. So, find yourself in downtown Gresham for lunch or dinner, be sure and stop in ICANDY. HELLA expensive!!!! The most expensive candy store I've EVER been too. Even compared to Sees and rocky Road Chocolate Factory type stores. Service wasn't horrible but I definitely felt rushed. It's mostly some chocolates and a wall of fruity candy that's basically $10 a lb. They have Carmel corn and Ice Cream. They have a small selection of additional candy's like old school chocolate bars and pop Rocks. The quality of the candies isn't anything special compared to a chain or mall candy store. If you have 20$ to spend on a couple chocolates and a bag of candy... then you'll love it. Just not my style. read more

The popcorn is amazing! Icandy has many things to offer the candy lover not only chocolate but other sugared candy as well. One thing that really got me excited is that they carry candy cigarettes, you know, those white sticks that don't really look like cigarettes. They also have the kind that has a wrapper making the gum wrapped inside look like cigarettes and when you blow on them they puff that candy dusting...awesome! I went in for the first time with my step-daughter (who practically dragged me in) for ice cream. The shop is a quaint little place with a old time soda shop feel mixed with a modern fun vibe. She was getting ice cream and, as she was proud to be buying it with her money, I let her talk directly to the young lady scooping ice cream. The young girl never once included me in the transaction, which I consider a good thing in this situation. She got 3 HUGE scoops of the cotton candy ice cream, the pile was almost as big as her head. I had a mixed order and it was ALL delicious. I can't wait to go back and get more. On a side note, there are several Pokestops that you can hit while sitting at their outside tables. read more

Love this place! It's the perfect place to stop for treats when you are with a group (or by yourself). There is something for everybody. My favorite is the Hawaiian shaved ice in the summer on a hot day. There are specials they run on certain days every week, and punch cards for bubble tea. Prices are already reasonable though! We went to waffle cone Wednesday. The price has raised from $1 to $1.50. My toddler was getting ice cream, so I asked for a cup also so it didn't fall all over their floor. The girl working told me it was 25¢ extra. So I said fine. She gave us the ice cream in a cup with no cone. I asked if the cone was extra, and she said no and gave it to us. No hello or thank you from either employee. We went over to our table that was very wobbly and ate. Very underwhelming experience. Wow, what a great new addition to Main Street in Gresham! We have made the trip several times, after dinner at Boccelli's and also after Farmers Market on a Saturday morning. It's the cutest store with decor in Hot Pink and smells like heaven! They are quick to give you samples of their carmel and cheese corn. How can you not purchase the Carmel Corn after you try your first bite? They have a variation of candy that you love today, and the candy from when you were a child! We were walking by on Wednesday evening and saw they were having a special $ 1.50 waffle cone & scoop that day so we backtracked and decided to go in. My daughter ordered the huckleberry cheesecake and it was delicious and the cones were good too... I had the licorice and the flavor was amazing and It would be 5 stars but unfortunately they load it up with a crazy amount of what I hope what food grade black/dark green dye...one drip stained my new shorts, my lips, gums and teeth were stained green until I could get home to scrub them clean (which means we couldn't do other errands like planned)...and now I have a disturbing dark green toilet bowl if you know what I mean...please don't dye your ice cream anymore! read more

I love going here. It's like an old fashioned candy shop that you'd see in the movie "Willy Wanka and the Chocolate Factory." There's a good selection of chocolates, gummy candy, nostalgic candy, ice cream, bubble tea and wonderful toffee popcorn. I've been coming to iCandy since I can remember, which was in 8th grade I believe. That was 10 years ago. Every single time I have ever been in, I've been greeted by kind and happy people. The owners truly care about every single customer and you can tell they care about their employees too because they're all happy. They welcome feedback and are quick to make your visit a 6 star and not just a 5, they're even more quick in fixing a wrong. They have a large variety in products & treats. Their new store is perfect to grab some classic treats like caramel corn or some new treats like edible cookie dough and sit down & chat with a friend. We live 30 minutes away and make the trip to iCandy when we are craving sweets purely because they are the definition of a small local business we want to support. We love iCandy! read more

I like ICandy and started going when I lived up in Gresham for about 7 years. Usually when I come to visit family in Gresham, I stop by ICandy. I don't always buy a whole lot as it can be a little pricey. But they do have candy you can't always find in the store. Like the candy cigs I use to eat as a kid. I also really like their shaved ice. Plus they have specialty chocolate in a case. I love the peanut clusters! I love that they moved to a bigger location which is just right down the street from their old location. It's nice when it gets busy inside, it doesn't feel as packed. I love that it's still downtown and right next to my favorites The Local Cow and Mojave! We usually stop by for dessert after we hit these joints! It's a must try if you have time. Yes it can be pricey on some items but it's worth it. As to some of the reviews commenting on customer service. Yes, I have had some stuffy responses from people working there which is why I did 4 stars instead of 5 stars. Anytime I've had interaction with the owners it has been pleasant. But some employee's have been a little rude or don't want to be bothered.
