My experiance dealing with Jose and his team during the installation was just as great. My condenser unit was on a small balcony on my 4th floor and the evaporator coil/air blower unit, Furnice were in the attic above the 4th floor. Jose was able to line up a crane and replace the old unit and install a new unit the same day as the qoute. The entire team was very professional and completed the work on time. My install was a week ago and everything has been working perfectly. My new unit is so quiet and I am noticing less humidity in the house as well. I highly recommened JD's AC & Heating if you are looking to hire a dependable and professional AC company.

I called him because my Lennox machine wasn't blowing cold air. Over the phone, he let me know that Lennox has an issue with evaporator coils and I likely have a leak. I have him come to my house less than 24 hours later and he takes a look at the unit. The unit went into protection mode due to a power surge. John told me over the phone that we would be looking at a major repair because I failed to mention the power surge, so he didn't know. But he looked at the unit and explained to me that a power surge will turn ACs into fan systems, and that all I have to do next time is wait an hour and turn the unit back on. No upsell, just 99 dollars for his time and expertise. I was prepare to spend thousands. At that point, I felt very comfortable with John's ethics. It's a good thing to have. I asked him to do a service on the machines (clean, etc, yearly maintenance) and he told me he was happy to. However, his priority was to get customers with no working AC up and running. I'm okay with that. It's a sign of good principles. Also, he told me he's proud of his install work. I know my machines will break again, and when they do I hope he'll be around to help.

Found short at t-stat, repaired. T-stat old, christmas lights sound, and wire bent in wall to mount properly." An Emerson 1F78-144 thermostat was installed. June 3, 2024: Had Temperature Pro Katy-Cypress perform a system evaluation. July 5, 2024: AC experienced issues. Excel Air LLC replaced a dual run capacitor. July 11, 2024: AC stopped working again. Contacted Texas Air Care A/C & Heating. Paid an additional $228.95. Invoice states "Found small short in low volt wire under Cougs - Have spot on wire stripped back wire & re-connected. Con Vactor seems ok - monitor," and a fuse was replaced. December 27, 2024: The same HVAC issue recurred. Excel Air LLC was called. They replaced the Emerson 1F78-144 thermostat that Texas Air Care A/C & Heating had installed on June 2nd. The HVAC system has functioned since this thermostat replacement by Excel Air LLC.

Pretty much a bunch of BS I called Efficient Polar Air they came out Saturday at 9PM said that the builder when the HVAC person installed the unit they didn't vacuum enough and if anything the expansion valve needed to be changed and vacuum to be done but couldn't confirm anything Nicks Pluming/AC was saying. They fixed the issue for there standard service call and if it keeps reoccuring the expansion valve and vacuum needs to be done. Do yourself a favor and if you have any AC issue call Efficient Polar Air!!! They saved me so much $$$$ by being honest and quick.

I have a gas HVAC unit that i now can't use the heat on because I now have an enclosed attic that uses gas heating. They failed to install the conversion kit for the HVAC system. Leaving me to die from carbon monoxide poisoning. I am now also having humidity problems in my attic. Having way to much moisture. Humidity is typically around 80% and it isn't even winter. causing roof rot and mold very soon. Update: After making an appointment to come and fix my roof that they damaged, it never occurred to them to make sure they had roofers to do the job i guess. Mike (owner?) answered and said he would send out Stephan that afternoon at 2:00 p.m.. I left to take a return to the USPS on Red Oak but couldn't get away in time for the appointment. Stephan called as I was leaving the Post Office and he agreed to wait until I got home. Stephan quickly diagnosed the problem (failed capacitor) and had a replacement in hand. He explained the cost, which was more than fair. Stephan quickly installed the replacement and tested to insure it was working properly. He went inside and checked and adjusted the thermostat at no additional charge. High quality work at a more than fair price. I'll definitely use this provider in the future.

Unfortunately, the condenser was not the issue, yet we were still charged $600 for the replacement. They then informed us that they were unable to clear the line and claimed the entire AC system would need to be replaced at a cost of $20,000. This estimate did not include the ductwork or the copper piping inside the walls, which they said they were unable to access. My husband and I discussed the situation and felt that $20,000 was an excessive amount for replacing a single unit in a two-story home. When we decided not to move forward and said we wanted to get a second opinion, they lowered the price to $14,000. We couldn't help but feel that the pricing and recommendations may have been influenced by the assumption that we could afford to pay more. While we cannot speak to their intentions, that was certainly how the situation felt to us, particularly given the significant price reduction from $20,000 to $14,000 once we declined the work and said we wanted to seek another estimate. We decided to hold off, and we are extremely grateful that we did. Another HVAC company came out, properly assessed the system, and was able to clear the line. They told us that our existing unit has approximately another 8-10 years of life remaining, and they did not charge us anything for the service. Unfortunately, we were still left paying $600 to Mr. Reliable for a condenser that ultimately did not need to be replaced. This experience was extremely disappointing and left us feeling that we were being overcharged rather than given an honest assessment of what our system actually needed. We strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any major HVAC replacement, especially when the proposed repair comes with a significant price tag.

John came out to give a diagnosis, and he was extremely knowledgeable about my Daikin mini split four-port ductless hvac system. The tech from another company who installed it, should have brazed all 4 refrigerant lines to ensure that there wouldn't be any leaks or suggested I do so. The other company had a one month work warranty which I was informed is a red flag but honestly didn't want to get anymore work done by them after this tedious job and getting U0 error code after exactly 1 month. He showed me which units were leaking, but I decided to get all four units done to avoid issues in the future with the others. The diagnosis fee was waived due to getting the work done by the company. The price was affordable and on point. I can't say how grateful I am to them, because all of my saved up funds going towards the initial install with the other company. The pic shows minimal repair needing to be done after they meticulously worked on each unit which I will get patched up and painted. Vibrant made it right, and I can't sing enough of John's praises!
