I Love Seafood did not disappoint. I had the Dirty Yak, the salmon, and the crab egg roll, and everything was packed with flavor and cooked really well. The yak had that rich, savory taste, the salmon was satisfying, and the egg roll was crispy and tasty with a nice seafood filling.

This time we picked a week day lunch, no waiting line. The owner served us. She was very warm and friendly. I could hear staff in the kitchen speaking Shanghai dialects. The owner Mrs. Sun told us every dish was prepared by Shanghai people, and herself, authentic Shanghai dishes. We ordered 5*soup dumplings: homemade, lots of filling, 8 dumplings in one order. 4*Sauteed Fish Filet Wine Sau: not enough wine sauce. The owner said that some diners always request less sauce and salt, so it was cooked with less sauce, but we are more accustomed to original flavor. She gave us some extra wine sauce. 5*Biscuit Stuffed Pine-Nut with Red Bean Paste: for us, it's a must order dessert. Delicious and not too sweet.

I came because I heard someone rave about the vegetarian dumplings --they were solid. Quite large and filled with mushrooms, onions, green vegetables and seasoning. I ordered the veggie buns as well, but it's the same filling as the dumplings so no need to order both. I enjoyed both. I also ordered the kung pao tofu which was okay. Some of the tofu pieces were fried too hard and made it difficult to chew. The flavor was spot on. I would return and possibly try a different tofu dish, but it appears that they are better with the meat dishes so I'm not sure if it's the most comfortable option for vegetarians. Nevertheless, I liked my experience overall.

If you're between the poached chicken and the fried chicken, I would go with the fried chicken. I've only ever ordered takeout from Kindi Chicken Rice but I liked that the fried chicken was still crispy and juicy when I brought it back home. Would I order again? : I would order again if I'm in the mood. When I was living in Philly, I used to love frequenting Cily Chicken Rice, which was also a Thai-style hainanese chicken rice spot. So, when I moved to NOVA, I was excited to find a similar restaurant nearby. Unfortunately, Kindi Chicken Rice isn't quite as good but it's still pretty decent. The ginger-garlic rice doesn't have enough garlic flavor and was a little dry. Also, I didn't like the ratio of chicken to rice; there was only six pieces of chicken for all the rice that was given. Lastly, the daikon soup had the classic peppery taste but lacked salt/umami flavor. But I did like that the daikon was sliced whereas the daikon in the Cily Chicken Rice soup is just one hunk of daikon.

The beef satay was also okay but lacking in true flavor (need longer marinade). The hainan chicken was mediocre. Meat was tender enough but soy sauce was not flavorful enough and they don't serve chicken rice here which is truly the star of a real Hainan chicken dish. The char kway teow did not taste at all like the real thing. Very bland, no sausages, barely any seafood and no char. The vegetables were also mediocre. Probably would not return

We shared the roti canai, tofu pad thai and the sushi. My partner got the thai basil noodles with beef and shared some of the roti as well. This was my brother and I's first time trying pad thai and I'm so glad it was here. I've been told by another vegetarian friend of mine that this is the only place they'll get pad thai from and everywhere else is disappointing (I guess its all downhill from here lol). Everything was absolutely delicious and the vibe in here was so nice. It was just what we needed after a long week. The wait staff is also so kind! Might be my new favorite restaurant.

So I'm updating my review because it's well deserved! I have started ordering from Hai Duong through Uber Eats again in the last year and so much improvement! The food arrives fast, hot, and with very generous portions. They are definitely not stingy like I had experienced in the past. I love it when businesses take feedback to be better. In the last year, we usually order the Mi Nam Vang and Mi Bo Kho, and both are consistently excellent. This past weekend, we finally decided to eat at the restaurant in person at Eden Center, and it was just as good as when we order delivery. The guy seating people was very polite and friendly, and our food came out pretty quickly. We ordered the Bun Mam and Mi Nam Vang, and both were amazing. Everything tasted fresh and came out super hot, which I love. There are plenty of condiments on the table if needed, but honestly the broth is so flavorful that you do not really need them. They also give a great portion of protein, which I really appreciate. The place was packed and clearly very popular, and I can see why. I will definitely continue to support Hai Duong and hope they get even more business. And I appreciate that they got so much better compared to during COVID times, Great work, Hai Duong!

We loved the magnolia blossom oolong tea. Some misses on the menu for us were the chicken wonton soup that had too subtle a flavor palette for me, veggie dumplings which had a little too strong a flavor for both of us, and the charcoal bao with custard that was overall just not to our preference. Service was super fast and friendly. We ate to our hearts' content and finished in about 45 mins of the 75 available. They have runners to bring out the food as it's prepared; no carts. Despite being a big restaurant with a lot of hard surfaces, the place never got super loud and everyone was quietly conversing. The music was also a comfortable volume for having a nice conversation over a delicious meal. 20% pre-tax service fee/gratuity is automatically added to checks regardless of party size.

Dear Yelpers, I woke up last Sunday with a craving for dim…read moresum, so I drove into DC to try this place because they offered an unlimited dim sum menu. Overall, I do not think I will be coming back here for dim sum. And they dont have the dim sum ladies that pushes the cart around. To me this place did not give me the real dim sum experience. See my review below. Food: Their unlimited dim sum selection is very tame. They do have some signature plates, but I felt it was lacking in many areas such as veggies, pastries, and other dumplings. The taste overall was just okay. I've honestly had better elsewhere, probably because it was unlimited. It didn't taste fresh, and everything was very greasy. The food came out neither hot nor warm. It was room temperature, which was disappointing. Nothing on their menu really stood out as different for me. Also, you have to ask for sauces and other condiments that are often placed on the table during dim sum service (e.g., chili oil, soy sauce, vinaigrette). Dim sum is part of my upbringing, and the food was definitely catered to Western palates, which contributed to it tasting just okay to me. Price: I believe it was $36 or $38 per person for their unlimited dim sum. We ordered a pot of tea that cost $12, which is insane to me. I do not believe the total price we paid matches the quality of food we received. Service: The service was pretty good. The staff were attentive and checked in throughout our meal. They were quick with our requests for sauces and refills of water and tea. Everyone was very nice, and they cleared finished plates pretty quickly. Ambiance: This place offers a quiet environment for dim sum. It felt light and airy, calm, and without a lot of hustle and bustle. This is very different from the kind of environment I am accustomed to when going out for dim sum. It is usually loud, and everyone is yelling over each other. That, to me, is the real dim sum experience.
