    Bun Bo Hue
    Delilah P.

The Bun Bo Hue was decent. It was lacking the flavors of bun bo hue, but it wasn't too bad. It was enough to satisfy my cravings. The portion was big. It came with a pork hock which was a huge plus. I received bean sprouts, cabbage, Thai basil, jalapeños, limes, and a shrimp paste with my bun bo hue. I was impressed that I receive the right herbs and even the shrimp paste. Every table had the lemongrass chili oil for the bun bo hue. Overall, it was pretty authentic for the small city of Lubbock!

would absolutely come back! appetizers we got were shrimp spring rolls and crab rangoons, both were delicious. hubby got the fish bahn mi and loved it, i got the small eye round steak pho which was generous in portion and delicious. one server when we went serving 3 tables and he was kind and time efficient! whole meal w tip ended up being around $33 which is the best price we've seen eating at viet restaurants! surprised they weren't busier!

I'm surprised it was not busier when I stopped by today but I was having a late lunch. Had the Bun bo Hue here and let me tell you, I'm Vietnamese myself so I always appreciate it when the restaurant gives you mam tom (shrimp paste) and sa te (chili oil) with it. It also comes with gio heo (pork knuckles). So flavorful and delish. Also the staffs were very sweet and polite and accommodating. If you are into Vietnamese dishes, check this place out.

    A3. Grilled Pork Spring Rolls

Came here for the first time for a warm lunch on this cold afternoon, I have tried a couple other places in town for Pho, but this place knocked it out of the water. Our plates were HUGE, DELICIOUS, and FLAVORFUL. We also got some of the rice paper spring rolls (pictured below) and I think i could have ate 10 of them easily. Everything was so yummy, I am already thinking about the next tjme i'll be back for more! A3 and P11 pictured below! Restaurant was just a small local business, and i will be giving them more every time i get the chance.

I'm sorry but..... I don't love Pho.... At least not this one. I do not usually give one star reviews but just one totally tipped the balance. I think pretty much the whole experience in general is why I must have gotten them on an off day. Wanted to introduce some co-workers to Vietnamese food here to get them to come over to the dark side, so it was just the worst place one could think of. First of all the heater was not working so prepare for your food to be lukewarm for at least 5 minutes and then you are on your own from there. The service was okay at first but once the food is dropped it's kind of like runaway run far away and try not to be seen. Got up to ask for shrimp paste for the bun bo hue I was told they do not have any again (this is my second time in a year here). The bun bo hue that I ordered tasted nothing like traditional and not even the traditional hock piece that usually goes in there, you get sliced up pork which is very untraditional. The bobas that we ordered or decent except that the type of yoga was pretty much either old or not cooked long enough, kind of like eating a tapioca with consistency of Tootsie Roll without the flavor in the middle. The "shaken beef" if I could tell pretty much that it was not going to be very good just by looking at it when it came out, and surely it was not very good but it was not terrible. While you are busy freezing your butt off because the heater does not work you will also be accompanied by a whole slew of dirty tables around you, we sat there and wondered how long it would take for them to bus tables which are in half an hour average and would only be cleaned as people walked in. I'm pretty sure they must have been short on help or something. The pricing, let me tell you about the pricing! Definitely overpriced. $53 without the tip for just three people what kind of have you wondering why didn't you just go to a cheap steakhouse or even a seafood restaurant, I know apples to oranges but you get my drift. This is one of two places here in Lubbock that I definitely would not recommend you to take a first-timer to, time to explore around.

First time trying "I love pho" ordered online and food was ready quickly and early in the estimated pickup time frame. Shrimp & Pork spring rolls (the fresh wrapped rolls usually referred to as summer rolls) were fairly bland. The egg rolls ( more like what we know as fried spring rolls) but without the glass noodles, were good and tasty. Lemongrass with rice was good did not know it had jalapenos not a problem for me though. Both vermicelli dishes were tasty.

Our two favorite Thai places were closed today. And the Vietnamese place with the highest rating was also closer. This was our 4th choice to eat. We were hoping to be pleased. Overall ... Meh! Decor: Open and casual. Had to request that the table we were going to sit down at be cleaned first Appetizer: Shrimp Spring Roll. Was served after our entrees. This got great reviews here. But we were disappointed. The peanut sauce was tasty. Entree: Curry Chicken had WAY more rice than chicken. And the dish came with broccoli in name only -- it had 3 small stalks. Mostly for color and not for nutrition, I think. Had to request the entire plate be sent back to get heated. It was served lukewarm. Shrimp Vermicelli was acceptable. Not bad, just not "roll your socks up and down" good The Bill: Affordable. But we had to send it back to remove an item that we did not order The server was kind. We will try another Vietnamese place instead of coming here again. Sadly

Taste was not good. I order vermicelli with egg roll and she didn't bring me egg roll I asked refund for egg roll but she give me one egg roll in the bag I didn't want it!

$6.25 for 6 thin crab rangoons that we're supposed to be spicy but they weren't spicy

Decent Shrimp Spring Rolls with peanut sauce and I enjoy their pho broth. Best spot in town, in my pho opinion.

Love their eye round steak pho! Their meat is the best quality compared to other pho restaurants here. I also love their crab ragoons!

The pho was rich, aromatic, and deeply satisfying--exactly what you want on a cold day or after a long one. What really stood out was how accommodating they were with customization. Every request was met with ease, and the end result was a bowl that felt thoughtfully made, not rushed or generic. Had to have been the longest time for making the drinks. We were there for probably a hot 10-15 min. They were busy with take away orders so maybe that's why it took so long. Who knows. The restaurant almost seemed to be overfilling. The area next to the register was filled with boxes and things. Didn't really see the seating area but they were busy.
