The good: I was offered a same day appointment and given detailed instructions via text message. Upon arrival I was greeted and seeing as it was my first time the woman at the front desk went over which lashes would work best for me. The bad: According to my text message I had Jamie Jung as my lash tech. Started off normal but my eyes had a mild reaction to the glue and despite being closed my eyes teared up bad, I remained relaxed the entire time but disappointed that she couldn't be bothered to use some sort of cotton to wipe the tears. They made their way into my ears. Not the end of the world but annoying and in my mind I felt she lacked empathy. She for some reason needed to rearrange my head (she moved it into the exact same position??) but it was very rough when she did it. Upon checking out I was questioned on the lack of gratuity which is optional. If I am not giving it that should be that, honestly she should be grateful for what I did give her given my experience. I explained my dismay to the woman at the front desk. I don't think my experience is the standard but then again I don't look like their typical standard client so I personally won't be back and that's the beauty of America I have options. read more

Overall a good experience- The store is very small from the outside. You can easily drive by it if you're not paying attention. On the inside, it's equally as small, but quaint and does the job well for what's needed. They greeted me by name, and had me fill out something on their iPad. Someone then sit down with me to go over what I was looking for. She asked what type of style I wanted, and the length I was looking for compared to what length I had. I thought this was nice of them, although it felt a little awkward, mostly due to the language barrier. While I appreciated the conversation of what I was looking for, I would have liked to have a conversation of what the process would've been like. I've never gotten lashes before which I expressed. It would have been nice to understand what type of feeling or fumes my eyes would be in contact with before or even during the process. The man in the front also seemed pushy, which I didn't appreciate. He told me what I should be tipping when we're done. While I understand the need to have their techs be compensated, it just didn't seem like a right way or right place to try and shove that in. Now the process in which everything was done, wasn't that bad. Again, this is my first time going through it, so I don't know if the slight stinging burning feeling was normal or not. I think it took under 1.5 hours total. I don't know what it was supposed to feel like. The woman was gentle and felt like she took her time. There was very soft music playing in the background which made it as relaxing as possible. The end result was very pretty. I'm no expert, but I don't know if 80 were put on each lash. I didn't lay there and count. However, she was kind and I got compliments on the lashes immediately after and at home. It's only day 2, so I'm sure I'll know more about how it's holding up within the week. If these stay as it looks now, then I'm sure I'll return back and get the service again. read more

My technician, Ellen, was amazing and caring- she made sure I got the style I wanted and took her time to make my lashes beautiful. Tried this place for the first time this week. When I initially called for an appointment they said they would honor the groupon price of $45 therefore no need to purchase in advance. I should have purchased the groupon because the price had increased to $55 by the time I made my appointment. They were nice upon arrival. Place is small, quiet and they took me on time which I greatly appreciate due to my hectic and limited schedule. The owner I am assuming, guided me to get the best lashes for me. I told her O wanted natural and that is exactly what I got. It took about an hour. My person as Jai and she was nice, comforting and made me very comfortable and relaxed. The results, were just OK. They lashes are not as even on my eyes as I believe they should look. There are spaces in between. The first day I already lost a few lashes and some even appear sideways two days later. I have been VERY careful not to rub, wet or touch them. I brushed a few times and no improvement. When I left, I noticed the imperfections but didn't say anything about my concerns. I paid her a $20 tip but should have probably only given $15. Needless to say, I doubt I will return to this place for a refill. I've been getting my eyelashes done here for over a year now, and see Jinny almost every month. She is very kind and gentle, and listens to my needs and matches them to her expertise. I typically get C curl "sexy" style, which I think provide the perfect natural look. My lashes consistently last more than 3 weeks (which is longer than other locations I have tried), and the glue they use doesn't irritate my eyes. The location itself is conveniently located and the inside is a relaxing and clean environment. All in all I would definitely recommend! I got the 100 mink eyelash set for vacation and although it was immediately clear that 100 eyelashes were not applied I found that they stayed well. I then went for a fill and again realized not the accurate number of eyelashes were applied again however this time they do not seem to be staying as well. Not a good experience at all! I bought the package for 100% Real Mink Set - 100 lashes per eye. When I called to make the appointment, the owner told me the appointment has to be an hour and half for 100 lashes per eye package, so we did. On the day of appointment, I arrived on time for my appointment only to find out that they did not even take down my appointment in their appointment book. The owner asked me to wait for half an hour to finish her current customer's extensions, and then she would take me. Since I have made arrangement to go for the appointment, I thought just to wait, and to get it done. I patiently waited. As I was there once before (a long time ago), the owner took out her tablet to see what length and curve I used to have. I also let her know I bought the 100% Real Mink Set - 100 lashes package from Groupon. After half an hour, she greeted me into the room, and started my session. There was another customer on the other side of the room, that I was not even aware before. She was already in there before I arrived. The owner started my extensions, and I could tell she was rushing since I have been getting my eye lash extensions a number of times before. During my session, there was another customer walked in. The owner had to stop and walk out to greet the customer walking in. I heard she said, "please wait, she is almost done." I was thinking, maybe she meant the girl next to me since she was there even before I arrived. My session was unbelievably finished within half an hour! I asked her, I thought you said the 100 lashes per eye package will take an hour and half. She said, "oh, because you don't have enough lashes so it is quicker." But, from 1.5 hrs became 0.5 hr appointment?! Really?!! I looked at my eye lashes extensions, there was a gap. I asked her to fill the gap but I was very calm (now I regret) even though I should have been outraged. After she filled the gap, the girl next to me was still in her session!!! She stepped out to the reception area, and she said to me, "you probably knew how to take care of your lashes, right?" I said, yes. As soon as I left the tip, which was as requested on the wall "15% of original price $250" minus $5, she quickly moved on to the girl who just finished the session. I was shocked! That's it?!! She did not even offer an apology!!! The whole customer service is very bad! She missed taking down my appointment, didn't give me the package I paid for. I looked at my eye lashes, they are definitely not 100 lashes per eye. She could have said sorry for missing taking my appointment/wasting my time, and offered a refill in two weeks if I couldn't get what I paid for. Be alarm! I think this all results from understaff. The owner is taking phone calls, greeting customers, doing eye lash extensions at the same time! You don't know if you will accidentally become the next victim. Will not recommend! read more

I visited this location only once. Scheduling online was easy although I received a text message the next day to reschedule the time. Upon entry, this is a very clean and organized place. Staff was friendly and polite. This location is CASH ONLY. Unfortunately, I was not made aware of this until reading the sign at the front desk. Although there is an ATM available, there is a service fee. The technician I met with sat with me to discuss the details (volume, length and material) of lash set I desired. For me, volume and length are important which was what we agreed upon. In the technician's working station, this was also clean and organized. However, I could feel several of my natural lashes being plucked out accidentally during a removal of a previous set. I didn't say anything, waiting to see if the technician would communicate with me honestly about any errors. (Mistakes happen, I understand). But nothing was said at all. Still, I kept quiet and calm and let her finish the set. By the end, there were a few slight errors - the volume was very weak and the lashes were disorganized in length and placement. I could visibly see the area where my natural lashes were accidentally plucked, as well. And they were attempted to be covered in random false lashes, almost in cluster. But, I thanked her and stepped out regardless. I used the restroom to gain a closer inspection in the mirror with the lash brush, as well. The glue was tremendously overdone. I literally could not physically run the brush through them. My extension and natural lashes were stiff and crunchy from the excessive glue that was used. Deep down I started to panic... Currently, the appointment was over a week ago. Since then, I have literally trimmed the extensions with scissors to even out the lengths and have brushed and shampooed (gently) my lashes to care for the glue issue. At this time, it is much much better. And they're holding up fairly well, too. I wouldn't say this location was a poor experience, however, for the price of a volume set, I expected much better quality and overall communication (such as the cash policy and plucking my lashes accidentally). So I'm an attention to Detailed person, and when paying for services I kinda expect kind customer service. I also believe in tipping accordingly. Also I hate it when your a Groupon client and get treated less then fair, not to mention all the upsells pushed upon. Unfortunately this place strikes out twice for me, there will be no 3rd time. The Manager needs lessons on friendliness and pricing! She asked me Not to purchase the Groupon but that she would honor the price . (Seems shady) then i ended up paying 55 instead of 45, + the tip which they demand at least 20 % of the original price. So 80 synthetic lashes for 55. Not bad and for that price I came back a 2nd time. Not for the kindness or comfort. Finally the 2nd and last time the manager and assistant both argued with me about the price and how I had to pay 85 for the same set of lashes. So I told them I would just pay it on Groupon right now and pay 45 for the set! They said no!! I just told the manager she should get back to her client on whom she was working on while arguing the price with me. Finally she said ok, and the assistant was in a funk, it was constant talking in their language over me which I find so rude and disturbing while being treated. Also this time I could not breathe and my nose was burning from the fumes of the glue, she kept it too close to me even she was coughing. She never once offered concern or comfort. Finally I counted the times she placed a lash on me ....Ladies it was not even close to 60!!!! Try and count yourself they are NOT giving you what you pay for. I won't take away that the lashes lasted and were done nicely the 1st Time, but I wouldn't be surprised if this 2nd time it's different. I never did get to use the Groupon for this place, but these small businesses need to recognize that if it were Not for Groupon they would Not be on the map! And any money coming in is better then No money at all! Service and friendliness lack here. But I bet if you pay over $100 and tip 30% you may just get a warm welcome and some care. Sorry but I'll take my business elsewhere. Oh and btw I had to go outside to an ATM to get cash they don't except credit cards. So 55 for lashes 10 for a tip not deserved had to add 5 more on demand! I have been getting lash extensions for over 3 years and 2 of those years were with I Love Lash in Tenafly. I was hopping around searching for my go-to shop for about a year, but once I found this place I haven't looked back. I mentioned a Groupon deal on my first visit, and they honored the same price. The customer service and the quality of the lashes and even the glue! are top of the line. They have a great variety of lashes to choose from in terms of length, type of curl, thickness, and material of the lash. I have really thin lashes, but Vicky works her magic and makes them look amazing and full. I honestly want a new look every time depending on the occasion or mood, and Vicky accommodates my request with the utmost care and precision. I never felt rushed out or ignored. What I appreciate the most is that her work helps maintain the quality of my natural lashes. Trust me. I've been to other places that would have my lashes all gunked up with glue and tell me it's volume. If you are worried about the health of your real lashes, this is the place to go. This was my third time getting lash extensions but my first time at this salon. I purchased a full set on Groupon but once I was there, the woman informed me I did not have enough natural lashes for 80 lashes per eye, and that she would do more like the natural set (60 per eye). Ok...but no offer of price compensation. At the first place I had been, I was shown examples of length/curl etc to choose from, But I was not shown anything here. Once I was lying there at her mercy with my eyes closed she told me what length she thought was best so I just said ok. Then she started asking me kind of set other places had done for me because if they are saying they can do more than 60 lashes or are putting 2 lashes per my one lash, that's really bad and they're not being honest with me like she is. Then she kept asking if I want her to put 2 lashes per lash, even though she clearly doesn't think it's a good idea. I told her I was unsure and to do what she thinks is best, but I honestly felt very uncomfortable and bullied into agreeing with the lady who is gluing stuff to my eyes. She just kept mentioning the fact that she was being sooo honest with me and doing a much better job than other places, and on and on. (My previous experience was very quiet and peaceful. Not so much here.) At the end when I saw the finished product I expressed that I liked them but wished the lashes were a little thicker. She said "oh well next time you can get the thicker ones"... um, had I been offered the thicker ones I would have spent the extra money for them, but how should I have known that was an option? I wouldn't think they would miss the opportunity to upsell those. Overall the lashes looked good and actually lasted really well, however the service left a bad taste in my mouth. love this place!!! reception area is so friendly and the music is so calming! i'm usually a person who is prone to eye-sensitivity, with my tear ducts acting up at even a slight breeze, so getting my lashes done usually sting/burn! however, from the moment i laid down and was getting my natural lashes prepped i knew i would have a fantastic experience!! the patches separating my under lid and upper lid was so refreshing (felt like an aloe eye patch!) and the two hours went by so quick! the technician who did my lashes took the time to look through my references / older picture i had of previous extensions, as well as explaining different types of curl patterns and styles!! she was super accommodating to helping me find a combination of a style i wanted and the style best fitted for my eye shape / lash strength! lashes were done so perfectly and i cannot rave enough!! every single time i get extensions, i always wake up with stinging and have trouble blinking- even at the most prestigious of salons! even with the synthetic lashes, my eyes look beautiful and the eyelashes are absolutely stunning!! heads up: make sure to set and appointment and take into account how much time you may need to discuss what lashes u want (** also cash only but there's a 7/11 around the corner if u need cash back!) i was also a new customer, and i think all the previous reviews are inaccurate to how well i was treated as a customer who benefited from the "50% off offer!" would definitely come back, and definitely recommending to all my girlfriends!! thank you so much i love lashes!! read more
