Here's a cleaner Yelp-style version that keeps your points but reads more naturally:…read more I usually get my eyebrows threaded in NYC, where it's surprisingly cheaper and there are more places to choose from. But I was in a crunch and needed somewhere local. I called ahead and was told eyebrow threading was $10. It's a little more than the $8 I usually pay in the city, but still the best price I've seen locally. When I arrived, there was a bit of a wait, with about four people ahead of me. Only one woman was handling eyebrow services while another staff member was doing a wax in the back. The line moved fairly quickly, but the place did feel a little understaffed. I also think some of the services could use a bit more privacy. One woman was getting a head massage in the main area, and it felt a little awkward having a line of people waiting nearby and watching. That said, the service was friendly and I was happy with the results. They also offer package deals for repeat customers and loyalty cards where your tenth service is free. It's not especially close to home for me, but honestly, it's worth the drive for the price.

Christy is an expert at what she does, I expected it to be a little painful, it wasn't. I have sensitive skin so I thought my eyebrows would be red for a while, they weren't. I am 24 hours post-lip blush and here was my experience:…read more I got to Michelle's studio where I was warmly welcomed, had to fill out some standard paperwork prior to starting. We then went into the room where Michelle patiently showed me all the colors available, swatching each color on my skin. She then custom-made a pigment according to what I wanted! Michelle then drew out the shape of my lips, and I asked for her to go a little outside my lips as I desired a more fuller but still natural look. After approving the drawing, we got started! I was numbed for the procedure with a cream, which got reapplied a few times when it wore off. To be honest. it was not pain-free, think, tattoo-level pain, That being said, it was obviously bearable. Several hours after the procedure, I went right to work! BEFORE: I was unhappy with the uneven tone on my top and bottom lip, they were very gray and lacked pigment. I really wanted some color in my lips, but something that looked natural and pretty. I also didn't want any down time as I'm very busy. Several hours afterwards: My lips were tingly and pretty swollen, but I was not in pain. I could still drink (out of a straw) and eat in small bites. The color was very pretty but hadn't settled in yet. 1 Day AFTER: My lips feel a little tight and dry, but not painful. Michelle gave me two ointments for them which make them feel great! Today the color looks more true to the pigment we concocted and looks like it's truly settling in. I'm very happy with the shape of my lips and color! All in all, I am super happy with the results. I loved them as soon as she was done, but I love them even more a day later! I can't wait to see how they turn out as time goes on, as I understand it, the color fades as it's meant to be a "blush." Lastly, Michelle was an absolute doll, so nice and patient and warm! I recommend this procedure 100%!

https://youtu.be/kODupkgFTrw Checkout my YouTube video…read morereview I was referred to Michelle by my best friend who had gotten her brows done by her and they looked so natural and amazing! Growing up I always had very sparse and light colored brows that required me to be self conscious and spend a lot of time in front of the mirror in the morning drawing in my brows with different types of brow products. Fast forward to today I have a baby and not a lot of time in the morning - I want to be able to wash my face and start the day and not waste any time on makeup! First I went in for a free consultation with Michelle. Her studio is located in Tenafly and has lots of free 2-3 hour parking on the street. Upon walking in the studio is beautiful - clean, luxurious and professional looking! I love the white and light gray color scheme she picked. I went into the room where she does the magic and laid down on the table where she mapped me and gave me an idea of how the final brow would look. After I was satisfied with the results I decided to book an appointment with her the following week. I showed up early and she was already in the studio setting up everything. I filled out some paper work and we got to business! The entire process took a few hours but was well worth it! She made sure to listen to my concerns and needs, never once rushed the session and was so easy to converse with! She started by mapping first, making sure the shape is perfect using rulers and pictures. Then she started numbing my skin. After 20 minutes she made the first pass. Then she applied numbing gel (which felt minty and refreshing) and started adding the pigment and more strokes to the brows. She even offered for me to choose what music I wanted to listen to (bonus!) I was beyond excited to do the final reveal which is where she cleans up the brows and wipes away any pigment and you get to see your new gorgeous brows! I highly recommend Michelle for professional, friendly and beautiful microblading!

Parking is somewhat difficult but that's to be expected in this area. However, the brow tinting was low quality. The staff member who did it put the tint all over my skin, and didn't do the full length of one of my brows. This meant my brow looked unnaturally thick but also short, since the front of my brow was not tinted. Then, when the staff member was removing the tint from my brows, she got some on my brow bone. I asked her to clean it up, but she said it would fade on its own. It did not. It peeled my skin and took off a few layers. If the tinting was done JUST over my eyebrow hair, it probably would have looked great. It faded within 4-5 days so I didn't have to deal with it for long, but I was surprised that a $30 tinting service (which included the waxing) faded so quickly. I did tell them that the service was not up to standard/the pictures on their pages. They apologized but said there was nothing they could do. Again, the waxing and staff are great! but the tinting is definitely a no from me.

The eyebrow tinting though... personally I won't get again. I have light brown eyebrows, and they were tinted black. I got these done ahead of time for a vacation, and I'm really glad I didn't get them closer to leaving. If you have lighter hair, I wouldn't recommend getting your brows tinted here.

I admit that I have never had my brows done by Kristina (how dare I?) my review, however, is for her professionalism, customer service, leadership and genuine ethical manner. I reached out to Kristina last year in 2020 because she was, and still is highly, highly recommended by pretty much everyone on Facebook in bergen county, NJ and beyond. She was also coincidentally referred by numerous friends in my town. When I finally spoke to Kristina I admitted that I was not one to 'get my brows' done because of my lack of hair in the area. I'm pretty bare. What I was seeking was a micro-blade specialist. Well, kuddos to Kristina!! !!! She didn't try to lure me to her (although she is a master at what she does! ) just look at her website and reviews! She didn't offer to apply grande brow to help my natural brow grow to have me as a return customer (that actually works by the way-Not knocking grande brow at all!! ) Kristina was genuinely looking for my best interest at heart. What a professional!! She suggested I go to someone that I ultimately went to. When I arrived for my microblading session they didn't even know who Kristina was!! Now that's honorable!! They didn't even know who she was! Anyhow, we are always quick to add negative reviews but this is totally valid and I am extremely grateful!! I am someone who doesn't get anything 'done' therefore I was nervous and cautious for many many years and finally opted for microblading which was HUGE for me!! Not to mention permanent and the price tag that comes along with is!! Kristina changed my LIFE!! (Not exaggerating -or maybe just a bit.) By the way, I should have written this review ages ago as this occurred last year in 2020 and I finally got my brows done during early covid. Now, almost a year later I am satisfied and I owe it all to Kristina!! FYI Kristina was in another establishment prior to opening up this own business of hers. She is booked for ages so hurry and book up! Wishing her continued success now and forever!! Keep up the good work Kristina-now I see why you are praised by so many!!
