He was willing to take the time to ask questions to get an idea of exactly what I wanted. He seemed knowledgeable about his work. And his pricing was competitive with the other contractors ($16/linear foot for 6' cedar privacy fencing as of 6/2018). Given that he seemed both professional and responsive to my inquiries, I went with him for the job and I'm glad I did. In 2 weeks & 2 days all he completed was 6.5 hours of work which included ripping up the flooring, some carpet & some trim. We had to get on his ass on when he was going to be coming to the house because for the first week he only showed up once for 2 hours. It was constant excuses of I need to right tools, I don't have a ride etc. When we fired him and asked for our money back he said he didn't have it and said he would have it in a week and a half. Then the day of a week and a half later said he would have it in the afternoon, when asked at what time he said between 5:30-6 pm, then around that time he finally told us he didn't have it. Now we are having to go through a civil lawsuit to get our money back. According to the WA Dept of labor & industries he has no contractor license which I didn't know before we hired him and he is not registered with the Dept. of Revenue which means he's not paying taxes on any of his income.

John the owner immediately turned around (driving) and was at our house in 20 minutes.
