That was above & beyond, and really appreciated!

I am still in shock, in the best way possible. My garage door wouldn't close on sunny days and I…read moreassumed my sensors were old and needed replacing. I replaced the sender side myself, but the receiver side had a bolt that was completely stuck. I got a quote from a handyman for $400 and a second quote from a garage repair service for $350. I was hesitant to commit to either. Then Guy told me it was an easy fix, a five minute job, and he would do it free of charge. Just for the positive brand awareness. I honestly could not believe it. He said he would be at my house within an hour. Every word was true. He arrived in less than an hour, ready to work. What I have to share is that the job was far from simple. The nut was corroded and fused to the bolt. We tried impact drivers. We etched grooves for flathead and Phillips screwdrivers to get more torque. Nothing worked. Guy ended up removing the entire railing and used a Dremel to cut the bolt out. Sparks were literally flying as we cut through metal together. After getting everything cleared, Guy had a brilliant idea. He reversed the position of the sender and receiver so the signal unit would no longer sit at the angle of the sun and distort the signal. He swapped the units, reinstalled every component, and tested everything until it all worked perfectly. What was supposed to be a five minute job turned into over an hour of dedicated, problem solving work. Through all of it, Guy never once mentioned payment. He would not accept a single dollar from me. In a world where it is easy to feel skeptical, Guy reminded me that honest, sincere, and genuinely skilled people still exist. His integrity, his expertise, and his generosity left a lasting impression on me and my family. I will be referring his company to every single person in my network. Thank you, Guy. Truly and sincerely, thank you.

When tech arrived he said they didn't work on these old doors anymore and just replace them. Waste of my time and his. Update: The type of door (tilt-up) and the requested service (spring repair/replacement) were in the original request for quotes. Two other firms responded saying that they didn't work on those doors/didn't have parts to fix them. You didn't, so I assumed you were coming to estimate the cost of repair to a tilt-up door. I provided the picture later, yes, but only as supplemental info. The type of door and requested service was in the yelp request.

At 2 o'clock, he was standing in my driveway with a smile on his face. He took a quick look at the problem, weighed my door and got to work replacing the springs, explaining to me what I needed and what he was doing. We had a pleasant chat as he replaced the springs, made adjustments to my door opener, lubed the rollers, track and springs, and tightened the nuts on the hinges, even replacing a couple that were missing. My door works better than it has in years. Being the nosey guy I am, I asked him how long he'd been in the business, and he told me 29 yrs., the last 7 with Hung Right ( I hope I remembered the numbers right). The best part was how pleased he is with working for such a great company. " The Brothers" are really good people and treat everyone right. Boy, that's nice to hear. Thank you, Scott, for your professionalism and such a pleasant attitude. You made my day. Rick H.

I would absolutely recommend this company as a retired couple who own our own home. I called on a Sunday just to say I accepted his bid, which he gave me online unlike the other companies who contacted me through Yelp. I swear, within 20 minutes the owner was at our home replacing the torsion springs on our garage door, and he was here less than an hour. I waited a couple of days to write a review to give the work lots of work and everything works great. My wife even asked if I recognize that the door is quieter. If you want honest and transparency with your garage door installer/repairman then I would highly recommend Emerald.

Torre is a magician and he is also very humble. I was not very happy with the garage opener that my home had and every time I operated the door, it was pulling too hard and door was opening and shutting with noise on belt and thump of door. Torre came and he took time to look, and explained everything in simple words for me, a person who has no idea how garages work. He also did not sell me anything and explained my options if I kept my garage belt and opener as current without any changes, which was an option. I decided to replace it with very reasonable cost and he came back the following week, he worked so quietly and was done in less than 2 hours. Months later, I am so happy with the price and service I was given.
