While we understand that we had a smaller scope of work, we expected much better. Quality: they're are many defects that I am still discovering with workmanship on this project, and we are currently still waiting for crown molding trim to be completed for the upper cabinets (this project began in January). Professionalism: Attention to details in the planning process seemed to have been heavily ignored. The wrong laminate was installed on the kitchen countertop, and it took nearly two weeks to remedy the situation (see photos below). Scott (the quasi project manager) seemed to have a very apathetic attitude toward the situation when we made attempts to reach him after discovering the issues. Timeliness: While I fully understand how delays often occur in construction supply chains, KDC's contractors seem to believe that adhering to a schedule is optional, rather than mandatory. We were originally told that work would begin in late December, however demolition didn't actually begin until early February. With that, we were also given roughly a 2 week timeline for completion of the project. It took roughly until the beginning of March to have a functional kitchen again. With the understanding that we had a more limited scope of work compared to a full kitchen remodel, KDC seemed to value us as lower priority. Ultimately, I would strongly advise finding a different company to work with, perhaps somebody who has better oversight of their contractors/sub-contractors

You get a fly-by-night crew messing up your concrete, and there's no easy solution. I got three bids on my patio. Sione's was the most expensive. But in the walk-thru, Paul noticed things the other contractors didn't. He asked really good questions and provided a price quickly. His decades of experience was evident. So I decided to spend more and use him. He and his crew didn't disappoint. I wanted an arc on the end of the patio, and they worked on the form until I was happy with it. They answered all my questions and I had a lot. I'd overseen a lot of commercial concrete in my career, but was unfamiliar with several things they did during this residential job. It wasn't wrong, it was just unfamiliar. They explained why they were doing what they were doing, so I withheld judgment until the end. There were a couple of details in their prep work I wasn't happy with. They changed them without complaint or argument. And they cleaned up after they were done. On top of everything else, the crew was amazingly fast. Concrete is brutal work, but these guys moved like a well-oiled machine. The result was a beautiful product. No low spots, perfect slope, clean joint, beautiful radiused edges. I will definitely use them again when I'm ready to replace my old driveway. And I will recommend them to anyone I know looking for quality concrete work.

They expanced and remodeled the master bathroom plus added a double vanity and luxury rain shower with multiple shower heads that feels like a private mountain spa. In the kitchen, Justin suggested live-edge countertops that kept a handcrafted feel and the specialty finishing work which full of character, refinished floors, warm natural tones, and trim that looked original but new again. They built custom bunk beds for my kids which guests absolutely love and adds real value for short-term rentals. They installed some smart home features and cameras that help me manage and keep an eye on the cabin from a distance. They also did some landscaping work and installed landscape lighting that brings out the natural beauty of the forest around the cabin at night. It feels magical! My kids are thrilled and the cabin started booking almost immediately! Guests constantly comment on how it feels both cozy and modern with just the right mix of old and new. Since then, I've had JIT back several times for small projects and quick repairs between guest stays. They're always fast, dependable, and incredibly kind which means so much when the cabin's only vacant for a day or just a few hours at a time. They've also provided cleaning services for me a few times when I've been in a pinch. After being burned before, finding someone as honest, creative, and communicative as Justin was such a relief. JIT wasn't the cheapest option but I'm so glad I chose them! His team brought our cabin back to life and helped blend family history with modern comfort in a way my grandparents would be proud of!
