What a scam. They broke our iPad when they replaced the battery and then tried to charge us to put on an aftermarket screen because they broke it. Now we have a broken iPad and a new battery! The people here are extremely cool. About 10-30 minutes after closing on I ran inside desperate to have my phone fixed. At first they turned me down saying "they we're closed." Good afternoon; On Saturday December 12, 2020 I took my son's phone there to get the screen replaced. I picked up the phone and was charged $144.27 and told and written on the receipt that there is no warranty water damage. When I got home I informed my son who asked "how is there water damage if I never dropped my phone in water"? He also proceeded to tell me that he has had his screened repaired before with Apple and private locations and was never informed about water damage. I also confirmed with Apple and private locations about prior fix and they informed that they never noticed water damage. Now today is Monday 12/14 and there is a black line across my son's phone and of course because they wrote on the receipt water damage/no warranty the store refused to look at it. I wanted in writing confirmation that there was water damage so the I can compare with Apple and other location that the store discovered water damage. I am under the impression that this was done intentionally so that we can take the phone back and pay again to fix. This was my first time where I cracked my iphone screen. I went to the ubreakifix store in Westwood and told the store was closing in about an hour and they could not fix it in that time frame. I went to the IFIX location in Wayne and within less than 10 minutes they fixed my phone. I bought a new phone case and with the repair costs, it was less in price then I was quoted in Westwood. Awful customer service - I had a screen replacement done on my iPhone 7 - At first view, it looked okay - a little dark but overall okay - but when I took it out of the store and tried viewing a video - the phone looked like complete garbage. Light shined through the edges badly and the images looked muddy. I've had replacement screens before without these issues - I brought it back less than 12 hours later and asked that they refund me and put my original screen on (which they admitted they still had) but they refused and snickered at me, saying that all replacement screens would look like this - NOT TRUE! They would not refund me for the job they just did the night before and scoffed at the idea of standing behind their product - their site says that they exceed expectations - well that is a complete lie! Asked for the manager - was told he would be there at 2 - thankfully I called at 2 - not there - was told he'd be in at 3 - called at 3 - still not there - left my number awaiting a call-back - will update once I receive.... Such a bad experience. First time ever needing repair of iPhone shattered screen. Poorly repaired (home button rough and bright light in corner of screen. He said it was fine but if I had any problems I had 30 day guarantee. Sure enough within the week the sharpness from the button turned into a long crack. When I returned to him he refused to fix unless I paid another $100. He claimed I broke it. I am now disputing charge with credit card company. This afternoon my husband and I decided to go to the mall and stop at this Kiosk to inquire on how much they would charge him for replacing his IPhone 6s Plus cracked screen. "Farhad" took care of us and told my husband that he could replace the screen for $90 and throw in a FREE screen protector if we paid cash. We agreed to this deal and left him the phone. It took less than 25 mins for him to replace the screen but before we walked away we tested the phone. We noticed the home button wasnt working. Farhad told us that he would fix it to come back in 20 mins. We waited at the kiosk just in case something went wrong. He noticed that the screen he had installed was faulty so he had to get another screen and installed it. While he was installing the screen my husband and him entered in friendly small talk. Once he was done we tested the phone and it worked perfectly. My husband handed him $100 bill and he said your total is $96 and some change. My husband said you told me it was $90 if I paid cash. Farhad said well you have to add tax and the screen protector to that. My husband said NO, you said $90 no tax and free protector. Farhad went ahead and said $5 wont make you richer or poorer. So my husband said I wont pay $96 because you said $90 at first why are you overcharging me now? He insisted on charging tax. My husband said Ok if you want to charge me tax then charge my credit card and give me back the $100 bill. Farhad said you know what I will give you $10 from my own money and go buy food. My husband was in shock by his words because my husband is heavy set and it was offensive. They exchanged words and I had to get involved because it was getting ugly. I told Farhad he was discriminating towards my husband because of his weight so I asked him if he would like for someone to discriminate him for his heavy accent. I also told him that he has no business being in customer service if he doesnt know how to treat clients. My husband and I are both business owners and we strive to please customers. Farhad must have been having a bad day or maybe was stressed but it was not necessary for him to discriminate my husband becuase of weight. In other words he was giving my husband $10 to go buy food and telling him to leave the kiosk. FARHAD is RACIST and RUDE. He should be happy that my husband and I were with our 1 year old daughter today and that we have no interest in harming anyone but if we were other people I am sure he would have provoked a physical altercation because he has no control of emotions or words. We asked to speak to the owner of the kiosk and were told the owner wasnt there. We wont let this ruin the rest of our holiday but I am sure this wont be the last time this company will hear from us.
