I was impressed by their ability to complete the repair of my Pixel 4a phone (battery replacement - the battery is soldered into the assembly) in a timely manner (same day). I am a volunteer ambulance driver and depend on the phone for EMS notifications. The staff at this facility was friendly and competent. The lack of honesty from this company is astonishing. Terrible customer service, never answering calls, extremely long wait times, misleading communication, and overall unprofessional behavior. I attempted to call the store on more than 7 different occasions at different times throughout the day and days, and no one ever answered the phone. They kept my computer for months, repeatedly telling me they "hadn't had time" to work on it, while constantly giving me different stories and excuses. At this point, I am starting to believe this company operates like a scam. What is especially concerning is how closely my experience matches many other one-star reviews. In particular, the review from October 10, 2024 describes almost the exact same situation I went through. Now they claim they "recycled" my computer after giving me three different explanations about what happened to it. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

I brought my Lenovo laptop into have an estimate done for repair. I was told that someone would get back to me in about a week. No one did. I attempted to call the store on five different occasions at different times during the day and no one ever picked up the phone. Eventually, I had to call up Asurion and ask them to connect me with the store which they were able to do. We were now 5 weeks from when I dropped it in and the person who answered told me that my laptop hadn't been looked at yet because the person who took it in was on vacation. The store has taking a total 360 from the last time I brought my laptop in for repair. It just seems like a ship without a captain. I would never recommend it to anyone. read more

Went in looking for a phone battery replacement. No battery in store, "will take a few days to get it," I was told. Fine, I said; you have my phone number and email address. Let me know when the battery is in. Meanwhile, I said, I see from your internal advertising--which I have had a lot of time to read, although not as much time as the guy who's been in the store for THREE HOURS--that you do data transfer. I have a Windows 7 laptop and need all data, including freeware, transferred to my still-in-the-box Windows 11 laptop. "Sure, we can do that. But I hope you won't need it right away." Oh, no, I replied. I'm going on a trip and can leave the two machines with you for five days. "Oh, yeah, sure. We can get it done in that amount of time." The day before my trip I went in to drop off the laptops. Asked if the phone battery was in yet, since was four full business days since I made the request. "No, not here yet. Should be in soon." Uh huh. After my five-day trip--so now we are talking ten days since the battery request--I went in to pick up my laptops. "It's impossible to transfer the files," I was told. And the phone battery? "The first time we ordered it the order got cancelled. The second time, the order got cancelled. Did you want us to try ordering it again?" No, I said. No, I don't want you to reorder the battery. I want get out of this place and give the work to a competent company. Please give me my laptops. Although it was a Sunday I found an independent IT company willing to do the file transfer. Four hours later I had two laptops with identical files and file structures. My Windows 11 machine had been set up in Windows 7 mode for my ease of use. While the company's owner was doing the demo on the new machine he said casually "Didn't you say that ubreakIfix told you it was 'impossible' to transfer the files?" Yes, I replied, that's what they told me. "I wonder how they knew that, since the new machine had never even been turned on," he said. In short, my experience is that you should believe nothing you are told by the staff at this location. Needless to say I would never take my tech to this or any other ubreakIfix location. It's also only fair to say that when I called the ubreakIfix national "customer support" number I was treated very professionally and courteously by the person to whom I first spoke. I had a callback after that from someone who was, if possible, even more pleasant and professional than the first person was. But the damage had already been done. read more

I was faced with a difficult phone situation that took almost 3-4 days for this amazing team to pull off. Cracked phone with no option to navigate through it, no back up and then trying to get it recovered onto a new 14 pro max. I don't know how they did it but they did after several different attempts, long download hours and dreadful days and they did it with great patience! Despite advertising that ubreakifix can replace the battery in an iPad they can't. I was told that I would have my iPad back the next day. Instead of getting my iPad back with new battery I had to wait three days just to find out that ubreakifix's batteries often don't work in iPads. They also don't answer their phones when you call and the folks on the main line are not helpful. If you have an Apple product you are better off not wasting your time here. read more

Above and Beyond!!! This past weekend I needed to repair my daughters iPad screen which had a sizable crack in it. My daughter has autism and we use the iPad both as a learning tool as well as a way to pacify her when she's going through a tough moment. I brought it to uBreakiFix in Wayne, by the Willowbrook Mall. From top to bottom this experience couldn't have been more perfect. The staff there is extremely friendly and helpful, they explained to me all of my options as well as the costs. I asked them if they could get the iPad back to us that day, because of my daughters needs, and they not only did that. But because of a bad batch of screens, the tech Derrick, even visited another store to get what he needed in order to make it happen! I couldn't be happier and will be returning there for any and all future electronic service needs. Truly amazing, like I said, above and beyond!!
