I ordered the Chicken Doner Box with rice and fries ($14.99). The chicken was on top of a bed of rice and fries. I could have chosen salad instead of one of the previous two. The chicken, rice, and fries were perfect! It also comes with 3 sauces. If you are dining in, the box is put on top of an ornate plate. I also got a small sample of beef shawarma to try. The beef was so tasty by itself! Everything is homemade from scratch, using never frozen ingredients. Even the beef is from a big slice of beef and prepared in-house. 90% of Kebab restaurants used frozen meat. The sauces are also made in-house. There is no free WiFi. The restaurant is not wheelchair accessible. There are no customer washrooms. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2024-058

The joint was empty when we showed up, which meant we had our pick of tables. After perusing the menu for a little while, I couldn't help but ask what a Hatay Wrap was. I was told it's a standard wrap that's coated in a tomato sauce and then heated up. I was intrigued, so I said sure and got that with chicken. It was ready about 10 minutes later and it's certainly a hefty concoction. I took one bite and knew that I was eating something above average, as the various components were all really well prepared and flavorful. I could've used some spice, sure, but otherwise I pretty much inhaled the thing. I'll definitely be returning.

Their prices are pretty affordable and their quantity given for each portion is quite generous. I loved this place. Tried 3 different menu items, from their lamb shish kebab to their mixed kebab plate, but my favourite had to be their iskender kebab. I love that they've got daily specials and there's a wide range of Turkish drinks to choose from. There's also sutlac for dessert! You can customize your sandwich/wrap to your liking. Heard good things about their chicken döner too, hopefully next time I'll try that. Lots of seating space and ample parking in the plaza. Looking forward to visiting again soon. They've also got a location in Woodbridge & Vaughan.

Quite possibly the best meal I've had in Toronto so far…read more Kabob Guys is an Afghan grill on the corner of Richmond and Spadina, and it's exactly the kind of place I love discovering. The restaurant has a casual, welcoming feel with communal seating and a few two-top tables. While there were only a handful of people dining in, they were doing a brisk takeout business, and it was easy to see why. From the moment I walked in, everyone was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. I ordered the chicken tandoori and the shish kebab with their flavorful garam rice, and everything was outstanding. Both kebabs were tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The garam rice was aromatic, fluffy, and packed with flavor. Everything arrived fresh, hot, and made to order, with just the right amount of spice to enhance the food without overpowering it. One thing I especially appreciated was finding a meal that felt fresh and wholesome. Sometimes it seems like every chicken place serves something fried or overly heavy, so this was exactly what I was looking for. The restaurant was spotless, the service was excellent, and the downtown location makes it an easy stop whether you're grabbing takeout or sitting down for a meal. This was easily my favorite meal in Toronto so far, and I'll definitely be back. If you're looking for authentic Afghan cuisine that's fresh, flavorful, and served with genuine hospitality, Kabob Guys is absolutely worth a visit.

Bolanee was a good way to start, while the Wakil gave us both tandoori chicken and shish kabob with rice, salad, naan, and sauces. The Chicken Qurma was warm and comforting, and the Chaplee Wrap was a good option for sandwich-lovers. Everything was fresh and perfectly marinated and grilled. The staff are friendly and attentive.
