Service was friendly and welcoming, where we were given ample time to look at the menu and ask any questions regarding the menu (if we had any). I decided to order the NK grill (a mix of tandoori chicken, shami (beef) kabob, and classic chicken). Each grill meal comes with a salad, rice, and naan. We also got a container of creamy garlic kabob dip to go with our meals. Our food took around 10-15 min to be made and were brought to our table once ready. The naan bread the meal came with was also warm and delicious. My NK grill meal was delicious! The Afghani rice was flavourful and savoury, a perfect carb to go with the grilled kabobs. The tandoori chicken had a slight kick but was tolerable for me. All the meats, especially the chicken was tender and not dry at all. The side salad was also refreshing as well. These are dumplings filled with ground beef and sautéed onions and topped with savoury sautéed split peas and ground beef sauce and garlic yogurt. I was given a restaurant pager to inform me when my order was ready to be picked up. I was provided with a large, glass water bottle and a glass on my serving tray. As this restaurant is more self-service, I appreciated this unexpected gesture. The mantus were so delicious. All the flavours and textures worked so well together.
