DO NOT GO HERE. That is if you can even figure out when they're open. They do not answer their phone, they have different hours posted on every website (google, Facebook, their own website, yelp). In fact they even told me the wrong hours through Facebook messenger. I am just trying to get a left credit card back, but trust me I will never spend money here again. Management is atrocious. Food and drinks are okay, but the atmosphere is fun! We came after a Cubs game had let out so the crowd was quite lively. We came again the next day, again after a Cubs game. As the evenings wore on I noted people getting sloppy and grabby on the dance floor so I think the servers & bartenders might want to pay a bit more attention. read more

This is your typical Wrigleyville bar but the inside is pretty sweet. They have a large variety of beers on tap including Sweetwater 420 and Sweetwater Blue which is awesome for anyone from the south! I recommend this bar before any other Wrigley bar. read more

Grabbed a beer and a couple of pizzas with the family before a Cubs game. No complaints other than a lack of visits from the waitress to check on refills. Good food. Maybe a little over priced. Got us in and out fairly quickly, but I'm sure it helped that we were first in the door when they opened. read more

Despite the name, it was boiling inside this pizza-focused pub. One of the few Wrigleyville bars that has a lower percentage of douches and douchettes. They had a live band playing good covers so that was fun. FYI, though Heating & Cooling Pub is in Wrigleyville, they have River North prices so a simple mixed drinks will set you back about $12. read more

I do not get this place. The name is HVAC, yet it's going for some kind of contrived biker bar/pizza joint theme. I don't understand what either of those have to do with HVAC. We ordered wine, had to ask for glasses to be replaced because they were sticky and filthy; second set of glasses not much better. Pours on the wine were very stingy twice so we switched to beer. All around just a weird, weird place. Only good thing was the spacious layout of the floor and plenty of seating. read more

I really want to like this place. They have good pizza and I want to support places that have live music, however the prices they charge are RIDICULOUS! Having lived in Wrigley for 3 years this bar has by far the highest prices per drink. $11 for a vodka cranberry in a DIXIE CUP! No lie, they use cups people by for water in their bathroom. They are that small. Really its criminal. In terms of service, their off season hours are horrible and inconsistent. If you leave something there it will take you weeks to get it back. The service could be better too, last time I was there it was PACKED and they only had two bartenders one of which was incredibly rude. From now on I'm sticking to Old Crow for live music, they charge crazy prices too but at least they are in Mason Jars not mini plastic cups. read more

I paid $10 cover and $5 for a can of Miller lite. Which was fine I expect that but what I didn't expect was the disgusting restroom. It had no toilet paper, no soap there was puke and pee every where. I asked for toilet paper and the staff still wasn't accommodating. I had to grab bar napkins just to use the bathroom. read more

i mean it's what you expect from a wrigleyville bar--i am predisposed to hate this place. but they straight up gave my debit card to someone else. they gave me someone else's tab. literally never had this happen at a bar or any other establishment nor heard of this happening to someone else. so I had to cancel my card immediately, as I'm sure they gave it to some drunk depaul fratboy who left with it. bartender also shamed me into finishing a shot of whiskey (out of a plastic cup) I didn't realize I'd left a tiny bit left in. read more

A welcome addition to the Wrigleyville strip...not just another bar with mediocre pub food and your generic beer list. Pretty affordable, decent pizza! You can definitely get much better pizza in the city but it's fresh and tasty. The brand new space has a cool rock vibe and plenty of tables to seat the pregame crowds. Long beer list of drafts, cans and tallboys. Pizza took a while and server wasn't great because she was busy, but you have to expect that before a game. I'll likely be back before more games this summer. read more

HVAC pub used to be a reggae bar. That's how old I am. Anyhow, allow me to set the scene for you. 08/24/15 Cubs vs Cleveland. Lester vs Kluber. The game was won by a walk off home run by Kris Byrant. Enough said. I never went to the urinal once during the game. I avoided the inches of urine in the bathroom. I only had two beers. My cousin and I went to HVAC pub. Of course the first thing I did was go to the bathroom. I ordered a micro beer when I returned. What a great selection of beers. What's more impressive is the little red rooster pizza. It's like having a chicken wing on a pizza. Freaking awesome. I am only deducting a star because our server forgot my beer for about an hour. She ended up giving it to us for free with a few fireball shots which I thought was noble. Definitely coming back for the little red rooster. Ridiculous! read more

Went here for New Years. it was $107.00 just to be admitted into the bar with appetizers (cold pizza and wings) and supposedly a champagne toast at midnight that didnt happen. I thought, okay, im not from the city so the prices are higher, its probably a nice place being next to Wrigley and all. My girlfriend alerted me to the fact i may have been underdressed because we didnt really discuss what kind of atmosphere it would be like, and in my head i thought "oh its just a bar" and wore some jeans, a nice sweater and dress shoes. That wasnt a problem, however, as many people were in jeans, sneakers, and regular shirts. At some points i was hit in the head from projectile ice via the top section that overlooked the main floor, as well as me and another couple having a near-whole drink spilled from above as well. There was also an issue with some predatory guys running around on the dance floor trying to dance with and get really close to unsuspecting females and then shouldering their buddies and laughing after they had touched or grinded on someone. I was keeping an eye on them because they got close to my friend group a couple times. Thankfully for them, they didnt do anything too serious other than being immature and ruining the fun. Security did nothing. The bouncers, at first, were average. seemed moderately friendly enough. As someone who gets a little uncomfortable being shoulder to shoulder with people for extended hours, i need to get fresh air every once in a while. The bouncers said it was fine and i could come back in after exiting. Well, towards the end of the night, i went out for some fresh air and the guy at the door would not let me back in. He said as i tried to reenter that he "told" me that i wouldnt be able to get back in but he didnt say a word. I had to stand outside in near-freezing weather for like 20 minutes while my friends were inside. I guess thats my biggest complaint. It was late, New Years, and the bar was closed technically so all in all i probably was at some fault. However, there were 100's of people still in the bar. I dont think stopping me from going in when i already have a wristband (as opposed to random people showing up) was necessary. Overall, the bartenders were okay, the bouncers were meh, the place looked okay aesthetically, and there were some sketchy folks the place attracted, but i can hardly attribute that last one to the bar. My favorite part about the night was the guy who set up in the bathroom to assist in materials and everything. He was super friendly and I gave him a fat tip. read more

I got here around 8:30pm to meet up my friends and they had only the big window in front open and all the other windows closed. NO AC. It was so hot and sticky in there with only like 20 people. The DJ was really good but that's about it. The bar tender I dealt with that had short blonde hair seem to have an attitude problem. I wouldn't want to come back here again. At least not in the summer, idk it was like 100 degrees in there. So gross. read more

Terrible terrible terrible service and experience last night. Tattoo behind the bar had the worst attitude ever last night. I was a bartender and immediately learned to put on the smile fake or real it's part of the job. That's also why it's called work. And it helps with your tip. Remember people are always watching. Nice change of pace from "standard" wrigleyville bars. Great set-up for game days (can't beat all the TV's). Not a bad seat in the house. House specialty slice was tasty. Menu is pretty standard, simple; nice that they offer individual slices after 9pm. Our server, Bami (spelling?) was PHENOMENAL last Sat for the Hawks game. Came in before Pearl Jam concert. Were told that it would be 20 min before we get seated this was at 5:15pm. Over 1 hour later they seat the 2 of us with another couple (which was fine), but had they told me 1 hour when I walked in, I would have gone somewhere else and this review wouldn't be happening. So Im over the waiting 1 hr because Im starving and just happy to be seated. Waiting for the waitress... and waiting... and waiting. The other couple stopped her and asked if she could come take our order. She said something about being really busy and couldn't - she didn't even take a drink order from us. 30 min went by - she never came back or even looked our direction. On 2 separate occasions I tried to get her attention by politely saying "excuse me" - No response - like I didn't exist. The couple sitting with us took the leftover pizza off the table behind us and ate that. The pizza looked good, but I wouldn't know.. Finally, about 30 min later she comes over to take our order. I ask how long a burger takes - she tells me about 25 min (which probably means 45 min at this place). It was already 6:45 and the concert starts at 7:30 so we just got up and left. When we told the waitress she didn't bring us the right beer she rolled her eyes and then basically ignored us the entire rest of the time we were there. I live 1 block away and was happy when HVAC arrived in the neighborhood. Very cool bar, live music, clean, family friendly during off bar hours & very Welcoming. The only thing that upsets me with this place is the prices. I get raising your prices on game days or late at night, but raising the prices and ripping people off is a different story. Was out on Saturday during the Cubs game and went to 3 bars, two bars my Vodka and 7-up was between $7.00- $8.00, but when I went to HVAC it was $11.00. This is not the Ritz, its Wrigleville. Until prices come down to normal neighborhood prices, HVAC will not get my business. read more

We have been here a couple of times and always enjoyed it. Our last experience was on June 29 before and after the tom petty concert. We met a bartender named Kinga (sp?) The service we received from her was above and beyond any expectations. My girlfriend had gotten a minor injury that required some ice before we got there. When we asked her where we could throw the ice pack she immediately made her a new one and made sure we never went without. We stopped back after the concert and as soon as we walked in Kinga asked if she needed ice again. Genuinely great person in a place full of very good people. We couldn't have been more thankful for her. read more

They take reservations on busy nights, so good luck getting a table. I was kicked out of a table three times. You would think they would let you know when you sat down. Service is non existent if you're not sitting at a table. I cannot comment on the food bc as I said, servers do not cash cocktail. read more

Don't go on game day!! We were there 1 1/2 hrs before game time and barely made it for first pitch. Food was mediocre and took forever to get! Took 40 min for us to get the food and the family sitting next us that ordered well before us still had not received their meal. And, don't try to contact them, their phone number conveniently goes directly to voice mail and they do not return messages, they don't respond to emails or FB messages either. read more
