I had a fun time at this bar/dance club on a very cold Saturday night visiting Chicago. This whole street is filled with bars that have a DJ or live music. I had a great time barhopping. The music here was played by a DJ and it was mostly hip-hop and rap with a few pop songs. Lots of Twerking and trying to stand on the tables. the age group was mixed. Definitely some early 20s kids but also some men and women in their early 40s of all races, I enjoyEd the diversity. The place was pretty packed. Lots of drunk people shoving you and not saying excuse me lol. I am 27 and I'm already over that type of thing. It was still a good time though. They did not have a cover charge. RATING ZERO!!!! while trying to enter the establishment i experienced the most distasteful encounter. my friends and I were enjoying a bachelorette party (an evening on the town in our cowgirl themed outfits ). half the party arrived prior to us (literally like 5 minutes apart ) and were already inside. Once we arrived, we were told they don't do themes and we could not enter. This was confusing to me since the other part of our group was allowed to enter with the exact same attire. I simply asked were they being discriminatory since part of our group was allowed to enter with the same attire on. the owner then proceeded to say he didn't want to let us in because we used the word "discriminatory." It was as if they were finding any excuse to not let us in even though the other part of our group could visibly be seen through the window wearing the exact same attire that the owner mentioned was not allowed. To put the icing on the cake, I took a photo of their "rules" and it mentioned "NO BASEBALL CAPS." Despite the rules printed on the front of their establishment, they allowed 5+ people inside with baseball caps. funny though how the owner was acting offended by the question "are you discriminating against the rules you want to enforce " while discriminating and picking and choosing which rules to enforce. I guess it depended on who was wearing what and what he felt like giving a pass. All I'm going to say is, people of lighter persuasions we allowed entry despite not adhering to the rules (I.e.: base ball caps ) and no they were not CUBS base ball caps. Second time I've been here and I had such wonderful memories of the first so I'm sad to leave two stars. We were so excited to come by with the outdoor tables but the service was terrible. Our waitress was very kind but must have been the only waitress for the entire establishment because we never saw her. When we did, we had already waited for 20 min. Then tried to reorder and record the wrong drinks. Tried to get new drinks and she never returned. We couldn't even pay because she never returned so we are hoping the cash we left in the table made it her way. Music and ambiance was great though. And I recall the pizza was good. I was recently invited to Hvac's new brunch option every weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 1PM - 3PM! It was a fantastic experience. Me and 5 friends showed up (a little late) at 1:30PM and were greeted upon arrival with a table all setup + a balloon with my name on it. We got 2 complimentary bottles of champagne and a complimentary chicken bacon pizza. The table was setup was so thoughtful and the pizza was surprisingly very very tasty. My 2 girlfriends also ordered chicken tenders tossed in barbecue sauce that they said really hit the spot. The mimosas tied the entire experience together! The ambiance was great. I have frequented HVac at nighttime however I liked it more during the day as it wasn't as crowded, we could hear the people around us, and the decorations in the joint are actually cute (I could never see them at night haha!) Overall a fantastic experience. If you haven't checked out this new brunch spot you definitely need to. Great staff, good food, and amazing drinks. Thanks HVac!!!! read more

Very dissatisfied with my musty vodka soda. My brother got a tequila soda and I'm fairly certain the only reason it didn't taste musty was because tequila has a distinctive taste. Along with the drink leaving a bad taste in my mouth, the bill did as well. I'm fine with paying roughly 12 bucks for a drink and also paying for a restaurant surcharge and gratuity in one. What is kinda scammy is also having the suggested tip if gratuity is already included. I always tip but are you almost taking advantage of people not totally looking at the bill at the club? The food is good, but the selection is quite limited. Sure, that could be a COVID thing, and I get it. But they could do so much better. The music here is awesome. NEVER GO HERE!!!!! I've never felt more unsafe, mistreated, and dismissed in my entire life. The bad started when my friends got vodka crans at the bar and the bartenders made them with tequila. When my friends asked for them to be re-made as they paid and were given the wrong drinks, the bartenders said no since they already sipped them. Then the bartenders whispered behind the bar to their other staff, laughing at the situation. Finally, one bartender said she'd remake them and gave them only cranberry juice, with no alcohol. Even though they fully paid for these drinks! The night got worse when I was leaving. I was assaulted IN the establishment and the security yelled at ME! A guy pulled my hair and yanked me to the ground, while the security sat there watching and doing nothing at all. My friend stepped in and had to kick the guy to get him off me and on our way out, the security yelled at us. I've never felt more disrespected and disgusted in my entire life. Never EVER go here. They are horrible and disgusting. They do not care about their customers at all. The worst part is when I reached out to the owner he told me I was lying, that nothing like that could happen in his establishment. Truly, truly I can not express enough how horrible this place is. One of my favorite pubs in the Wrigleyville neighborhood in Chicago. Few blocks down from the Cubs stadium itself. You will know when you're near this pub because you can hear it from a couple blocks away. The music here has always been good and the atmosphere always lively. Finding a table is a hit-or-miss but hanging out at the bar is as nice. Haven't been able to take note of the scotch or cognac collection but I doubt this would be the place for me to sip on either or. Beer selection is okay but sit back and enjoy the music. HVAC also prides itself on its pizza and food as well. I must say, I haven't had too much food here but I'm sure it will add to the atmosphere just as well. Outdoor patio is perfect for those summer days as well. I'll always be swinging by this place before a Cubs game. read more

This place is amazing. If you are ever in Wrigleyville and hungry this is a must stop place. They don't have a huge menu , but their pizza is out of this world. They have a potato pizza, a barbecue and honey mustard pizza, and this awesome shrimp pizza. Im in Franklin Park and will go there just for that The service is really great. Everyone is super friendly. One of the bartenders, shelly , she is really sweet and strikes up a conversation with you. She has never been in a bad mood or gives anyone attitude like many upon many bartenders tend to do! She gave us her opinion on which pizzas to try and she was right on point! They have live music sometimes and karaoke i think on Tuesdays . Its a nice newer modern bar too, gets crowded at times but they have an upstairs they open up when a lot of people come in! read more

Went to HVAC on a Thursday afternoon following a cubs game & had a great time. Went again on a Friday evening and enjoyed myself. Saturday evening I stopped by with my business manager to have a drink and was stopped by security and informed that overnight there was suddenly a new policy not allowing entry for anyone with head or face tattoos. As professional artist & entertainer I was shocked that an establishment like a pub which features live bands would institute such a discriminatory policy. I literally showed the security a picture of me in the bar the day before that I took with some staff and patrons, and he stated that he was sorry but there was nothing he could do. Clearly HVAC IS COOL WITH DISCRIMINATION which makes it a place I definitely would not recommend. read more

Went here before the Lady Gaga concert at Wrigley Field. We got there early enough (4:30) so it was very empty, by 6:30 though it was packed!! Be sure to get there early enough or make a reservation. Prices were very reasonable for Wrigleyville, especially for pitchers of drinks---$30 for mixed drink pitchers divided by 8 people. We had our fair share of food between pizza, nachos, Mac and cheese. The spinach pizza and macaroni had to be my favorite. Good place to stop when in Wrigley, or just for dinner and drinks. read more

My boyfriend and I arrived a few hours early for the Cubs game. I had picked out a few restaurants to try beforehand. Unfortunately, he thought they were all too far, and we settled on this place. I think he thought it looked cool because it had a rock 'n' roll feel to it. The sign outside said HVAC, and we didn't know what that stood for. I wanted to check in on Yelp but HVAC wasn't coming up. The restaurant name was not listed on the menu, so we googled it, and the restaurant wasn't even on Google Maps. We got the name from our receipt. We were seated inside at first, but a band was playing way too loudly, like ear blisteringly loud. The music was so loud that people inside were covering their ears. I think the people playing were from School of Rock Chicago. So we moved outside in the sun. I don't know why they don't have umbrellas on all the tables. The flimsy tree we sat under couldn't cover both of us and we didn't want to go back inside because of the excessively loud music, so we suffered under the sun a bit. First world problems, man. We ordered the rock-a-hula pizza. It had pineapple, prosciutto, and arugula. When we got the pizza, my boyfriend joked "I didn't order a salad on our pizza." I told him fresh veggies were trending on pizzas right now. It was quite a mix of flavors but the pizza was really good. I would definitely order it again. Service was lacking. Our waitress did not refill my water. Other servers were checking on their tables, but ours was MIA. We thought about going to another place to grab a drink before the game after our meal, but there were people everywhere and restaurants looked crowded as the game inched closer. Went to HVAC for the first time yesterday before the Cubs game and I was amazed (shouldn't of been because Adolfo always amazes). Had the seafood cob salad which was huge and one of the best I have ever had. The pizza is also great. So many different beers I wanted to try all 80 Such a cool spot that has a great vibe, great service and great food. We sat at the bar and the bartender was so much fun, engaging, knowledgeable and a great ambassador. I can't wait to go back for the live music and to also sit outside on their huge patio. read more

If I could, I would give ZERO stars. Not only am I upset about the massive mouth drying dusting of grainy flour sitting on the bottom of the pizza, I am also upset that when my pizza arrived, the pizza was in disarray! I do not order out often and when I do I expect it to be good. After looking at many restaurants, I chose to order from here. I will not be ordering again and I want a REFUND. The pizza is barely edible with the massive dusting of unappetising flour on the bottom. Once you look at the pictures I upload I think anyone will understand my fury. I stopped eating my first slice to write this review. UPDATE: I called DoorDash, the delivery service, and got a refund; however, I still will not be ordering from the restaurant again! The manager I talked to at the restaurant said what I understood as there nothing was wrong with having the flour on the bottom of the pizza. When you're in Wrigleyville, you need to drink; there's no exception. Luckily there are spots all over the neighborhood to fill your belly. The only issue is, which spot? Most of these bars are filled with douches, chads, suburbanites, etc., so your options are limited. I took it upon myself to take on this quest and find a douche-free establishment. Eventually, I gave up and had some drinks at HVAC pub. In all seriousness, this bar wasn't half bad. They serve some decent beers, they got a food menu, and live music. They had an amazing violinist there last night that was just an incredible entertainer. Lot of TV's there too to catch a game that's not the Cubs. Music can get loud here so having conversation can get a little tough, but you're not in Wrigleyville to talk, you're there to drink! Bottoms up! read more

We went here after a Cubs game and loved that they had a live band (and no cover charge!). We were able to find a table and settle in with some drinks from the bar and enjoy the music. Only giving this review 4 stars as there were 0 servers around and no chance for us to order any food. We visited for a good amount of time before leaving since we couldn't track down a server or a menu to order from despite the table behind us having some half eaten food. Was very disappointed as we enjoyed the vibe and the music, certainly wanted to give them more of our money but they didn't seem to want to. Bartenders were excellent however, big plus there. Typical crappy top 40 and wanna be hip hop blasting so loud you cant think. The bartenders need a lesson from Bar Rescue. They have absolutely no clue how to mix a cocktail. Beer is warm, beer lines need cleaning, ice dispenser has black mold. Food. Typical SYSCO bar food. Fried and microwaved. I give this place 2 years and they will change the name. Bottom line. The pizza is really good! This used to be the spot of Falcos and Nicks. I love the pepperoni pizza the best here! They have live bands sometimes which I like! On 6/8, around 11:30 PM my friend and I came for salsa relief night. Salsa night was very fun, the band was great, and the bartenders upstairs made delicious drinks. However, the bouncer at the door gave my 22 year old friend unnecessary trouble about her ID which was very off putting. We decided to let it slide and so we went out again for salsa night on 6/15 and this time the bouncer would not let my friend in despite her being 22. My friends is a bartender downtown and was willing to call her manager and provide other documents to prove her identity/age but he refused. The bouncer proceeded to take her driver's license and she complained because of course ... how would she be able to drive/ what if she was to be pulled over? After receiving rude treatment and hostility, we went to other bars in Wrigley and gave our business elsewhere. I suggest that you follow our lead and take your business elsewhere because the bouncers are rude and wouldn't be able to tell a fake id from a real one! read more
