    Whiskey marshmallow s'mores

If you're looking for a chill spot to enjoy some drinks look no further. Honestly what puts this bar over the top is the staff and John the manager. I haven't met nicer people in Chicago than at this bar. We had a large group on the patio for a party and John and the staff came through clutch with anything and everything we needed. Turned out to be the best day ever thanks to great friends and this amazing bar. John had a killer band playing on the patio they were fantastic played straight for two hours the crowd couldn't get enough of these guys. Plus Westland distillery was there with whiskey tastings and a S'mores station that had whiskey marshmallows. Incredible! Later they fired up the taco station and it was on from there! These tacos were insane we couldn't stop smashing them finally had to just tab out and leave or I don't think we would have stopped eating. Do yourself a favor and stop in nicest people you'll find plus John host many events on the patio. There's a cigar event coming up within the next month. Check it out!

    Live music on the patio

Came here for live music on a Friday night at the end of June, had an awesome time. Bartenders were great and the music was banging, even with a spot of rain. Fantastic outdoor patio. I will be back.

I'm in Lincoln Park quite often and didn't know this bar existed until I hung out with some friends that went to high school in the area. It's almost like some kind of alternate universe because go a couple of blocks in any direction and there's a high level of development and New businesses. My friends got some kind of hot cocktail. I stuck with a draft beer and a beer can. They let us have food delivered. There were other customers but it wasn't crowded. Bartender was attentive. I don't know if I'd classify this as a dive bar but if you're searching for a bar without lot of pretense check this place out. Was digging the art as well.

Weeds offers a good covid patio with enough room to spread out early on a Friday. They beer lost is pretty good, and they serve food now too. The music is playing in the background, and the Sox game was on for the Beating they bestowed on the Cubs the day I went. In this new world, I'm glad there is a lowkey patio to pop into as you wait to get into the Apple store, or walk around.

In the 90's this was the spot for us young lawyers to have top 5 burger and beers to unwind after court. My return 30 years later and burgers still tops for a true beef monster, not some wimpy Small Cheval garbage but a man's burger, lol. The ONLY beef I have is no more peanuts. We'd hang for hours eating peanuts, shells on the floor. I have to be this old Gen X guy and also say they have TOO many beers now. There was a great simple charm to have the darks and lights they had and now that the microbrew boom is over and people are drinking less - this old dawg attorney wants you to bring back peanuts and pair down that beer list to 10. Otherwise such a gem and grateful the owner resisted and fought selling and modernizing!!

I was just looking for a place to grab a quick pint - did not expect to be pulled into a Chicago staple, that prides itself on its beer selection and a crowd that's packed into this place like sardines. We were lucky to quickly get a table and ordered some bar food. It was about as good as bar food gets. Mostly I just liked the vibe of the place - and the energy of hundred of people talking at the same time over beers. The McCormick area - where we had the conference, was so quiet compared to this. Am glad I made the hike. The service is quick and there is enough variety of beer to satisfy the most discerning. I could see myself at this spot regularly if I ever lived or worked in downtown Chicago

The service was genuinely friendly, and the ambiance gives off such a welcoming, cozy vibe. There's even a fireplace you can sit by during cold Chicago winters, which is a really nice touch. You can crack jokes and they'll play right along with you, which makes the whole experience feel relaxed and fun. I ordered the pulled pork skillet and it did not miss. They make your eggs however you want (within reason), and everything came out perfectly. While not the cheapest in town, the value is absolutely there given the quality of the beers and food -- prices feel totally reasonable for River North. Great ambience for some bar food and an evening of trying unique beers. They have a great hosting space upstairs too for grad parties, work events, etc. Main reason for my lower rating was our waitress was insanely slow for a light Thursday crowd. Waited 20 minutes before seeing anyone after being sat, waited 30 minutes for the check, waited another 20 minutes for her to run the check so we could leave. I've never experience service quite that bad... would recommend sitting at the bar if you have a small party.

We were greeted at the door by the bartender and told we could sit anywhere besides the booths. We found a table in the bar area and were greeted by Santiago, our fantastic waiter. He was so attentive but gave us space to enjoy our meal. We tried both their seasonal Kolsch and Pilsner and they were so drinkable and went down smooth with our meal. We got the Reuben egg rolls to start and my husband, who is a huge fan of Reuben's said this may be his favorite rendition! He ordered the proclaimed "best burger in Chicago" and agreed it was absolutely delicious. He liked that the bacon was ground into the beef patty for an evenly distributed smoky flavor. I had the falafel wrap which was so good with crisp, cold salad with tzatziki and warm falafel all rolled into a wrap for a delicious, handheld meal. Inside, you can see their beer vats as part of the decor as well as many pieces of artwork featuring their fuzzy Giant. It's a fun atmosphere and I would recommend it! It feels upscale but still comfortable. Service was attentive and paced well, especially considering it was Restaurant Week and fairly busy. The Restaurant Week menu offered a great variety. We started with the crispy arancini, which were perfectly golden on the outside and creamy inside with a rich glaze that added a nice depth of flavor. The wild mushroom risotto had great earthy flavor and was very rich, definitely a heavier dish but satisfying if you are in the mood for something indulgent. The gnocchi were soft and pillowy with fresh basil and roasted tomatoes that brightened the dish nicely. For entrées, the filet mignon was cooked beautifully, tender and medium rare with a flavorful sauce that complemented it well. The chicken parmesan had a solid crisp and good seasoning, though it leaned more classic than standout. Portions overall felt fair for the prix fixe price. Dessert was a sweet finish. The tiramisu was light, creamy, and not overly heavy, which we appreciated. Overall, 4 stars. Great ambiance and solid execution across the board. While nothing completely blew us away, it was a well done Restaurant Week experience and I would definitely come back to try more from their regular menu.
