    Best cider ever!

Cool place to watch a game. Great prices! All the bartenders are cool and the service is always great. Dog friendly! Different events happening every night so there's always something to do.

This bar is somewhere you want to go! Rian had an intrepid attitude no matter what drink idea I came up with (he is a connoisseur). The atmosphere of this bar is welcoming and the service is excellent.

This is a really big pub in a busy area in the city, right off the Fullerton redline stop. The bar itself is nice, and has the feel of an old fashioned pub. The drinks are good. Good job to our bartender who was super pleasant and realized she made a mistake with our drink and fixed it right away. Great customer service. They don't have food, but they have a kiosk you can order food from - similar to doing grubhub or Uber eats - but it's limited to one restaurant. The food arrived fast and hot. The food was ehhhhh and it was super greasy. My chicken strips were hard to eat. Not the bar's fault and I definitely appreciate the innovation and trying to give options to the customers. The bar is definitely a hang out and was a little loud - they have lots of televisions to watch sports, a pool table, and music. I would definitely go back again.

Our doggy is very happy they are dog friendly!

The Arrogant Frog says they are dog friendly, and man, do they mean it! My friend and I were looking for a good spot halfway between our homes that was both dog friendly and had booze. This was the closest thing we could find, and we thought we'd take a chance! Upon arriving, I went inside to check with the bartender that they are indeed dog friendly as some bars say they are but really are not (went to a bar in Edgewater like this). The bartender was super friendly and welcoming ,(I should have caught her name to brag on her; she's the one with curly brown hair and glasses) and told us could bring in our pups. Not only can you bring in your pups, but you can use a hashtag and tag them on Instagram and get a free "dog shot" (spoiler: it's a shot for humans). This alone deserves 5 stars in my eyes. The service was great, the prices are reasonable, and they have a nice deal worked out with Knife and Tine (with reasonable prices) to deliver food. We got the guac and chips and the corn fritters. The chips served with the guac got a little soggy. They were still delicious. If you're pretty picky, I'd recommend eating food elsewhere before. I would not mind trying more of the Knife and Tine food though. It all sounded pretty tasty. Bonus: they had a sour beer. I find this is becoming more common to find, but I always want to give props to bars that have them. We'll definitely be coming back. If anyone else wants to do a doggo meet up here, feel free to message me.

This place is an awesome place to get the night started! Great specials, like 20 local brews on Tap, free pool table in the back and the whole place has a really cool rustic theme. Right at the edge of Lincoln park so I usually like to start here and work my way through. On Fri I grab an absolute drink, fire ball (both on special on FRI) and a Moscow Mule! They must be the only place serving Moscow Mules in a copper mug! I shoot a little bit of pool and meet people every time I go. The place just has a super friendly vibe to it. And sometimes they have live music or a DJ. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

The bartenders are always very friendly and check in often which is always appreciated. You're always immediately given little pretzels to snack on which I love as a unique touch. This time we both chose a more standard cocktail, but they also always have very unique and delicious seasonal cocktails which are always amazing! I would definitely recommend Elixir to anyone looking for a spot to grab a quick and delicious cocktail!

It was the right move because it had the kind of chill vibe we were seeking after a long flight from SFO. Fortunately there were two seats at the bar with our names on them. Figuratively speaking. They had quite a signature cocktail list on hand, and we felt it was our obligation to try as many as we could. At least that was what we said to ourselves as the evening wore on. Each cocktail was $14. We started with a couple of familiar libations. Jamie ordered the Mint Julep, a delightfully Deep South mix of bourbon, simple syrup, and fresh mint (photo: https://yelp.to/u-td8LdPLj). I went further south with the Pineapple Margarita which was emboldened by a tropically potent mix of pineapple infused tequila, lime juice, and agave (photo: https://yelp.to/V-Sf6Q_2qK). We got a bit bolder with our second round and found mixed results. Jamie had the Not Your Mom's Daiquiri which amped up the margarita by blending pineapple-infused tequila with Bacardi 8-year rum. Along with fresh lime and simple syrup, this one definitely had more of a kick (photo: https://yelp.to/1ZijDf6wMV). However, my order, the Pontiac Pony, was a spicy miss for me. It was a rather oddball mix of apple-cinnamon infused vodka, pear liqueur, fresh squeezed lemon juice, and ginger beer (photo: https://yelp.to/5dQoFdzG98). There was just a harshness that didn't sit well on my tongue. Oh well, the mellow vibe was cool. The table was beautifully set with red cloth napkins and small lanterns adding to the ambiance of the place. He welcomed adding our own decorations- paper placemats and a balloon bouquet. The area was set apart from the main dining area which made the experience more intimate. The food was served family style on platters, attractively presented and absolutely delicious! The individual printed menus at each setting described the wine choices, the first course Meze, the Main course choices , and 2 Desserts. Each course was tastier than the next! We chose: 1st course 2 platters of Mixed Meze, homemade bread, 2 Mushroom Tava, and 2 Calamari. 2nd course: 3 platters of "Mixed Plate for two" had Chicken kebab, Beef delight, Lamb Delight, Lamb Chops, Haydara, Ezme, Fries, and Rice. 2 Orange Salmon platters and Green Olive Salad. 3rd course: Baklava and Coconut Cake. The portions were more than enough for the 10 guests In order to try almost every food choice. Our server, Maine, timed each course very well. He also cleared European-style waiting until everyone was done eating. A pleasurable change as we weren't rushed! The water glasses and wine glasses were consistently filled. Though we had dined at Avaspi for both Happy Hour and Dinner, all 8 guests expressed how enjoyable the cuisine, wine selection, service and ambiance was throughout the evending. The restaurant itself is cozy and trendy and the service was excellent despite our large group. I had the half dozen oysters and the beef tare tare to start. Both were amazing, but the real star of the dinner was the steak. You guys, the steak was cooked perfectly and also was packed with flavor. It came with a smear of this unctuous, umami sauce and hints of garlic. If I could, I would eat this everyday. Our server was really attentive. Her pacing was perfect and she was very personable. Again, she did an amazing job considering the size of our party and how often we were ordering cocktails. The location was also great! At first I was a bit weary about how far away from Boystown it was, but it was a nice 10 minute walk back. It gave us time to digest our food. Overall, an amazing experience. Will definitely go there every time in Chicago.
