DOG FRIENDLY. You're welcome. Well this one is a frequent visit purely based on location, drink prices, and the fact that they are indeed doggo friendly. What's there not to love? Bring the pup, have a beer, and hang out. They usually have some sort of promotion going on so just ask the bartender what specials they got. On the last visit, select pitchers were $10 before 10pm. Not a bad deal as it seemed to be equivalent to 4 pints. Nice. Apparently if you post a pic or story on social media (IG) with your pupper and tag them it qualifies you for a free shot as we've taken advantage of in the past as well. This is a really big pub in a busy area in the city, right off the Fullerton redline stop. The bar itself is nice, and has the feel of an old fashioned pub. The drinks are good. Good job to our bartender who was super pleasant and realized she made a mistake with our drink and fixed it right away. Great customer service. They don't have food, but they have a kiosk you can order food from - similar to doing grubhub or Uber eats - but it's limited to one restaurant. The food arrived fast and hot. The food was ehhhhh and it was super greasy. My chicken strips were hard to eat. Not the bar's fault and I definitely appreciate the innovation and trying to give options to the customers. The bar is definitely a hang out and was a little loud - they have lots of televisions to watch sports, a pool table, and music. I would definitely go back again. read more

The Arrogant Frog says they are dog friendly, and man, do they mean it! My friend and I were looking for a good spot halfway between our homes that was both dog friendly and had booze. This was the closest thing we could find, and we thought we'd take a chance! Upon arriving, I went inside to check with the bartender that they are indeed dog friendly as some bars say they are but really are not (went to a bar in Edgewater like this). The bartender was super friendly and welcoming ,(I should have caught her name to brag on her; she's the one with curly brown hair and glasses) and told us could bring in our pups. Not only can you bring in your pups, but you can use a hashtag and tag them on Instagram and get a free "dog shot" (spoiler: it's a shot for humans). This alone deserves 5 stars in my eyes. The service was great, the prices are reasonable, and they have a nice deal worked out with Knife and Tine (with reasonable prices) to deliver food. We got the guac and chips and the corn fritters. The chips served with the guac got a little soggy. They were still delicious. If you're pretty picky, I'd recommend eating food elsewhere before. I would not mind trying more of the Knife and Tine food though. It all sounded pretty tasty. Bonus: they had a sour beer. I find this is becoming more common to find, but I always want to give props to bars that have them. We'll definitely be coming back. I am very disappointed by the lack of arrogant frogs. I was hopping... I mean hoping... for a Looney Toons style frog with a top hat and a monocle that would silently judge me with it's large round eyes and then speak ill of me to his menagerie of highfalutin friends. That didn't happen here. So, if that's what you're looking for, then go to The Uptight Toad at 21 Jumper Street. Other than that, the prices and service are great. Bartenders and bartendress are friendly and know how to pour proper drinks. Highly recommended, again provided a mocking, green, amphibian is NOT what you're looking for. read more

We love The Arrogant Frog! We came in today for brunch and really enjoyed ourselves. The Bloody Mary bar was great but the thing we appreciated the most is how awesome they were to our new puppy. There were treats, a water bowl and lots of attention. We loved that we could bring him inside. Our bartender was so nice and friendly. We really liked the atmosphere here. The only thing I will say is they don't have the best system with the food from Knife and Tine. We were the only ones in the restaurant and waited over an hour for a burger and quesadilla. The manager apologized but next time we will order food from elsewhere as the wait was way too long. read more

Ryan, one of the owners of Knife & Tine told us to come on down here after we ate to have a drink and we had a great time. The pool table is free to use, which is RARE and AMAZING in this day and age. They even have playing cards, beer pong and other games you can just play while you hang out. So my friends and I sipped on some beers, took some shots, played pool and played spades while watching some of the March Madness games. We spent like 5 hours here. Ok, check this out...I've been searching for a Cherry Gin Rickey for about 3 years. I had it at a restaurant in Evanston before a show at Space and it blew my mind. But by the time I'd re-visited the restaurant that served it, they'd taken it off the menu! I was crushed. Fast forward 3 years. I check out The Arrogant Frog. Mostly cuz I liked the name. Marco is bartending. And brave enough to accept my challenge. We experiment. Cherry juice bitters gin lime and ... what's missing? Crank that lime juice bwoi! C'est parfait. What a weird little place!! We stepped in on a Friday evening at about 9:30PM and it was deserted. Although it started to warm up after a while. They only have drinks and they get all food delivered from a place next door in to-go boxes. For some reason, they decided to keep the door open. With the typical Chicago chill outside, and the way the floor is designed, you will catch the drift no matter where you sit. We closed the door but the server went up and opened again. And we had to sit there with our jackets on, looking like an Eskimo!! The server was very sloppily dressed and looked like she is in her PJs. She was eating pizza while serving drinks. And she was the only one running the entire place! The tables were smelly and dirty with sticky glass rings all over the place. The arrogant frog.. more like the sloppy frog! read more

It is kind of in a random space, but there is street parking. $10 bottomless mimosas, and $5 long islands - can't beat that ! Lots of hot top table seating, accommodates big and small groups. I'm far too old to be hanging around a college bar! And that's probably the main reason for the reduced star - if you aren't like 21-24, you'll feel a thousand. However, if you are young, live it up, super star! This place has a nice draft beer selection. It has specials each night. On Saturdays (other nights too, I suspect, but don't know) they have live music. I went on Saturday night. And it had a perfect crowd. Busy enough to feel out with a crowd, but not so busy that you can't move. My favorite kind of busy. The cover band was good. The beer was cold. And the company was nice. This place is an awesome place to get the night started! Great specials, like 20 local brews on Tap, free pool table in the back and the whole place has a really cool rustic theme. Right at the edge of Lincoln park so I usually like to start here and work my way through. On Fri I grab an absolute drink, fire ball (both on special on FRI) and a Moscow Mule! They must be the only place serving Moscow Mules in a copper mug! I shoot a little bit of pool and meet people every time I go. The place just has a super friendly vibe to it. And sometimes they have live music or a DJ. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! read more

What a wonderful addition of bars to Fullerton! I came in on a Friday night and the atmosphere was wonderfully refreshing and upbeat. The DJ was playing fun music and they had a variety of beer flights available to choose from. I also enjoyed their craft beer list that included Vander Mill and Two Brothers on the menu. And don't get me started on the wonderfully kind and open bartender who served us named Narsi!! What really makes a great experience for me is when the servers, owners, bartenders, etc. go above and beyond to exceed your expectations and help you find the exact drinks you may be looking for at the time. The atmosphere here is fantastic! We were visiting Chicago for the Big10 10K race weekend and stumbled upon this bar, sooo happy we did, we went here twice while in town. They have all Midwest brewed beers on tap, bourbon on tap, free pool table, and a very cool retro old timey feel. There are copper countertops and spectacular hand designed chandeliers. While we were there the crowd was pretty slim and laid back but both times we were in and out by 7pm to meet up with the rest of our group. First time in the bartender was great, informative and carried fun conversation. The second time we were in the man behind the bar was fantastic, very personable, attentive, and carried on conversation with us like we were old friends. After about 15 minutes I realized that we were talking to the owner...a breath of fresh air, a bar owner who is actually down to earth and all about being interested in his patrons and not himself! There's a reason all of the photos on Yelp show this place as completely empty! Stopped in for a drink on a Thursday at 5pm and there were 2 other guests, 1 bartender, and tumbleweed. They were out of half of the liquors they list on their chalkboards and the liquor "draft" system wasn't functional. After unsuccessfully ordering 3 different bourbons they had listed I finally had to resort to "what bourbon do you have?" Maybe this place picks up late at night for the cheap beer/drinks college crowd, but everyone else should steer clear. read more

This bar actually beat my expectations. I came here last Saturday night for a couple drinks and really enjoyed it. It wasn't super packed; this would be the kind of place to take someone for an intimate drink or if you have a friend in town that you want to catch up with and actually have a conversation. (the 2nd was my case). Anyways, we tried the Moscow Mule and it rocked, the perfect amount of ginger. The prices here really aren't too bad for what you get, and the bartenders were great. They also had a movie playing instead of the typical Sportscenter like most places have. So just something that sets this place apart from the crowd. It's not much on the outside, but definitely liked my experience here with the decor inside, the quality of drinks & service, and frankly it not being insanely loud & busy like most places on a Saturday night. I really enjoyed the ambiance, especially with the front windows open :) they had a ton of beers on tap and the bar tender was great with letting us sample to determine which beer we wanted to order. They don't appear to serve food, so if that's what you're looking for, probably not your place! We only stayed for an hour or so, but I would definitely go back! read more

I love going to chill bars that allow dogs since there's nothing better than having a beer with a furry friend by your side. The atmosphere is dark and divey, with great music since they have a jazz band that plays there often. They have a good beer list written on huge chalkboards behind the bar. If I lived closer this would definitely be a regular haunt. read more
