After paying an extra $30 for a new filter (the one Speed Lube put on was faulty) and 4 more quarts of oil, I talked to Speed Lube when I returned to town. They rudely told me that because I took my car to another place my warranty was void, and were unwilling to work with me, and offered nothing for my time and trouble. Rather than addressing my concerns, they acted like I was the one who had done something wrong. Do not take your car here unless you want spotty workmanship and terrible customer service.

I had wasted a long time in line at another place that will go un-named (wallyworld) and finally left to try somewhere new. This place was pro from the start, but then halfway into the procedure they came to me and said that a small vacuum hose had broken when they were accessing the air cleaner. A new part was on the way and it would be on them, but take a few more minutes. Then another hose and the nipple on the air cleaner broke. It was all old and dry rotted. They repaired it all no charge tho I offered to pay for the extra parts. They could have easily changed the oil, closed the hood and sent me down the road to be surprised later. But no, they did the right thing and earned a new customer. It's easy to complain when a biz does wrong, but I'd like to compliment them for a job well done, here and on Yelp.

Honest mechanics. The wife was on a long cross-country trip, and started hearing a noise at…read morehighway speeds that sounded like either tires or a bearing. Big O in Rolla was the closest spot that said they could take a gander. A mechanic drove the Highlander, and put it up on a lift for some diagnostics. He confirmed that the bearings were fine, and diagnosed the tires, with some feathering. We had had the struts replaced the week prior to the trip - diagnosed because of the tire wear (no noise). So the explanation made sense, though we don't know yet why the noise only started when it did. The main point: Big O gave us a good diagnosis, an honest opinion, and peace of mind for the rest of the big trip. They didn't charge for the work, and didn't try to force an unneeded repair. If I ever need auto repair or new tires near that part of Missouri, I would definitely talk with Big O. We appreciate it.

When I called to ask why the extra charge there were insistent that they did explained it to me. But that was not true. While Big O Tires officially states that their Pro-Tec+ protection plan is automatically included at no extra charge on Big O branded tires, individual franchise locations have faced serious scrutiny and legal action for adding paid packages to third-party tires (like Michelin or Continental) without disclosure.

After driving for only 2 days (200 miles), my oil pressure light came on. When I checked the dipstick, there was no oil at all in the engine. I had to get the car towed back to Walmart, and they admitted the oil filter had been installed incorrectly. They refunded my Uber ride to Walmart since i couldn't drive my car, the oil change, and the replacement filter I had to buy because they didn't have one in stock. I thought the issue was resolved, but a few hundred miles later I noticed a large puddle of oil under my car and, again, no oil on the dipstick. I took the car to Valvoline, where they told me the oil filter had once again been installed incorrectly. My skid plate was soaked with oil from the leak. Had I not caught it, this could have caused serious engine damage. I have documentation of both incidents. I'm sharing this so others know to be very cautious about getting an oil change at this location. Two separate oil filter installation errors in such a short time is unacceptable, and it could have destroyed my engine

Walmart auto care/tire center went way beyond expectation's. A group of boys (including my son) was…read morecoming home for the weekend from college. About an hour and a half into their 6 hour drive, the vehicle they were driving in got a flat. They put the small spare on and looked around the town they got to for a tire. Best anyone could do was to get one in next day. They made some more calls and Walmart in Rolla had a tire that would fit. By the time they made it there it was well beyond the tire center closing time (by a couple hours). They could sell the tire but not install. After speaking with the boys, the staff member said he would go ahead and put it on for them so they could continue their trip home. I don't have the associates name, but thank you! That is exceedingly above and beyond the expectations of that individuals job responsibilities. The boys did make it home that night thanks to one persons selfless actions. Thank You!
