We were recommended this place by our driver of the shuttle back from Rialto Beach after backpacking and I'm so glad we went. It was just after the Lavender Festival and they still had some lavender flavored ice cream. I got an affogato with lavender white chocolate raspberry ice cream. Just passing through on our way to Hurricane Ridge... Probably the best cup of coffee I've had in my 6 years living in WA!!! The specialty cream cheese made me feel like a kid in a candy store who is only able to pick one of too many delicious options. I decided on the Lox and Caper cream cheese. We visited the coffee house on a Sunday morning and it was PACKED. It has a very lodgy-bohemian feel to it. The coffee was good and the servers amazing! The really know how to make customers welcome and go the extra mile to make you feel like so. I had the normal drip coffee and even that was a really nice blend of coffee that felt like it had a nice balance of woods a nuts in it. We also got an almond croissant, but unfortunately that was stale and a bit overpriced. This place also serves ice cream, if you visit during a hot summer day, make sure to try those out or get a spoonful to sweeten your coffee. My girlfriend and I are visiting Sequim over the weekend and stumbled upon this fantastic coffee shop. We ordered the lavender chai tea (soy) and it was amazing. The staff were friendly and what really sucks rated this coffee shop from the rest, was they had what I will call a 'giving tree'. People could donate money and gift it to a specific person (s), such as a single mother or to someone who is retired, and so on. It was fun to give because the creativity is all yours. read more

Great product! Great Customer service! Custom orders are no problem here. The product is right-priced. Easy access on and off the freeway. And they're just a little bit more on the ball than their competitor Starbucks down the street. Their hours are a little on the short side for weekends. Maybe they should study Starbucks and do a traffic survey. They might find it remunerative and win some die-hard Starbucks customers. I go here in the morning for mochas and wifi - they have both here. They don't seem to be super at keeping staff - so the coffee is variable but the old people in Sequim seem to enjoy it. The seating is good for two people in many places with two couches in the back if you are with a larger group. I'm not sure about the connection with the Christian bookstore next door that shares and open door with Hurricane Coffee - but no one has ever openly preached to me so that's fine. read more

This seems to be a popular place, but my visit today left me with a sour taste. I ordered a short dark drip for my husband, and a double tall nonfat latte for myself. The cashier poured the drip and handed it to my husband. Then she marked my order on the cup for me, but I noticed that it appeared to be a small (8 oz.) cup, rather than the large (12 oz,) that I had ordered. No big deal. She marked a 12 oz. cup for me, and placed it on the divider for the barista. Inexplicably, by the time the drink has been poured, it was once again in a small 8 oz. cup. I informed the barista that I had ordered a large, and she started to argue with me, saying that she had heard me place the order. I've been ordering double tall nonfat lattes for decades, always using those words. If I ever get Alzheimer's, certainly one of the last coherent phrases left in my brain will be, "double tall nonfat latte". She re-poured the drink -- thank you -- but then informed me that next time it would be 65 cents more. Price was not the issue. Taking the order correctly and delivering it correctly without added snark _became_ the issue. Everyone has a bad day once in awhile. From the other reviews, I can only suspect that this was one of those rare times. Next time through town, we'll probably drop by again. But still, this visit: one star. read more

Hurricane is the best coffee shop in Sequm... BUT not the best coffee... because of the high traffic volume they see here, things can slip through the cracks sometimes. Order 2 mochas and 2 pastries to go. Was on my way to Seattle. Total was $25 tip included. After getting on the road i inspected coffees and the cups were half full. I called and explained the coffees to the woman whom answered. I was asked if I wanted a refund. I wasn't looking for a refund and said no. She said they would like the opportunity to make it right and I agreed to come back in. When I returned since I didn't get the name of the woman i spoke with they wouldn't honor what was said on the phone.
