Stopped here on the way to a hike. Ordered a cappuccino. It was more of a latte. Not horrible flavor, but not what i ordered. Barista was friendly.

    loved the lavender latte!

I got lost driving down the highway looking for the Sequim Lavender festival (July 2015). I desperately wanted to make a U-turn but there was no way for me to turn around without ending up at Ohana Coffee (a small little shack), which was fine with me as the girl inside was very friendly and the Lavender Latte was the first treat I had in Washington made with Sequim's renowned lavender flower. I would have thought it would taste funny but it was absolutely fabulous. I asked the girl about the origin of Ohana, which means "family" in Hawaiian; come to find out the owner is a big fan of Hawaii, so I couldn't have felt more at home, even if I was totally lost! I eventually found the Lavender festival thanks to the girl behind the counter; sometimes the side trips are the best ones!

The cafe has a relaxed, welcoming vibe that fits perfectly with the laid-back feel of Sequim. Definitely a nice little local spot to grab breakfast or coffee if you're in the area. I'd happily stop by again next time we pass through the area and try more from the menu!

They roast their own coffee and serve delicious breakfast and lunch, with beer and wine available later in the day. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with about a dozen tables inside plus covered outdoor seating. The staff couldn't have been friendlier--I had the pleasure of meeting Tara and one of her coworkers, and they made us feel right at home. The coffee was outstanding, and they offer a great selection of freshly roasted beans, from light to dark roasts. The pastry case looked amazing, and they also feature daily specials. I ordered the breakfast burrito, and I'll definitely be coming back for it--it was excellent! My wife had the spinach frittata with cheese and bacon, and she loved it. We only wish we had a place like this closer to home in Seattle. There are plenty of great coffee shops there, but this café has a special hometown feel that makes you want to come back. If you're in the Sequim area, don't miss it!

An excellent pit stop when we're running an errand in Sequim or heading out for a weekend getaway. Vegans should feel right at home, while the rest of us realize what we've been missing. =)

Perhaps more importantly, the pies. OMG the pies. Home made, perfect balance between fruit and sugar, and on the Marion berry pie, a perfect crumble crust. I come for the chili and pie. Both are delicious. I add on sour cream and cheese with Fritos to my chili and get a bowl. It's enough to fill me up for two meals. But for most a bowl is nice and hearty to fill you up. A cup will want you craving for more. The Marion berry pie is absolutely delicious. A bit on the pricy side but that's just the economy inflating everything. I would say it's worth it. The Berrys are nice and tart and the crust and crumb are buttery goodness. I always eat this pie while I'm driving and regret not getting two slices. I got the Bedford ginger beer and it was pretty tasty. Overall, if I'm ever in the area and even if I'm 1.5 hours away I come here. Get yourself some pie and chili.
