Stopped here on the way to a hike. Ordered a cappuccino. It was more of a latte. Not horrible flavor, but not what i ordered. Barista was friendly.

    loved the lavender latte!

I got lost driving down the highway looking for the Sequim Lavender festival (July 2015). I desperately wanted to make a U-turn but there was no way for me to turn around without ending up at Ohana Coffee (a small little shack), which was fine with me as the girl inside was very friendly and the Lavender Latte was the first treat I had in Washington made with Sequim's renowned lavender flower. I would have thought it would taste funny but it was absolutely fabulous. I asked the girl about the origin of Ohana, which means "family" in Hawaiian; come to find out the owner is a big fan of Hawaii, so I couldn't have felt more at home, even if I was totally lost! I eventually found the Lavender festival thanks to the girl behind the counter; sometimes the side trips are the best ones!

The interior is reminiscent of such establishments in the 70's the exuded comfort and treated everyone as family. The fare is varied and outstanding. New Day is the only restaurant we ate at twice while there for a long weekend. The skillet breakfast that I had the first day was amazing. The second day I had the frittata with smoked salmon that like the skillet is served with roasted root vegetables. This was exquisite. Of course the coffee which was generously refilled by the wonderfully delightful staff is brewed excellently and is such that it invites you to relax and linger, which of course not only is totally ok with the staff but encouraged.

New Day, kind of catchy to me. Place is kinda small, but the setting is comfortable with friendly service. We had a window set. Love the outdoor. I ordered a meal similar to Egg Benedict (forgot the name), it's really good. Also a classic breakfast for my friend. Can't go wrong with breakfast, can it? It's really good. Love their potato slices. Would definitely come back and have some of their lunch meals if I am coming passing by again.

I always encouraged people to patronize any of the three locations. I bragged on the quality, the quantity, and the deliciousness. After my experience yesterday never again! I have noticed that for the last couple of years the portions have gotten smaller and the prices have gone up. Granted, prices have gone up on everything, not just at this restaurant. So that part is understandable. I'm not mad about that. What I'm extremely frustrated about, i'm actually angry, is that they served me a salad with barely any meat on it. I got the ruben salad last night through the drive up. When she handed me the bag out the window, it literally felt like a feather. When I got home, it was basically all lettuce, a tiny bit of saurkraut, some croutons, my garlic deal dressing, and a very a thin slice of the corned beef or whatever the meat was supposed to be. Literally, they give me a salad with a piece of meat smaller than the length and width of my pinky finger. That bowl of lettuce cost me sixteen dollars plus my tip. Yeah I'm angry about it. It is very rare for me to get angry. Getting home in Kingston, expecting to have an awesome dinner, and having this after I paid that much. Infuriating. I will give them credit for having the nicest crew. They have awesome customer service at the drive up, thus the 2 stars this time. The two stars are for the employees, otherwise this particular experience would be a negative or zero star.

Their salads are freaking GIANORMOUS. Worth every penny. Get them as a wrap add some protein and have 2 meals for the price of one. Just don't tell them if you want to split a salad. For some weird reason they charge extra for that. But other than that one minor thing. If you want a healthy lunch or dinner this is the place.
