Well guess I popped that cherry today cause my coffee was $9.48 for a 16oz. I MEAN THAT IS UNREAL. It tasted decent but I get the exact same drink at Dutch Bros but a LARGER SIZE for $5.50. My boyfriends drink was a more reasonable price but tasted like genuine sink water with a dash of expired cream. I honestly don't know what to say except please save your hard earned money and scoop up a mug of your dish water at home instead. read more

First, my order total for a 24 oz spritzer and a tall black coffee was $14.32, how? The menu said the energy drink was 7.95, but on my receipt it says it was 10.20. Oh well. I was recommended to go here and so I am giving it a try!! The coffee was OK-it literally tasted like McDonald's coffee, and the spritzer was awful. It was called dark and stormy, and it was soooooo overpowering with syrup that I couldn't drink it. Even my partner and kids said it was gross! I woke and headed to this place for a coffee. I took a longer route along the coast, riding through a light drizzle and fog. By the time I arrived I was looking forward to a great coffee and something to eat. Red Dog Coffee did not disappoint. I pulled in and walked up to the COVID-inspired outdoor ordering window. I was greater by two friendly people, an array of fresh baked goods and the aroma of fresh coffee. It was easy to settle in here. I had a great coffee and an almond croissant, which I enjoyed on the patio. Great place. I will come back again, and maybe buy one of the cool Red Dog stickers next time. read more

We stopped by Red Dog for coffee during a recent trip to Olympic National Park. The drive thru was fairly quick and the staff was friendly. I ordered a hot flavored latte and my husband had a blended drink. While we were waiting for our drinks, I noticed a few bees/yellow jackets (not sure which) buzzing around the ordering window with a particular interest in the sweets on display (all safely wrapped up). I did notice them on the rim of a hot drink cup and tried to keep an eye on their location but wasn't able to as the drink was made (turned out to be my drink). I was worried about their still being a bee/yellow jacket in the cup so I actually took off the lid before drinking it to make sure nothing was floating in it. At the moment I felt like I was being quite paranoid - no one would knowingly serve someone a drink with a sizable stinging bug in it and I've gone to drive thru coffee windows dozens of times during all times of the year with no incidents. So I drank my latte (it was fine, albeit a bit sweet) with not much more thought. I glanced through the opening in the plastic lid on occasion but that was more to see how much was left than actively looking for anything unusual. When I neared the bottom, I left the last bit for my husband to try. He took the final sip and immediately spit it back out on top of the lid because there was something in it. It had wings. And a stinger. And looked very angry (and dead, thank goodness). We pulled over in the nearest parking lot, dumped the body back in the cup, and disposed of it and the remainder of his blended drink in the nearest trash can. We both felt a bit queasy the rest of the day (I drank a dead bee/yellow jacket's bath water and he had its actual dead body in his mouth!). Thankfully nothing else came of it but it was exceedingly offputting. I want to reiterate that I know this wasn't intentional and could happen anywhere. I don't know what the solution is (additional mindfulness that this can happen, checking the cup for foreign objects as the drink is made, traps to catch these types of bugs?). That being said, I won't be back if I'm in the area and may not go to another drive thru coffee stand for a bit. 1 star. read more

Okay so yall know that the PNW has a BUNCH of drive-thru coffee spots all along the highways and in cute little towns. Being a east-coaster, I always have to make at least 5 stops every hour to try out every coffee shop possible :P I don't generally leave reviews because tbh they all tend to be the same after a while BUT reddog left a mark! For beginners, they have such a wide menu with accommodations/twists on classic drinks to fit different diets/lifestyles which I loved. The ordering system was also 10x more efficient than other drive-thru places we had stopped by which cut the wait time in half. But my main reason for leaving a review was the staff, from the friendly and accommodating person who took our order to the cashier who had the best hyped up personality- everyone made this an awesome experience. Edited: First impression was good. They have a cute patio area, and the building itself was also nice. A young girl came out to take my order as there were a few cars in front of me in line. She was very nice as well. When I pulled up, I noticed they had a good deal of baked goods, from muffins, donuts, bagels, etc.. that was the good of my experience. Now the bad. I got a quad, white chocolate americano with white coffee. In Port Angeles I usually pay $4-5, I give them $7 (I try to tip well) and I'm on my way. They told me my drink was going to be around $7.50!? In my head, I thought, "This better be the best coffee I've ever drank." I gave them $10 and left. HERE IS WHERE I CHNAGED MY REVIEW What it said: Now, you see my one star, you must know the result: bland, no flavor, watery... no coffee flavor (and white coffee has a very distinct flavor), barely even a white chocolate flavor. I was drinking barely sweet warm water. I even got my own spoon to stir it with hoping somehow the flavor got stuck at the bottom..? No luck. Do not waste your money. The reality: I've realized what a dolt I am. I just got done with having Covid, but forgot that I still didn't have my smell or taste back, so everything tastes bad or no flavor hahahahaha I'm sure the coffee was fine, despite the price being outrageous. read more
