I don't mind gradual increases that reflect rising prices, but it seemed excessive. Judging by the lack of customers, I think their business will suffer. After finally making the time, I gave them a second try. Longview is a small town and places like Lil Thai House are what make it so much better. The owners are a sweet couple that make some delicious Thai food. It's all cooked fresh to order, which makes it not the place to go if you're in a pinch for time. I also recommend getting here closer to 11 if you want to get seats in the restaurant. I think there are about 10 tables available that fill up quick. My partner and I ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Green Chicken Curry and Pork Egg Rolls. Starting with the egg rolls - they were very fresh and hot. The glass noodles inside were delicious and overall they were super meaty. The pad Thai and curry were tasty. Both had great levels of spice that weren't overbearing and added to the flavor profile. Pricing was not bad for what you get. Definitely the better Thai restaurant in Longview if you can make the hours work.

The younger guy who was at the cash register with the iPod in his ear also had a big bowl of pho. I just don't underhand if you on duty why have the kid in your ear first of all then have you lunch right in front of customers? And wonder why customer's orders are always wrong. The selection is minimal and many products have pork in them which I do not eat. So I had to just go with the brisket and steak pho which I was hoping I would see fatty brisket as an option. But there was no option for it. The pho was not flavorful at all and I didn't even have the side of Sriracha that usually comes with the pho to go. When I'm back in town I will have to find another pho place to visit as this one missed the mark for me.

The walls were decorated with regular and lenticular posters for a number of different shows. We were greeted warmly and got to select our own table, which had baskets of chopsticks as well as flatware to choose from, along with a roll of paper towels. The menu featured a greater variety than I expected; in addition to nine different bowls of ramen, there was a whole page of mazemen (like ramen but without the broth), several kinds of fried rice, and other selections. I got an appetizer of pork belly bao, which turned out to be two little sandwiches generously stuffed with cabbage, sliced cucumber, mayonnaise and something like hoisin and (of course) pork belly--so good! My partner got pork gyoza and gave me one--super tasty and done exactly as requested. For entrees, he got the Tonkatsu Ramen (#3 on the menu. I tried a bite and loved the flavor; he finished every drop. I had shrimp fried rice, which turned out to be a humongous portion including more and larger shrimp than I expected. I also want to mention that our waiter brought me a fresh glass of soda before I finished the one I was drinking--much appreciated! I never had to sit thirstily waiting for a refill. Highly recommended if you like anime--or ramen--or a good experience!
