I usual do not write reviews but, this experience warrants my time and effort. We had a large oak tree leaning towards our house, along with seven other smaller trees also presenting a danger. Two days before hurricane Dorian hit the coast, I called Hunter Tree Care and several other outfits. Not only did Mr. Lilly take my call where others did not, he actually came out and gave me an estimate the same day. Speaking to Mr. Lilly it is immediately apparent that he is intelligent, educated as an arborist, and not just a man with a truck and a chainsaw. He took the time to answer my many questions, educated me on how trees grow, how they can become weakened, and what makes them fall. Mr. Lilly provided me with a tree by tree estimate with several options (chipping, hauling away all the debris, etc), and offered me a discount for doing everything at once. Having agreed a very fair price (without any markup due to the hurricane coming) Mr. Lilly agree to start the next morning (Storm Day 1). Working right up to the rain coming in Hunter Tree Care had all of the largest-most-treating trees down on the ground, and cut up the one that fell (as planned) across my drive way ensuring we could come and go as we desired. On Day 2 of Hurricane Dorian Mr. Lilly was back out again with a fresh crew and dropped all the remaining trees. Having prevented my problematic trees from posing further threat to my home Mr. Lilly and I agreed we should all batten down the hatches and get back to it after the storm had passed. True to his word he and his crew came back and cut everything up into firewood sized rounds, and he rented me his brand-new wood splitter for a sweat deal. If you have a tree that you need removed and you would prefer to work with someone that is knowledgeable, courteous, professional you will not find a better company to work with. read more

Hunter Tree Care was there right on time, and his price was very competitive! He was quick but not rushed; very efficient, but thorough. He made it look as though there was never a tree there to begin with. His co-worker was also very polite and helpful. He's got a great team. He really knows his stuff because he's a Certified Arborist so you can trust what he's telling you about the health of your trees; and if they're close to your house, you need to keep them healthy to keep your home safe. I'd say: If you need a tree guy, Hunter is your man and Hunter Tree Care is your company to hire! read more

Hunter was professional and proactive with the way he helped us clean up Post Hurricane Florence. He was able during our walk-around to spot potential problems with leaning trees and threatening overhanging branches ,then take care of those problems swiftly. I am convinced he prevented future tree damage to our property and to a neighbor's property. He quoted a reasonable fee and did not deviate from his original bid with cost-overruns. Hunter is as genuine as they come! As a botanist myself, I can attest that he thoroughly understands the anatomy of any tree, and efficiently fells them in record time. His communication was open and honest, and he removed a giant pecan that had fallen on my early 1900s historic home without causing any further damage. If I could give him 11 stars, I would. I would 100000000% recommend this company for tree removal. Hunter is extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. We had quotes around the area that would cripple us and hunter was more than accommodating giving us an amazing price. They were also fast! We had a tree that was rotted out due to termites and they got us on the schedule at record time to remove the tree from the property plus the two trees besides it. Hunter has competitive pricing (huge bush removal and stump grinding at half our other quote), is insured, and scheduled our work extremely quickly. They came out in person to scope the work and quote the same day we reached out to them and started work just a few days later. Work was thorough as well. Hunter Tree Care came out inspect an Oak that was uprooted because of all the rain. However, it was hang up at at the top and had not come down. It was undercut but would still not come down. The came back the next day, cut above the old undercut and got the Oak down with minimal damage to the other trees. Very knowledgeable and careful! read more

Hunter and team to the resuce. I had a tree fall on my house during a storm and take down a fence. In a matter of 24 hours the tree was removed and they even repaired my fence in the process. They are an amzing team to work with and are the utmost professionals. I will use Hunter again in hte future and hopefully before the next storm. read more

Hunter showed up right away, advised me of what needed to be trimmed, then his crew came and very carefully cut limbs over my house and lowered them carefully never touching the house, cleaned and removed all traces for a fair price would highly recomend them read more
