We've ordered from this Hungry Howie's numerous times but today's experience was far from the usual great result. We ordered a Meat Extravaganza (that's what we call it), but it arrived completely undercooked. The meats on the pizza were actually still cool from refrigeration. Meanwhile, our gluten free pizza was so overcooked, the crust crumbled when we picked up each slice and the toppings were fairly charred. My hope is the HH takes a look at the situation going on in the kitchen because there have been several similar reviews. read more

Ordered Deep Dish Hawaiian Pizza (Yes I know pineapple doesn't belong on pizza, but I love them) Delivered by Door Dash who did an excellent job. Pizza was so burned l could not eat it. I haven't tried Hungry Howie's and noticed they had a location near my work. I placed an order that morning with a scheduled pick up time. They have it on the app that shows when they start preparing your order so I was able to follow. They had perfect timing with starting my pizza and that it would be ready for my scheduled pick up time (if you've read my previous reviews, some places still don't have this down). When I picked up my pizza it was hot and fresh!! My interaction with their employee was brief but he was friendly and courteous. I don't have any real complaints about the pizza, I did like the sauce but my favorite was the crust. I got the buttery crust but I imagine the Parmesan one is delightful and if I order again, I will try that one! It tasted fine reheated the next day, didn't get all hard. All in all, a nice pizza at a reasonable price (lunch special was around $12). read more

I ordered a carryout and when i got home i found the pizza burnt. When I called the store the woman who answered had an attitude and didnt offer any apologies or complimentary drink or anything for their mistake. When we asked for something for us having to come back to pick up a new pizza the woman said no, because they were already willing to remake the pizza and that we only lived 10 minutes away so its not a big deal. Customer service goes along way when you make a mistake own up to it and make up for it and she did neither. I hope for the sake of your brand that you never leave someone with that attitude in charge of your establishment again. And its really not because she didn't comp anything, but because there was a clear and evident irritation towards me when having to even rectify a mistake. My family and i will take our dollars elsewhere. read more

The store was conveniently located on central ave near Heards museum. We ordered the large "worker" pizza and love the sesame flavor crust. However, there were too many ham inside which made the whole pizza really salty. We could not even finish half of the pizza and had to throw the rest away b/c of the salty flavor. It was our first time to try Hungry Howie and we are not sure if this was the way it should be. read more

We ordered a gluten free veggie pizza with extra cheese and large regular veggie pizza with extra cheese. There was hardly any veggies on the gluten free. In fact one slice only had two small slices of olive and a little Parmesan cheese on it. It was also very burnt. The large regular had very few vegetables and if what we received was double cheese, I'd hate to see a pizza without double cheese because there was not very much cheese at all. They except ebt (hot food service qualified only) so be prepared ahead of time to make certain your ebt card has that qualification. Hands down the best pizza, cheese came melting off the pizza, everything was good even cold. Frank and the lady manager was so helpful, one lady had complained about the ebt and the manager was polite and understandable. Frank gave me a water for waiting so long. I typically review high-end restaurants, but I'm making an exception here. While it remains true that I'm not abandoning my usuals such as Malnati's, Spinato's, Pomo, Bianco, etc., sometimes you just need basic pizza quickly at a reasonable price. Tired of the bad service and poor quality you get from Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, etc.? Then Hungry Howie's is the place for you. The pizza was excellent, and the Howie Bread is a must. The woman at the counter was extremely helpful and pleasant. Great value at a reasonable price, and all of my finicky kids really liked it, which is rare. Ordered pizza and wings and on the phone and when the delivery got to my house i asked for Franco for my wings (obviously) and cheese and pepper packets. The delivery person said yeah it's all there . There is NO RANCH OR PACKETS . i call to let them know i don't have ranch for the wing and the packets and they were rude and said we'll you should have asked . A facebook friend recommended it so I thought I'd take a shot. My previous go-to pizza place has gone to the dogs and I'm glad I tried Hungry Howie's because I now have a new go-to pizza place. I ordered a thin-crust, garlic & herb flavored, topped with Italian sausage, mushrooms, and extra cheese. I got an order of 10 boneless buffalo wings also and blue cheese dipping sauce. All of it was delicious. A couple of suggestions for the restaurant: 1, let the pizza cool a little bit more before you cut it. By the time I got it, the cheese and melted all back together and when I opened the box, it didn't look like it had been cut. I had to re-cut the top after I found the lines where the crust was cut. 2, the wings were not completely coated in sauce. Probably 80% coated. Finally the "Howie tracker" (the tool to track your delivery) needs a little improvement. I had to call the restaurant because the tracker imaging suggested that the food had been delivered but the text said it was "on the way." But those were little things; overall, the 5 star rating is absolutely deserved and I rarely give 5 stars. Thank you Howie's! read more

First call was told Sorry we don't have our own delivery people it will be there in 25 minutes 45 minutes later another call was on hold for 30 minutes before I hung up. Been coming here since they've opened. The guys there are so nice and friendly. It always feels welcoming. Pizza is always good, store is always clean but the staff are the ones that make this location awesome. I used to go to the one in Tempe and I've been to the one on Bethany and Thunderbird but this one is my fave. read more

First time we ordered delivery closer to closing time. Rather than say hey it's past our delivery time they went on how it would be an hour and a half. We said we would just do carry out- no issue. The woman seemed to have a hard time understanding to void that transaction to change it to carry out. The pizza was good. We decided to try them again about a week and a half later for carry out. We saw it estimated 20 minutes and gave it 30, arrive and are told that the pizza is just about to go into the oven and it would be 10 minutes... I'm not sure it's worth this lack of customer service. read more

The customer service here is wonderful! I love their pizza already but we told the cashier we had a budget of what we wanted to spend and the manager came out to help us to tweak our meal to fit that budget. Very friendly staff and the facility is super clean and new looking. read more

Wow tried to order delivery but told out of their delivery range. Google maps shows 8min walk from hotel we are staying at and only reason not walking over to pick up cause it was after 8pm and to drive over for pick up hotel charges $28 for parking so every time we leave the garage we are charged $28. hello Pizza lovers this is got to be one of the best hungry Howies that I have ever ordered pizza at I got home extremely late from work last night they were probably going to close within the 20 minutes and they still made me an amazing pizza very nice delivery girl got here super fast pizza was hot it looked amazing taste even better than it looked and when they answered the phone to take my order he was one of the nicest guy that I've ever spoken to while ordering a pizza I haven't had pizza or even hungry Howies in such a long time and every question that I had was answered very courteously respectfully I do appreciate that because I was a tired mess last night he repeated everything I re-asked which is amazing had great patience with me I really appreciate that... I did call Pizza Hut right before them because I was unaware that I had a hungry Howies so close to where I lived there person wasn't so nice she had quite an attitude and they weren't closing in 20 minutes they still had a few hours to go I ended up not ordering pizza from them obviously because I was lucky enough to find the hungry Howies close to me super happy I will most definitely order from them again and I will definitely let my friends and family know that this is the hungry Howies that you want to go to Everything was on point I appreciate everybody that worked last night you guys are amazing please keep up the great pizza Work thank you read more

Ordered twice. Both times a 2 item 799 special. The first time got the product as ordered. Pizza was tasty. Second time they tried to charge me 1899 for the 799 special. When I asked wth.
