Burgers and fries

A simple no-frills hole in the wall spot adjacent to a little grocery quick stop. The proprietor, Justin, and his assistant were extremely friendly and quick to provide good service. The fries were incredibly good. The burgers were completely loaded with veggies. That was the best part of them. Basically, they were not anything unusual. But I give it a five because of the overall treatment we received in response to our requests and their welcoming friendliness.

I can't believe this place has been around for over a year and I haven't been here yet. Best Burger in Burnet Co hands DOWN. The chili is phenomenal, you can tell they have a great recipe and it's FRESH. I got the Diablo Burger and my Husband got the Philly Cheesesteak with Mango and Pineapple, and the Chili Cheese Fries. Everything was amazing. My sons got the chicken Tenders and we walked out the door paying $39 WITH drinks and fed a family of four. The guys in there are super friendly and help you decide what to order (there are too many good options). Can't wait to go back! I want to try everything on the Menu!

Hands down the best burger I've ever had and that's saying something. Absolutely delicious.

Good ole fashioned flat top grilled burgers. Etc. Great menu selections and styles. Big Bobby is the best. Been a customer since he opened.

Dalla Tor - Tuscany sandwich with focaccia bread

Dallas Tor: Come for Lunch. Stay Because You've Fallen in Love With the Focaccia…read more Dallas Tor sits in a quaint little area of Marble Falls, although finding it is part of the adventure. It's not right on Main Street. It's tucked away next to a park/plaza, and for a minute I wondered if Google Maps and I were having a disagreement. Keep looking. Once you find it, you'll be very glad you did. The menu is sandwiches and salads, and the sandwiches are served on fresh baked focaccia. Let me stop right there. The focaccia. I could order a slab of this bread, sit on a park bench and call it lunch. Fresh, soft, flavorful and ridiculously good. If carbs are the enemy, I'm prepared to negotiate a peace treaty. My wife and I shared the Caprese salad and the Romeo and Juliet sandwich. Wow. Fresh mozzarella. High quality balsamic. Fresh ingredients. Big flavors. Everything worked together beautifully. And then, of course, there was that focaccia holding the whole operation together. Did I mention the focaccia? Dallas Tor is exactly the kind of place I love finding while traveling. Small, local, a little tucked away and serving something memorable enough that I'm still thinking about it after leaving Marble Falls. Five stars. My only complaint is that they're in Marble Falls and I live near Fort Lauderdale. That seems unnecessarily inconvenient. Did I mention the focaccia?

DALLA TOR is definitely worth a stop. It's right off Main Street and they make some of the best…read moreItalian sandwiches we've had anywhere. The star is the focaccia. They make it fresh in-house, and we've actually watched them pull it out of the oven. The sandwiches are loaded with Italian meats and cheeses and combinations of things like pesto, sun-dried tomato spreads and other really flavorful ingredients. Everything we've tried has been delicious. One thing to know: the sandwiches are dependent on the bread. We've been there later in the day when they had run out of focaccia and stopped making sandwiches, so if that's what you're going for, I wouldn't wait until too late in the day. We also love their chopped salad. It's loaded with lettuce, Italian meat, cheese and a great dressing, and it's one of those salads we end up ordering every time. This has quickly become one of our favorite stops in the area. Fresh bread, great Italian ingredients and seriously good sandwiches. Definitely worth seeking out.

I made a reservation thinking the place might be busy on a Sunday and was able to get seated when we arrived early. Service could have been better. I ordered coffee with my meal while I looked at the menu, and at least 10 minutes went by while the waitress was cleaning a table and not checking in on us. I finally asked where my coffee was, and she realized she had forgotten it. She apologized, and a few seconds later, our food was out. I had also requested the hollandaise sauce on the side, which she had forgotten to include with my order. She offered to redo it while I was sitting there scraping it off, but I told her it would be fine. If I hadn't looked online beforehand, I wouldn't have known about the very small, one-room museum upstairs. We checked it out and got our photos. We came, we saw, and I can officially say I ate inside the Texas Chainsaw Massacre house! I would go back, as it looks like they have bands, and the experience might be better for something other than breakfast.

I remember this little cafe in Marble Falls known for its homemade pies. My grandfather loved stopping here, and sometimes he'd bring pies all the way back to West Texas for us. Oh, how we loved those pies. So we're talking about more than 40 years of nostalgia wrapped up in this place for me. When I recently had the opportunity to make the drive back to Marble Falls, I was genuinely excited. I couldn't wait to sit down at Blue Bonnet again, have a chicken fried steak and, most importantly, get my hands on that PIE. And I'll give credit where it's due. I ordered the chicken fried steak plate, and the chicken fried steak was just as good as I remembered it. Crispy, tender, comforting -- exactly the kind of old-school Texas cafe food I'd been hoping for. The gravy, after adding in some salt and lots of pepper was creamy and perfect. The sides? Well... The green beans tasted canned, and I'm pretty sure those mashed potatoes were the red-skinned powdered variety you can buy at Costco. You know what? I was fine with it. It is what it is. The meal was still pretty darn good, and none of that was why I'd driven back after all these years anyway. I WAS HERE FOR THE PIE. After we ate, I ordered a slice of fudge and a slice of lemon meringue to take home and share. Later, I opened the container. And my smile fell. What in the SCHOOL CAFETERIA had been put into this Styrofoam container and peddled off as Blue Bonnet Cafe lemon meringue pie?! This was not the pie I remembered. The lemon filling was this unnaturally yellow, gelatinous drudge. The crust didn't taste remotely like a made-from-scratch pie crust. And that beautiful homemade meringue I remembered, piled up and lovingly browned on top? Gone. Surely the fudge pie would save this childhood reunion. It did not. Another cheap, flavorless crust with some sort of fudge-like concoction filling it. And THAT is when this stopped being about whether I liked a couple slices of pie. I had carried a memory of Blue Bonnet Cafe around with me for more than four decades. A little cafe, my grandfather bringing pies home to West Texas, and all of us being so excited when he did. Those memories are still wonderful. I just wish the pies I'd brought home this time bore some resemblance to them. Blue Bonnet Cafe, you gave a promise to me... And you broke it. You broke it. My heart -- and my nostalgic little pie-loving heart -- will never be the same.
