Our group had just got done camping over the weekend and were ready to have a good breakfast. I had been craving pancakes and decided to have their 2+2+2: two eggs, two pankcakes and 2 meats. Chose to go with blueberry cakes, over easy eggs and sausage links. While we waited for our food, our cups were refilled timely with good, hot, coffee. Food came out and it was nice and hot. My pancakes were loaded with blueberries so fluffly. My scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly and the sausages were tasty. Food was aplenty and filling. Kept my hunger at bay until grtting home later that afternoon. Great little restaurant in Kingsland. Home cooking and fantastic service. read more

Service was terrible! My lady friend went in for lunch. After we sat down a waitress brought our menues and asked for our drink order. We gave it and shortly, that waitress brought our drinks. Another two couples came in and were seated next to us. After a medium wait time a different waitress came and started taking the order of the couples that came in after us. At no time did any of the waitresses ask for our meal order. We got up to leave and I offered to pay for our drinks, which we did not drink but the waitress just waved us on out. Will never go back there nor will I recommend it to anyone. read more

The food is reallly good. The place is always hot as hell even durning the heat of the summer. The workers look like they are going to stroke out working in that heat the poor things. Get the food to go until the owner stops being cheap and lets the workers regulate the temp to be pleasant in there. The health department should investigate them for unsafe work environment no way those cooks in the back are ok if it's that hot in the front. I've been in there multiple times all through the year and am not a hot natured person. We used to eat in there when we first moved here 5 or so years ago. It's not good for anyone's health to be dripping sweat into their food feeling like they are in an oven when it's 105F or 45F outside. Service was awful! Unfriendly and unwelcoming to say the least. Like we accidentally walked into someone's basement and bothered them. What a weird intimidating type energy. We were rushed and given an attitude the whole time and when we wanted to add fries after receiving our food. Our server was at the end of her shift so they interrupted our meal and conversation to ask my partner to get up and go pay at the counter so the server could collect her tip and leave. Very friendly old school vibe diner ! Wasn't sure what to expect here but service was great, food was great , I ordered the coveted chicken fried steak and man did it deliver !!! It was HUGE and delicious. We also got the French dip was great , and our boys got the kids grilled cheese , my oldest seemed to love the chicken fried steak as much as I did as he was eating that more than his grilled cheese ! I was just charges a 15% fee to call in my order at Crazy Gal Cafe in Kingsland. I will not be doing that again. I had to take the fish back it had a weird taste to it and didn't want my grandparents getting sick. They made me catfish this time instead of cod. They said I was the second person to say something about the taste. read more

Crazy gals is your basic cafe for breakfast and lunch and they have great service (Kingsland location). Prices are reasonable, food is good. Tend to go for breakfast mostly and always enjoy their eggs, crispy bacon, waffles (are great) as well as their pancakes. Love the staff, always pleasant a quick service. read more

Nice little greasy spoon; that's Rooster speak for OK grub in the middle of the Texas Hill Country. Girlfriend for the night and I ended up here hoping to cure our hangovers. Drink order taken and the requisite "Yall need a minute?" was asked. Dang, this gal had a friggin' stopwatch in her apron. We ended up splitting Spanish omelette with a biscuit. Taters as a side weren't included for the price. Bread was over toasted and hard. Salsa delivered was tasty with the sausage, bell pepper, onion, and tomato mix. No credit options here folks unless you want to use their ATM. They did something to knock off part of the fee I think; not exactly sure how that worked. We headed toward Llano and Castell for a drive. I'll check out Grand Central next time looking for a bit more refinement. read more

The food taste great going down but no matter what I eat there I always end up with stomach cramps about 2 hours after. The service is not so good. I mostly eat by myself so I'd rather take it to go or delivery rather than sit in a booth by myself for a meal. They start with togo orders find then slowly became worse and worse. They started by up charging orders togo, then saying the cooks are too busy to put food in a box but dressing a plate is no problem, then they stopped taking togo orders completely while still advertising with Favor delivery. So all the drivers complain because they are offering delivery on a food app then not offering delivery when to driver goes to order, then the driver is out of their money at the same time as I am out of food. The ambiance is good it's got a nice small town feel to it. This review is mainly for the service. read more

The ladies in this cafe are clearly overworked bc they were kinda rude until the food was delivered. I have a service dog who travels with me worldwide. When he accompanies me into a eating establishment he is wearing his service vest and acts appropriately. The server came over and told us the owner does not allow "pets". My reply was he is not a pet, he's my service dog. They left me alone after that about my service animal. We ordered, and the food was ok maybe even a fairly good value, but the service and the way I was treated left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

The restaurant was in need of a manager who cared the tables were cleared off but not clean. The bathroom was dirty. Someone needs to learn how to sweep behind the door and wipe the light switches. Plenty of good food at a fair price. Was fairly crowded on a Sunday morning but we were seated quickly and waited on quickly. Our server had been on the job only 3 days but did a great job. She was very attentive and got the orders correct. Has a small town diner atmosphere so if looking for ambiance go elsewhere. Crowded and noisy but fun to hang out. My wife had a 2 egg breakfast with sausage links toast and hash browns. I had a Spanish omelette and sourdough toast. The omelette were huge made with 4 eggs. Stuffed to the seams with the fillings. Portions were great but giving 4 stars as the actual food flavor was a little bland. If we are back in Kingsland will definitely stop in to give them another try. The one in Kingsland is absolutely amazing! Best meatloaf I've ever had. The one in Burnet however, is terrible. The service, the food and the atmosphere. All horrible. I must say this first: I am a frequent customer of Crazy Gal's. I usually have breakfast and every once in a while we do lunch and/or dinner. I have not been disappointed in service or food. The servers there are absolutely amazing. They are the ones that make the atmosphere what it is. Tonight though was a HUGE disappointment. Everything was going super well until we received our food. Everyone's food was top notch as usual minus one. It literally had hair on the meatloaf. All we asked the server is if they could just remake it. Let me say this, we received nothing for this. We paid FULL price for everything including a nice tip for our awesome server. We received absolutely NO discount on our ticket. Well the server was very professional. It was the manager that was the most unprofessional manager I have ever seen. He literally came out to our table with the hair plate and basically called us liars, stating, "The hair was not of anyone in his kitchen." Upon telling him it was not ours is when he called us liars. I have never at any restaurant experienced this type of unprofessionalism. Needless to say, as long as this individual is a manager at this location none of my friends, family, or myself will be returning. It makes me sad to say this as we absolutely love all the servers, but I will not take that type of unprofessionalism from anyone. He needs to be reprimanded; however, I know it will not happen. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. Since posting this on Google this is what we received back from the owner: Crazy Gal's Cafe (Owner) a day ago Hey barb pretty sure we told the rest of your family not to come back for one. For two, everyone that's reads this, needs a little background of this person. She's a long time problem that was solved today. When your food leaves the window it is checked at least three times. When your boyfriends meatloaf with just mashed potatoes and brown gravy arrives at the table with no hair but five minutes later a literal BALL OF BLONDE HAIR 7 inches long (each strand) is seen on top of the gravy...And your boyfriend has the exact same hair...Process of elimination, the two people in the kitchen are bald or crew cut...So sorry your attempt at another free meal was nullified. Go target another business please. This was our response as we have never had an issue until this point nor have we ever received a free meal for anything. Edit: Not once did we ask for a free meal. Also, I've NEVER had a free meal at this establishment. Never had a problem until this. This just goes to show the unprofessionalism. It was not the same color. In fact the hair had a ting of gray. No one at my table had gray hair. A long time problem? Seriously? Never been a problem. Always brought a group of people in and always spent a lot of money. Never in my life...maybe you need to target someone else. Not targeting anyone, just stating facts. The website informed me that this restaurant has been voted the best Chicken Fried Steak of Burnet County 4 years running....so as a true southerner I had to try it. Knowing there is no such thing as a small winning cfs we opted to split. My husband and I shared the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast & an extra side of 2 scrambled eggs & cheese. We were stuffed! I had the all you can eat catfish. I got only my first small serving because the waitress was too busy refilling used, totally disgusting, oily ketchup bottles. Is that even legal still? I mean the bottle says Heinz, I could still read it even though it was warm out. But is that really what's going in the bottle? How do I know when it's a refilled bottle that the list of ingredients is correct, what if the refill batch has something I can't have? My waitress was good, other than that. Now, she did make sure the 7 top of men had plenty of fish. They got 3 serving each after I arrived and they were there when I got there. Both waitresses working were super busy, but they were mainly doing closing duties. Such as the ketchup, trash cans, sweeping.... I didn't ask.
