The food was great but our server threw a shot of tequila and a squeeze of lime into a cup of water with six ice cubes and called it a Margarita. To help her out my friends ordered a cranberry/vodka and that was mostly water as well. It was so disappointing, the place looks nice and is in a nice location. We had very high hopes. read more

Love Timmy!! The other guy is so rude. Wow can't believe they let him work there. The bar has an amazing view and karaoke on Fridays which we love. Food like bar food but not bad. Drinks are pricey! This place is definitely a neighborhood bar hangout. The view of the lake is pretty. I went on a Sunday afternoon bc I didn't feel like cooking. There was barely anyone there. My food was fresh but the onion rings were too breaded in my opinion. But, the burger was good. I can see this place being a go-to hang out in the summer with the live bands etc. read more

We ate there today the food was good. We eat here quite often. But the last few times the restrooms have been in terrible shape. They need to be cleaned! There was trash today on the ground bagged up from last night that nobody had taken to the trash and some animals had gotten into it. Terrible service. Despite all the signs that say no smoking, bartenders smoke at the bar next to you. Insanely rude bartender, Greg, treats everyone like garbage and yells at customers. Terrible food and extremely overpriced drinks. Small beer pours in tiny plastic cups that still cost more than anyone else near by. This is by far the worst place in town. Nice view read more

This place has gone downhill over the past few years. The food is not that good for the escalated prices and you'll be lucky if it arrives before you've given up on it. The draft beers come in very small cups...no way they are a standard pour. The inside area of bar is full of smokers so be ready to smell like a Marlboro if you need to go to bar to order a drink because the waitstaff is paying you no attention. My rating is based on very poor customer service. we went to barbecue truck and the staff member would not open the window to tell us what time they opened. She walked away then came back and held up her hands to let us know she opened at 11:00. She wasn't doing anything and we were there at 10:55. I realize 5 minutes is not a big deal but where has customer service gone? Don't go here if you want to eat food. You order upstairs and they send the order to the downstairs separate restaurant but there isn't communication. Seriously lacks management. Waited 1.5 hrs for 4 measly poppers that were obviously reheated in the microwave. They were $7! We obviously got up and left. Awesome view. This is the poop barge of the LBJ. Our family went here for our last night on vacation. I literally have never experienced anything like this. After an hour and a half we had no food on our tables. After asking for an update, we were lied to numerous times about our order. The staff wasn't apologetic. We watched friends of the staff come after us and get their food without a problem. The crazy thing is, with good management and structures in place, this would be a great business idea and location. read more

The service here is absolutely horrible. We were unfortunate enough to have sat in the section of the older male waiter, who seemed to either hate the fact that he worked there or just had an issue with us because we asked a simple question about the menu. When our food was brought out it was nothing like what was described and I asked for it to be removed from our bill and was chastised for it by the older bald male. The owners have done a top notch job and invested a ton of money to make this a go to spot on LBJ. Outstanding fuel docks although I didn't notice any dock side assistance with mooring. The deck top bar is outstanding and the barmaids are very friendly and check on you regularly. They could do with some misters to help keep the temperature below boiling because the AC in the bar does nothing. The food menu is somewhat limited but reasonably priced unlike the competition up the Llano which has sky high prices and not much better food. Small but decent selection of Texas craft beers although I'd like to see Alamo or Freetail from San Antonio. Looking forward to going back to experience the music venue just waiting for a band that's not country/western. May I suggest a 70's rock cover band? read more

This place is a new gem in Kingsland. I came for the band playing, The River Rats, but was surprised on a few fronts: first, there is a great grassy area with lots of pinic tables, a big Oak that shades part of the area, and an actual stage--all between two bldgs (one on the water and one you access by car off 1431) that serve food, gas and beer--and that doesn't count a couple of food trailers that serve BBQ and cold beer right to the side; next, the prices are great--can't remember a place you could get $2 Dos Equis or 2 sausage wraps for $5 or brisquet tacos for the same--you can order whole pizzas, burgers--just about anything you'd want hanging out; third, the management and employees are super friendly and really bend over backwards to make your time visiting great; last, I noticed on the website that this place appears to have bands every weekend all summer--wow--that's just crazy for this small town, but so appreciated--clearly management has a vision for the future. At the end of the day, I'll go out of my way to support this local business--startups go under so often and I'd hate to lose this addition. Thank you, Wakepoint! read more

This is a beautiful gas station and restaurant. I suggest going to the restaurant/bar area to enjoy the view. Although, there are a lot of loud kids (college students) during nighttime, or at least during the weekend. The bar has a good selection of alcoholic beverages, but I would suggest not to order food in the bar area area. The food order goes to the little BBQ corner, so I would suggest buying your food there first before going up for a drink at the restaurant/bar. The food and drink was okay, but when a lot of people showed up, the workers at the bar/restaurant was short-handed and well... bless their hearts. We will definitely go back again. And we will definitely drop by in an earlier, less rowdy time. read more

Great addition to the Kingsland area. Very clean store and outstanding waterfront dock with drinks. Great selection of merchandise inside the store as well as great tasting pizzas. The live music is always good. The staff is there to help with whatever you need very attentive. read more

Recieved phone calls from this establishment and when I answered, whoever was on the other line hung up after I said hello. I received one at 2 PM then two phone calls before 10 PM and one just now at 1:15 AM. After the third phone call after 10 I called and spoke with three female staff members - two in the convenience store and then one in the bar alllllll claiming that the phones had not been touched within the last hour. I don't know who you are trying to reach over there from Wakepoint but I have two toddlers and one on the way, my household needs sleep. There is no need for this establishment to be calling at the ridiculous hour of almost 1:30 in the morning. I will be calling management and I will be asking them who was on staff during the hours I am writing about. I find this unprofessional and clearly the staff has some time on their hands to be calling random numbers. read more
