Sweet family run business. Food is always good. We order about once a week and are always served by the same lady who I believe is the owner. If you support small local business I suggest trying this place. They will not disappoint. read more

$10.95 family dinner- comes with soup, egg roll, crab puff and entree. By far the best Chinese food around, and they deliver! read more

Hunan Jade - Kung Pao Chicken. All white meat chicken, really flavorful. - Chinese Near Me - Spring, Texas

This little restaurant is good. Seams to be fresh. It does take some time to get your order even if you phone in. Prices are a little higher for the smaller sized portions. Customer service needs some work and are a little aggressive. I do like to eat here if it's been a long day and don't want to cook. Lemon chicken is very good. I do like how they put on the side of you order for take out Beef and broccoli is good. Chow mai or fun noddles are good Orange chick is ok. Taste like everywhere else. Crab puffs ok. Not enough filling. It's a good place but needs to fill the plates or lower the prices. Also need to work on customer service be more relaxed or friendly. We are paying you for our food not you paying us to eat there. Customer service goes a long way. read more

Crab puffs are absolutely horrible. Basically a ball of fried cream cheese.

I picked up some takeout a couple weeks ago and I got the family dinner which is and entrée (steamed rice) a soup or choice an egg roll an a crab wonton for about $10.99 plus tax which seemed like a good deal. I went with egg drop soup which was OK but very bland needed some seasoning. The steamed rice was brown which surprised me because I was expecting steamed rice with nothing in it. Taste like it was either soy sauce or beef broth still have no idea what it was. I ordered Kung Pow Chicken and I really don't know what I got because I got thin sliced chicken with a couple peanuts and a whole lot of celery and carrots which I have never had in kung pow before. I can't say I enjoyed it although I really wish I did. Best thing out of the whole meal was the egg roll and crab wonton. Which is really unfortunate. Taste wise nothing horrible just a little bland and not very authentic. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. Delivery took over an hour both times I ordered and this second order I didn't even receive my food! I ordered 4 dinners but only received 3 and when I called to find out what happened she wasn't very apologetic except to offer me a credit. I asked what am I going to eat now? I want someone to bring me my food that I paid for and didn't receive! read more

Ordered Shrimp withe broccoli, Kung Pao Chicken and Shrimp with Lobster Sause. Food was extremely bland. No flavor at all and one of us ordered "extra spicy". Very disappointed. read more

Somebody's gonna have to go first right? Small place with excellent food. I've been here twice already. 1. Spring Rolls and Egg rolls are standard 2. Dumplings are great 3. Pad Thai is awesome Due to proximity and quality this is now my go-to Chinese restaurant. read more

Went there the 2nd day they were opened. They have really good food and reasonable pricing. I hope people keep going to keep them open. Everywhere nearby is poor quality or greasy so would say is best in woodlands spring area. They are a small place but feels cozy. read more

We dined in at Hunan Jade and while the service was great, the food was kind of blah. The crab puffs and egg rolls bland and tasted very greasy. The flavor of the crab puff filling was good and had a little sweetness to it that was unexpected. The combination fried rice was just bad. It had no flavor whatsoever and the meat inside was just tiny pieces of feed and shrimp. The Singapore noodles were pretty good and had a good amount of spice and flavor. By far the best thing was the Hunan triple delight which was great. The sauce was good and it was filled with good veggies, beef, chicken, and big shrimp! If you go to Hunan Jade I would definitely recommend this dish. read more

Excellent lunch meal prices. Food was excellent- egg rolls are awesome! Definitely a place to eat! Best Chinese in the area.

This is our go to Chinese restaurant. The food is a bit pricier than others in the area but it's worth it. I really like their pork fried rice and General Tso's chicken. My boyfriend likes the kung pao chicken. We have gotten take out and have also dined in. Friendly staff and quality food. read more

The best chinese food delivery I have ever had! General tso was amazing....crab Rangoon amazing! The hot n sour soup was not my favorite ever but still good! Def recommend 100%! read more

Their food is pretty good. I've had their Orange Chicken and General Tso's Chicken which I liked equally, and they seem to have good options for vegetarians as well. I like the small atmosphere of the place, and the fast, friendly service of the restaurant staff. read more

Great place, good food and they deliver! I especially love that they do not cook with msg, saves me from a migraine!

I love this place. The owners are very friendly and the food is delicious. I've been there twice already. Use to go to Rice Bowl but I'm switching here. Nice quiet setting. Very clean. read more

I thought it was pretty decent and close to home compared to another one nearby that we tried. Great crab rangoons and their fried rice is good. Not bad. read more

So gross - especially considering the amount of Chinese food options near here. They deliver, so they got a couple of stars. Stay away from the shrimp with lobster sauce. It wasn't authentic at all. Looked like they cooked shrimp in egg drop soup. read more

The best American Chinese food in this area. The owners are so nice, and the food comes with big portion. Beef lo min is my favorite very authentic Chinese style. The best thing is they do delivery that makes me will always order from them. Anyway I like this place a lot, hope everyone can try their food and support this little Chinese restaurant. read more

Fresh ingredients but the under utilization of spices, herbs, and salt made the food lackluster. The quick service may be the only reason why I would go out of my way to visit this restaurant again. read more

Dropping my rating because we found a number of places in the area that are now superior. Past two times have really disappointed us. Just no flavor...even with the little plastic packets of soy sauce. read more

Egg foo young with chicken and vegetables is excellent. Great crab puffs. Lo mein good flavor but hardly any meat and more like spaghetti noodles. Chicken vegetable soup very good and light. Kiddo loves their chicken nuggets, are thin and crispy battered. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY to go order took 52 MINUTES! Then they forgot a part of our order This is not okay! Where's the common sense and customer service? STAY AWAY read more

Since this place is very close and convenient for us we really wanted it to be a regular for us. Our family has eaten in 3 times there and had take-out maybe 3 or 4 other times, so between all the family members we've had a very wide cross-section of their various menu items. but now we've finally decided to cross it off our Asian list. -No issues with the menu, it's as varied as any other average area Chinese restaurant, -No issues with prices or portions, they're very average. -No issues with the family running it, the wife that runs the front is very nice and personable (contrary to another reviewer's previous remarks). -No issues with cleanliness or decor, they're both a bit better than average area Chinese. Our issue is with the blandness of the food tastes. Everything we've tried has been very bland, just not much taste. Doesn't taste bad, just not much flavor. read more

This place is super yummy. It is a clean restaurant as well. You cannot beat the lunch specials.

Hunan Jade has the best Chinese food around! It's consistency delicious! I haven't tried anything on the menu that I wasn't pleased with. Great takeout/delivery place. read more

Great little hole in the wall type place! We had the Beef with Broccoli and the Orange Chicken. Both were really good! (And fresh!). No squeaky meat here! Chicken was white chicken breast and the beef was lean and tender. Only downside to our visit was canned sodas and unsweet tea. Service was great, food was delicious, and the location is pretty easy to get to. We'll be back! read more

We always come here when we're feeling something different from the mall Asian food.. never disappoints and great service! Always quick even with large to-go orders read more

Excellent, fast service for that quick stop or pick up Chinese food need. Clean restaurant and easy to find location!

Awesome hunan Chinese food! Friendly staff also. They have the best Chinese food in the area, as far as I am concerned.

Prices are nice, food was very meh, staff was very friendly. There's just better options around if you want Chinese food.

I always order through Hunans for Chinese food. My fiancé and I always get the same thing. Sweet and sour chicken, general tso chicken, an order of chicken fried rice, egg rolls and crab ragoons. Yes, the delivery takes time, as there is always just one driver. They tell you before you complete your order how long it will take. There was one time that they actually forgot the sweet and sour chicken, and chicken fried rice. The driver immediately went back and brought us double of each to make up for it. Great staff and great customer service. read more

If you live in The Woodlands, the food here is worth 'crossing the freeway' for. It's the best Chinese restaurant around: fresh ingredients, wonderful sauces, flavorful without being greasy. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the service. They are understaffed so the service is harried and even, sometimes, rude. I think most of their business is takeout and the one employee who waits table is constantly occupied taking phone orders and managing the takeout customers at the cash register. If they ever add a full-time, friendly server they will deserve a full five stars. read more

This place has great food - it's really cheap too! I'm a big fan of their honey chicken - it comes with either a soup or egg roll, both are good as well. read more

It appears that this restaurant may be linked with Spring Asian Cuisine which is located farther down Rayford Rd. I've eaten at SAC many, many times and have always been happy with the portions and prices (i have also reviewed that restaurant). Well, it appears that my one complaint about SAC is now at the forefront of Hunan Jade: the hostess. It is the same hostess that used to be at SAC and is now here, but it appears that here she comes off as absolutely rude. While this would have prevented 5 stars, the reason for 1 star is more than just the hostess. The price of the food is much higher here than at SAC and the portions are roughly half what they are down the road. The food was edible, but it was a serious let-down as far as flavor and quality. Back to the price: child's sweet & sour chicken plate, $5 which consisted of a side of plain rice, 4 tiny chicken strips, and a bowl of S&S sauce. Anywhere else and it would have been $3 or maybe even complimentary (esp for the price of adult portions). The bill for 3 people (with 2 drinking water and child having a sprite)... no sides, appetizers or anything.. literally 3 dishes before tip was ~$30. Now, on the the kicker: my wife's plate came out with a long, grey curly hair laid across it. definitely not very appetizing and absolutely should have been recognized by the staff prior to being delivered to our table... i mean, this thing was THE most visible item on the plate!! Well, after about 5 minutes I finally got the hostess' attention and showed her the hair. She pulls it out (and it was worked into the food) and started like she wanted to argue about it... but quickly just decided to make her a new plate. Well, they did bring out a new plate but it didn't take very long (we questioned whether they just resent us the original plate or actually made a new one). well, we think they did make her a new one, but it was a questionable amount of time they were gone. Seriously, get rid of the hostess, decrease prices or increase portions, and NEVER forget: the customer is ALWAYS right! needless to say, we will never be back! read more

I'm vegetarian and they have great food. They are also very nice people and the restaurant was very clean. Also we live in the area and get to-go food. I'm glad they're in the area. read more

We ordered the Pad Thai and Kung Pao Chicken. Neither of the dishes met our expectations. The food was fresh, but bland. The Pad Thai sauce did not have a sweet base and the Kung Pao Chicken was rather generic. The egg rolls were average. The food was comparable to other small Chinese restaurants in the area. Great service and friendly staff. read more

Very bad experience. Everything was sweet even spicy dish as if they have sprinkled sugar over it.spring rolls was old and stale.
