    Falafel and mushroom wrap
    Karo R.

Hummus Republic is pretty awesome!!! I passed this place a few times while in Tampa and today I decided to stop in and they did not disappoint. I ordered the falafel wrap and was offered to try the mushrooms which was so yummy, I agreed to having them put on my wrap which was not the best Idea however, the mushrooms are definitely a stand alone or rice bowl addition, but the were a bit hard to bit into on the wrap. The falafels were really great! Just as I like them, crunchy on the outside, flaky and nutty in the inside! YUMMY!!!! The service was amazing, and the restaurant was clean and the price point are about the same as other restaurants in the area. I also noticed craft lemonades and was so happy to see someone cleaning out the containers while I was placing my order. I would definitely recommend this place, several vegetarian and vegan options available.

First time at Hummus Republic! Super similar to Chipotle concept but with Mediterranean food. The service was very fast right before lunch and they had outdoor seating. I don't recall everything I put in my bowl but it was very tasty. Would go back.

    Flavored drinks.

Sometimes I get salad instead of fries, but today was that kind of day. The falafel is fresh perfectly fried extremely tasty. The hummus is their usual high-quality homemade version. Lamberger came out piping hot, juicy on a fresh bun and the fries are delicious. I also ordered an unsweetened iced tea and that came out just fine exactly the way I like it ice cold. Even though I sat outside and it's a bit noisy here and a bit hot. I really don't care because I do love this place. If something goes wrong here, make sure to tell them right away and they'll fix it. They're very good. Finally, let me just say how much I appreciate the consistency on your Quality as well as the freshness of their ingredients at all times. As usual, highly recommended!

I'd hate to go against the many great reviews, but I wasn't impressed with the Turkish dishes. Firstly the name is deceiving. It should be called "Tazza Turkish, Mediterranean, Greek, Italian and other international food". And yes, I know I should've picked up on that bit of knowledge from viewing the menu - I get it. On the food - the hummus and tzatziki apps were good , except the pita bread were just reheated pitas found at the local Publix. The coconut shrimps were not coconut. The mixed grill was ok. Lastly the kunefe was eh.. The Turkish coffee was good. Overall not impressed with the Turkish food. It wasn't terrible just not as authentic as I expected. And quite overpriced

I came here cus zaky Zak's was closed til 3. I fell in love with Mediterranean food recently, although I always loved Greek and Italian. Middle Eastern food was mysterious and I was intimidated. My forked is Lebanese and Emirate ( Emirates) and she recently prepared a lunch for me that blew my mind and now I'm hooked! Searching all the Tampa spots for the best. This meal was very delicious and they had 3 of the dishes she made for me so I ordered two and tried something new. Service was kind, gentle and generous. They gave me a Turkish tea at the end which was a delight. Below is pics of what I ordered i remembered this time cus I wanted to send this place to my friend. Enjoy!

Angora did not disappoint! We arrived around noon on a Sunday and were seated quickly. We ordered the Breakfast for 2 and, coming hungry after the gym, we added a Lahmacun just in case. The breakfast spread was incredible. The cheeses, tomatoes, and cucumbers were fresh and flavorful, and the baked breads were delicious. The breakfast also comes with a full pot of Turkish tea (enough to fill our glasses 6+ times!). For the egg dish, we chose the Menemen, and it was genuinely as good as what I make at home--which is saying a lot. We ended up taking more than half the Lahmacun home because the portions were so generous, but it was baked to perfection. The restaurant is very clean with an open-concept kitchen where you can see the chefs at work. We will definitely be back!

The restaurant was clean and there's an outdoor area to smoke hookah as well. Our server was so sweet and we absolutely adored her! The food did take a while on the wait but the portions were pretty huge for the prices. We had the following: Appetizer sampler (hummus, tirosalata, tzatziki, and baba ghanouj. served with fresh pita) - 8/10 - this was so fresh and delicious! All the dips were made fresh and covered in olive oil. The pita was baked fresh and went so well with the dips! The sizes of the dips were massive and we had plenty to take back to our hotel. It took me back to Greece and it made me super happy. I love eggplant and the baba ghanouj was smokey, creamy, and so much eggplant flavor. There was a dip that I haven't tried yet called tirosalata and it's made with feta cheese and garlic and topped with oregano and olive oil. That was probably my second favorite dip next to to the baba ghanouj. It was tangy and enjoyable on the palate. The hummus and tzatziki dips were also hits and we enjoyed every single bite. We had some leftover and the sweet waitress gave us some extra fresh pita bread to take home. Castoria chicken salad - 8/10 - my friend had this and really enjoyed it. It had lettuce, jalapeno, grilled chicken, cucumber, tomato, onion, and avocado in a garlic aioli dressing topped with cheese and pita chips. She said it was one of the better salads she's had and was super fresh. the portion size was huge and she had plenty to take back to enjoy later. I tried some of her salad and I agree, it was delicious. Greek Souvalki wrap - 7/10 - my husband had this with the Greek fries and he seemed to like it. It was good, but he said he's had better ones. The pork tenderloin was tender and flavorful and he enjoyed the fries (had feta cheese on them). The fries were fried perfectly, golden brown with a satisfying crunch to them. The feta cheese crumbles on top were an excellent addition to the hot fries as it melted onto them. Overall, we would come back again if we're in the area. The prices were pretty decent for the portion sizes. The only slight complaint was that the food took a while and we were getting tired as it was getting pretty late. Nonetheless, even though it's a chain, the food was decent and good.

I had to get up and get salt and pepper. It was super lemony so I didn't have high hopes for our entree. Then the gyro platter came out presented beautifully but it wasn't until we took our first bites and we were overjoyed with our choice. Absolutely perfect, definitely shareable and we would consider going back to this restaurant to try other food options. At Takies the music stopped playing and here the same thing happened. Music was playing and then it stopped for about 10 min until the manager most likely noticed and he went and turned it back on. What's with these Greek restaurants. Put music on a loop so it never stops playing. Anyways the booths were big and comfortable, the restaurant was a very good size. The ladies room needs some help. There were chunks of wall missing. Our young waitress was fantastic, I wish I knew her name. Again if we are in an area where there's another Acropolis, we would definitely go.

We waited about 15 minutes just to get our check, and other tables around us waited close to 30 minutes to check out, not including the actual payment process. The menu isn't very typical, but the offerings themselves were interesting. We ordered the chicken, which was genuinely amazing and definitely the highlight of the meal. We also got the hummus. The hummus itself was good, but the portion was extremely large, and the pita bread that came with it was very thin and tasted a little stale. The French fries were really good. One thing they could improve on is the food presentation. Our plate had all the chicken piled on the bottom, fries on top, and the pita bread laid over everything, which felt a bit odd visually. The restaurant has a lot of potential, but the menu could benefit from being expanded a bit. There's also a mixed meat option on the menu priced at $200, which feels very high for the area. That said, the outside patio is really cute. If you do decide to come and try this place, I'd definitely recommend sitting outside. Overall, good food with room for improvement in service, presentation, and menu variety.

We didn't do breakfast, but we did the Sunday Brunch and OMG the spread they put out was simply divine. They had mimosas and a few cocktails and sangria you could order, and order, and order again. The service was impeccable too, with someone trying to refill your champagne at the drop of a hat. There were desserts too, and I tried a few, but the savory dishes are more up my alley (wait, that sounds gross). I didn't eat dinner that night! :) Dinner was good too, although it was off of a menu and not unlimited. The Ribeye was good, but not the best ever. The shrimp and quinoa dish was amazing, as was the beetroot tartare (and I hate beets). The baked potato was amazing too with creme fraise and caviar. There is also a cocktail menu which has different drinks from the Library bar and pool bar too. It's nice to get a variety of options when going between different places. They had wines too. They brought out toasted Gluten Free bread to go with them, it was quite good. The Gluten bread option was a winner according to my boys. Out of the entrees, the Grouper was easily the winner. For dessert, the mango sorbet was really good, but the cheesecake texture wasnt set up well. Was more like a flan than a cheesecake. I think you can just get mango sorbet, so you might go that route and skip the cheesecake. We will be trying breakfast and maybe sunday brunch, so more coming soon!
