As the mochi doughnut and Korean corn dog are no more new and hot, this Mochinut added a new section BiBimGo -Korean rice bowl. My base was half purple rice, half noodle. My protein was half satay chicken, half gochujang chicken. For the toppings, I got kimchi, cucumber, corn, bean sprout, pickle radish, cilantro, romaine lettuce . Sesame sauce and the Gochujang sauce were added on top. Most of the ingredients in the bowl were already individually seasoned and on the top of it, there were two types of sauce. So it was a very flavorful, pleasing combination. I liked it a lot. The young employee was so helpful. He gave generous amount of food and wasn't bothered by my many questions. A cup of miso soup came with it. It was a good miso soup. The store is still making fresh mochi dounut and corn dog. So many places sell build your bowl nowadays. For the quality and quantity, BiBimgo is my top favorite. The interior looked fun, clean and comfortable for dine in. There's a neon sign by the entrance say Halal food. Stopped here with my daughter on our way home last night. We heard they had the self serve ramen bar here so we were curious to check it out. The variety of ramen was really nice, & I decided to go with a miso flavored one. My daughter decided to get the Korean Corn dog, & then we both got boba & an Ice cream for dessert. The boba tea was good except some of the boba were stuck together forming an extra long boba which kept getting caught in the straw & making it difficult to drink. The ramen was really good as well, & the machine did cook everything really well. My bowl did end up getting a small hole in the bottom of it during the cooking process, but that may have been a user error on my part though, & the young lady working gave me another bowl to put everything after it finished cooking. My daughter really liked the Korean corn dogs & loved the extra long cheese pulls she was getting on them. We did notice they had some of those ice creams that went viral online a little while back so we each got one, I got the peach ice cream & my daughter got the fried chicken ice cream. We both enjoyed them, I loved how realistic the ice creams looked & the peach ice cream was so tasty, the outside part of it felt like I was biting into an actual peach. My daughter liked that there was a chocolate covered pretzel in the middle of the fried chicken ice cream that was the "bone". I happen to be in the area and spotted this spot that's right up my alley. All the donuts looked good, but after tasting them they are too dense for my liking. However, they offer a lot of other things to try such as noodles, boba, and crafty dogs which may be worth it. In addition during my first visit, I also encountered the employees bickering amongst each other about how one had missed their shift and the other calling his co workers names such as "idiot". All while paying customers are dining in. Management needs to keep an eye on this in order to have a reputable business and excellent service . read more

This is one of those places I had heard so much about and had been dying to try, so I was extremely excited to finally be in the area and try it out. It definitely lived up to alllllll the hype! The Korean corn dog was delicious, the mochi donuts were out of this world and the boba was incredible. I love how they have so many flavors of boba, corn dogs and donuts, with rotating donut flavors. I love the hot Cheeto one with half hot dog and half cheese. It's the perfect blend of spicy and sweet with the sauces they offer. The vibe of the space is also really cute and simple, with places to sit with aesthetic spots for photos. This review is specifically for the mochinut doughnuts. Ahhh i really wanted to like this place but i just didn't. When we arrived, no one was in the front. There was a guy in the back but it took him a couple minutes to come up to the front. There was no "hey, welcome". It was our first time there but he just said let me know if u have any questions. We ended up ordering the trio. Strawberry funnel, cinnamon, and a caramel churro. They were all dry and cold. I think they will taste better if they were actually warm or fresh out the grease. The cinnamon one had to be the worst one of them all. It tasted like a pack of big red gum. Not a fan. The other ones were just so dry and not pleasing to the palate. The bathroom was clean though! There was a bunch of options to choose from and they had no problem making a suggestion based on our flavor palette. We ordered mochi donuts, boba milk teas and classic and hot Cheetos hotdogs. I have seen and heard the hype of this place, so I figured I would finally jump on the wagon and try it for myself. I went in around 1230PM on a Tuesday and it wasn't busy at all. There were 2 people working (One in the kitchen and one behind the counter). I ordered 6 mochinut and an ube boba. I was given the donuts quickly but due to there not being enough ube drink made, I had to wait for a new batch. I understand that happens but what came next annoyed me. The woman told me to wait a couple minutes and she told the other employee she needed more ube for the drink. he didn't go make it right away, instead they proceeded to help 4 people behind me and make their drinks while I wait and wait. Finally they made the drink mix and finished my drink. And then instead of stirring it like usual, I was told to stir it myself well. As far as taste ratings go, the ube boba was sub-par. I've had much better before because I feel like this one lacked that actual flavor, and tasted more like milk and just brown sugar. The mochinut donuts are a different story! I grabbed a cookies n cream, strawberry cheesecake, matcha, milk tea, chocolate cinnamon churro and strawberry funnel cake. These all were delicious! I finally tried Mochinut Tampa, and the gentleman behind the counter was so sweet to help me pick three mochi donuts from their yummy offerings this week. I tried the Blueberry Cheescake, White Chocolate Monaliza and the Strawberry Funnel mochi donuts, and while all were fabulous, my favorite was definitely the White Chocolate Monaliza. It's the perfect combo of soft dough, creamy white chocolate and crunchy chocolate pieces. Overall, I think Mochinut is a solid place to visit. The people working here are friendly and I think they made the ambiance and decor of the place pretty cool and Instagram worthy. The mochi donuts themselves are decent. They have a good chew to them that is unique and different when compared to traditional donuts. The flavors are also much more unique when compared to standard donuts. For instance, you can find Thai Tea Donuts or Matcha Donuts here. While most of the flavors are pretty good, I do wish some of the flavors didn't taste so artificial. But overall, solid place to visit every so often :) read more

Visiting from Kansas City for son's soccer tourney and heard about how good mochi donuts are. So of course I had to try them out. If you like donuts and mochi I 100% recommended this place! The texture is amazing! Crispy outside and soft mochi chewyness on the inside. I wish there was an option to have them warmed up to kick it up a notch but no biggie I can wait to take it back to the hotel ! Friendly staff that just speak loudly so don't be alarmed. Unfortunately the temple terrace location is always out of donuts when we go check the review below for the St. Pete location. (This review is for the Pinellas Park location 5) I've been wanting to try mochinut for the longest time! We live in Brandon but every time we make the treck to the Temple Terrace location they are out of donuts. Today while in St. Pete we came across this location and decided to stop by! The woman working (who I assume was the owner) said this location was not affiliated with the Ding Tea in Brandon (which we normally go to) but she was super sweet and very helpful in helping me decide what to get. My husband and I shared a Taro Boba, 3 donuts (strawberry, Ube, fruity pebble) and a potatoes half and half dog. The taro tea was perfect, filled with boba - my husband LOVED it. The donuts were a 10/10 they were each better than the other. The strawberry was fresh and warm and super flavorful, the Ube was also quite delicious. You could tell the fruity Pebble was not as fresh as the others but it was still very good!! The best thing there though is (in my opinion) the corn dogs. I have had the plain with cheese and dog in NYC and loved the concept, this time we tried the potato which was recommended and it was so good! I was finally able to try mochi donuts for the first time! They were pretty good! I believe that they are denser than the typical donut. I'm not a big fan of this, but they were still pretty good. I ordered the biscoff, the nut butter, and the churro. My favorite was the churro, it seemed to be a bit airier than the others and the flavor and texture reminded me of a churro. I would definitely return for the churro donut. The store was very clean and comfortable. I loved the Instagram worthy set up! And the service was quick and friendly. Overall the donuts were pretty good, but I don't believe that I am a fan of mochi donuts. But I'd definitely recommend to others to have it a try! read more

This is my third experience at Mochinut. First time was in Bradenton, & now twice at this location. I love the cereal half and half dog. It is life changing. I've tried the potato half and half in Bradenton. That was good too, but this one ultimately is the best. I like some of the Mochinut flavors I've tried. My faves were mango peach and cookies and cream. This last time I also had honey dew and strawberry. I've also tried matcha and Ube pebbles off the top of my head. Now, they just started selling their boba drinks. Seriously, it was not good. I ordered the Ube drink. It was just odd. The best part was the coconut milk in it. It had mostly an Ube extract aftertaste which is so artificial and strong. It was also very pricey bc the up charge consists of boba and cheese foam. The cheese foam quickly dissolved and I didn't taste it at all. This drink came out to about $9, and was a total waste of money. I would stay with the cereal dog and have a donut. I did find out you can order just one which is good enough for me. They make you full pretty fast. But I can understand that the flavors look bright and eye popping. Very crowded, and it's been months. It seems even more hardcore corn dog fans are here now and the doughnuts are an afterthought. So, I can't wait for the Pinellas Park location to open closer to my house. So far, I've tried the doughnut flavors: Strawberry, cantaloupe, churro, cookies and cream. Being a fan of the original Pon-de-ring doughnuts from Mister Donut *Japan, it is always wonderful to see my favorite doughnuts have made it here to the US. Thankfully, I no longer have to drive all the way to Orlando to get my ponde-de Misto fix! The doughnut flavor here is not the same, as you can smell the oil as soon as you open the box. That is not normal. I recommend they fry the doughnuts separately from the other items or change the oil more regularly to prevent the strong smell and diluted flavor. *My reviews get flagged when I mention a country, so sorry Yelp Gods. I've been itching to come here. So planned a date with my friend and daughter. They have mochinuts, boba tea, soft serve and Korean rice flour hotdogs and mozzarella. They have various options for the hotdog and you can even get half hotdog and half mozzarella or you can just get all mozzarella which is what we did. Greeted when we entered. Looked over the menu and staff explained that you start at the mochinut area and choose your flavors then if I want anything else you place that order at the register. So we ordered our mochinut which mine was the churro with chocolate drizzle and then proceeded to the register to order a green milk tea and Korean mozzarella stick. The tea -- they have 6 flavors to choose and milk alternative and boba cost extra of course. Milk alternative is unsweetened almond milk so I got that for $1 upcharge. I asked for unsweetened however advised that the tea is premade and already sweet and cannot change. I wanted to try it so I got it anyway and the girl said she'd just put less of the tea and more of the almond milk. The cups they are served in are super cute and reusable! Heavy plastic. The tea was not good. It was very sweet and had a not so great aftertaste. Not sure if the premade tea is something from concentrate or if they brew it but it's in a cooler that they merely take out and mix with milk to then serve. I don't recommend this. The Korean mozzarella stick -- these are made fresh to order. Keep your receipt because they do check the number when calling for you to pick up your order. The cheese was stringy like we like. One bite and pull and it's like look at that cheese!! The rice flour coating is lightly sweet which I was not expecting. The crunch is nice and light. This was actually pretty good. The mochinut -- I've had better! And I don't have a desire to come back here for another. It's more of a crispy and less doughy consistency. It was just ok. Overall glad I tried and maybe we would return for the mozzarella stick however not for anything else. read more

The ramen is just ok. I do like the half mozzarella and the hot dog. The outside sprinkles with minor sugar. I have the potatoes hotdogs before. I think their best hot dog is potatoes hotdogs. I think a lot of the unfavorable reviews came from the experience during Mochinut's soft open. I went the week before the grand opening, and the store was PACKED with people with a line outside the door. Although they were slammed with customers, the staff was incredibly hospitable and courteous during my stay. My friends and I arrived at 1 pm, but Mochinut had run out of donuts. They put up a sign with a return time, so we returned just before the designated time to get a good spot in line. They did not have the full menu of donut flavors as advertised online, but they had about 6 flavors available: Ube with fruity pebbles, Strawberry funnel cake, Matcha (my three favorite of what was available), as well as Churro caramel, Churro chocolate, and Oreo. If you've never had a donut made of mochi, the consistency is fluffy, soft and chewy. They're best eaten fresh, and since the donuts were sold as quickly as they were baked, the donuts we got were super fresh! I also tried two Korean hot dogs. Korean hot dogs are corn dogs with assorted coatings. You can also get mozzarella cheese centers, or half-and-half (half hot dog, half cheese). I ordered two half-and-half hot dogs, one coated with crispy ramen and the other with potato. One was mistakenly made as cheese only. The crispy ramen was too hard for my preferences, so I preferred the potato coated hot dog more. The full menu of Mochinut offers milk tea and soft serve in addition to their Korean hot dogs and mochi donuts. You can get your fix of savory and sweet in this trendy snack shop. I was so excited that we have not only a Korean hot dog but also a mochi donut. They do also serve boba tea!! The corn dogs were good!! It was so hot and fresh!! So be prepared to wait especially if they are busy. They opened pretty recently so there was a line despite getting there 20 minutes after opening. I had to wait 25 minutes for 3 corndogs. So not too bad. But I wasn't mad about the wait especially when I got to taste the food!! The kids loved it/I loved it!!! The donuts were also so good!! The texture is light and chewy and the topping is sweet but since the donut itself is not sweet it's very balanced. They had a lot of flavors that they seem yo rotate. I'm not sure they were prepared for the amount of people that showed up! I arrived at 2:30 on Saturday and there was a sign on the door that said come back at 4, so we did that. We had a little lunch some place else and came back and got in line at 3:45. They had already opened the door, and the sales were being made. I showed my letter when it was my turn, and they explained they didn't have the corn dog at that moment (no worries) and that they would give me another mochinut in it's place. AWESOME. I also bought a dozen of their donuts for the house. Flavors were limited at the time as it appeared they were gonna sell out ( they did but more was being made) and I was fine with what ever I got to try: churro, Übe, maple bacon and chocolate frosted. I've never had such a light and delicious donut. Yes, they're different, but I think I like them better. It's a new business, hiccups are gonna happen. So clearly most of the negative reviews relate to the wait time for kdogs and their lack of supply. Quick tip- monitor their Instagram page BEFORE you go. They post when they are out of the kdogs or if they're sold out for the day and have closed early. If you're not going for kdogs (which typically have a 45 min wait now bc of crowds) you can get your mochinuts fairly quickly. I've gone twice and each time just walked in, picked my mochinut flavors, paid, left. Don't expect to show up late in the day and have a large selection, be smart about it and try to go earlier when they first open that way they'll have a larger selection. Just my advice *shrugs* The mochinuts are a bit pricey (3 for $9, 6 for $17, etc) but they're actually very tasty and delicious when you get them fresh. It's a nice little treat to get every once in a while :) haven't tried the boba drinks they offer or the kdogs but definitely will once the hype of this place dies down. read more
