I usually get the Four Bowl, and this time I got it with the cauli potato mash, crunchy kale caesar, basil mushrooms, baked almond chicken, and the creamy white ginger. The cauli mash was smooth and not lumpy, and the basil mushrooms were sufficiently seasoned. The kale cesar this time was heavy on the caesar/cheese and the almond chicken was definitely heavy on the almonds. Food-wise, I went with both the steak and the chicken, and they were both really good. The steak was flavorful and cooked well, and the chicken didn't disappoint either. Food was ready as quoted, although I did see the line moving quickly when we were there. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The place is decorated nice and bright and very inviting. The food was fantastic, healthy food that tastes great! I had the six bowl: with brown rice, spinach salad, basil mushrooms, lemon garlic broccoli, grilled citrus chicken and grilled herb steak with herb balsamic vinaigrette. Absolutely delicious and I ate the whole bowl. There's parking around the building and special spots for online ordering pickup. This will probably be my new lunch spot that I frequent. I didn't bother with the overpriced water so I asked for a water cup as I was paying. The interior of this new location is very pink, less plants than the SoHo location, and provides a lot of parking. There's outside seating plus low and high top tables inside. I usually love Fresh Kitchen, but today was frustrating. I spent almost $15 on a bowl and received about two-thirds of the usual amount of noodles, mushrooms, and chicken (double protein), plus a full scoop of rice. When I asked for the portions to be filled properly, I was told--something I've never heard before--that they measure by weight, not by the scoop. The employee even claimed the underfilled scoop "felt heavy," which is ridiculous. I was shocked that someone would claim to gauge portion sizes by hand. I'd really like to know what the actual portion expectations are so I can determine whether or not it's worth continuing to spend my money here. Consistency matters. read more
