The food is sooo good here. I got the crispy chicken buffalo wrap and it was full of spicy flavor. I love the ranch dressing that came with the wrap as it was not like any other ranch dressing I have tasted prior. The regular build your own bowl is very fulfilling also. You get to choose 2 bases, 2 proteins, 1 veggie and 1 sauce. The highlights of the bowl for me were the Mac n cheese along with the mushrooms. The ambiance of the place is very chill. I want to start by saying, when I walked in it did not smell good. Not like spoiled food or anything like that just didn't smell appetizing. I did a BYO bowl with lemon garlic roasted broccoli, lemon garlic kale and lemon garlic chicken (can you sense a theme lol) and feta cheese Got back to work which was only a couple minute walk. Portioned out what I was going to eat and then went back to my desk. I tried the chicken first, it was not good. There was no lemon garlic flavor on it. It was more of a curry taste. I ended up not even eating it. The kale and broccoli were good but that was it. Considering I paid around $15 I was not very happy. The service was good, my food was ready when I got there. Awful. Got a coupon in the mail so thought I'd try it out since just moving here. Food tasted like it was so old / sitting out all day. I don't think anyone was in the kitchen cooking as food was just sitting on baking trays out in the open. Who knows how old that is. The food stations looked so messy too. Stopped here daily when I was in Tampa, now in terms of service the turn over is very high so there is very little consistency in preparation and level of service but I will say the build your own bowls are an amazing value and all the ingredients are delicious. If you come you must try the ancho chicken and kale caeser they were incredible. I used to go to the Vale in Tallahassee a few times a week and loved it. I was excited to finally try the Tampa location but likely won't be back. First, I tried to go twice (6pm and 4pm) , their hours online say open until 7pm, but both times it was closed. Third times the charm I guess, I went around 1pm for lunch and was disappointed. They were out of everything. There were 3 near empty bases which looked okay. I got the kale which was weirdly very sweet. The only two veggies were buffalo cauliflower and mushrooms. Both alright, warm at best. I got the ancho chicken which was good. I didn't get a boost, again, out of half of what the menu offers. Honestly, I felt like my stomach was smiling after eating here. I tried the regular size bowl today and I had it loaded with the following: fresh greens (aka lettuce), roasted sweet potato cubes, balsamic mushrooms (omg!!!), shredded Brussel sprouts, then topped with steak (+$1.50), southwestern chicken, spicy feta cheese, and a side of chipotle dressing. Truth be told, I could not get it in my mouth fast enough. The mushrooms were perfect and the texture of the shredded Brussel sprouts were satisfyingly crunchy event after being cooked a bit. If you're in downtown Tampa and love the veg life, come here. My only veggie suggestion-add zucchini noodles to the menu. Appreciated that their food packaging was compostable. Food is tasty but not all that fresh. My brown rice had a lot of hard rice in it. First thought I was getting bones then realized it was dried-out rice. I wondered how long it had been sitting there. Service was ok. It's loud in here and the glass between staff and clientele made it hard to communicate. Having food intolerances, being able to know ingredients is important. When I asked the server about things, besides having a hard time hearing me, she replied she didn't know. I figured she must be new and in her first service job. The workers also did not have any gloves on and one of them picked something out of my bowl WITH THEIR BARE HANDS. They also sliced my friend's avocado with their bare hands.
