    Poke bowl

Quaint place hidden in a strip mall, which either means it is horrible or it is a hidden gem. This place is the hidden gem variety; friendly service and really good food. I tried the poke bowl and the ingredients were fresh and tasty.

A Chinese friend recommended this place, and I'm glad I gave it a try! On my first visit, I had a spicy rice noodle soup ( with pork intestines)--nothing too spicy, but the broth had an authentic flavor that reminded me of home. I'd give it an 8 out of 10. If you can't accept eating organs, you might choose regular beef or the veggie one. I came back for a second visit and tried the noodles, which I enjoyed even more--definitely a 9 out of 10! The restaurant is usually quiet, might be because I went outside of regular meal times. If you're looking for Chinese-style authentic rice noodle soup or noodles, I'd recommend giving this spot a try. (When ordering rice noodle soup, make sure it's w/ or w/o soup) The staff are friendly, service is quick, and if you like heat, don't forget to ask for extra chili sauce--it packs a punch!

The poke express add the Yunnan rice noodles soup and Chinese BBQ. We revisited their restaurant for their added menu. We are welcome for additional choices for the customers. We start with the Chinese BBQ with lamb and intestines skews. Those are good spice marinated and rich in taste. The meat provides in the skewers has good quantities. It is very positive. The second appetizer is the 5 spice chicken nuggets. Those are really good too. The main dish is the chili chicken with rice. This dish is ok. I prefer they fried the chicken and stir fry with chili sauce. Unfortunately, is just a regular stir fry. The last dish is Yunnan fatty beef noodles soup. It was delicious to include duck blood jello. Very rare that other restaurants serve that.

I found a Groupon offer for 5% cashback which attracted me to Poke Express! Upon arriving, the parking lot is spacious. From looking at the exterior of the shop, I was a little skeptical - but I decided to trust my fellow Yelpers as the reviews were quite positive overall. My family and I stepped into the restaurant and were immediately greeted. They asked us if we knew what we wanted and when we expressed that we were unsure, they offered us some menus and told us we could sit down to have a look and decide. We ended up ordering their hibachi chicken noodles (portion was amazing for the price), a regular sized build-your-own (comes with 2 scoops of protein, you can choose 2 different ones from their selection) and a large size build-your-own (comes with 3 choices of protein, $10.99). If you're looking for a place with aesthetic-looking poke bowls, this might not be the place; however, they have really cute decor (like these angel wings) for you to take you pictures if you wish. More importantly, the ingredients tasted fresh (e.g. I could see behind the counter that they had fresh avocados ready to be cut and served). I tried the spicy salmon and spicy tuna for my bowl - fish was fresh and tasty as well! I must also add that I really enjoyed the crab salad, seaweed salad, and spicy mayo that I added to my bowl. Bonus: if you check-in on Yelp, you get a free soda! A highlight was definitely the service! Such friendly staff, polite as well. I'm from out of town but I'd definitely visit again.

I really love the Poke bowls here and I love that they are now on Uber Eats! We have enjoyed the make your own Poke bowls (our favorite) and the Hibachi chicken and steak (just ok, in my opinion). The Poke is the star of the show here and I would recommend you making your own! We will definitely be back to the restaurant and would order again through Uber Eats. Great experience.

Hands down the best Poke Bowl I've had in Tampa so far. Why does this side of town have all the flavor! I drive out here to eat all the time. Damn USF kids get everything! :) I just really like poke on its own with out rice and all the extras...the way I've Eten it all my life. However the new poke bowl craze has taken over and I feel that these bowls are made the right way. The sauces complement the fish which is the most important component of poke. I was thrilled to get fresh tuna, baby octopus and black rice in my poke bowl here. I don't think I've seen all the toppings you can get here anywhere else. That alone makes Poke Express unique and worth a drive to Fowler.

Great poke, served up by some very friendly people. The two-protein bowl ($9) was a little smaller than I'm used to, but it was still plenty for lunch. They don't have a lot of protein options here, but the variety of mix-ins and toppings makes up for it, including a couple of rare items like red cabbage and pickled bamboo shoots. I tried the spicy poke sauce, and it was great (thankfully; sometimes I have a hard time picking sauces). The bowl came with miso soup (always a nice addition, but seldom offered), and Yelp check-in got me a free drink, so all-in-all it was a very reasonably priced and satisfying meal.

Love love love this place way better than the other poke spot 10 minutes down the road. The service was excellent and super helpful and the signs for what was what were so easy to follow. My poke bowl had tons of toppings and I loved all of the textures and flavors. I had the shrimp, salmon, and tempura shrimp. Some of my fave toppings are the seaweed salad, crab salad, edamame, mango, and pineapple. They had fun crunchy options and I loved crunchy garlic, toasted seaweed, and wonton strips. I loved the spicy poke sauce and the wasabi mango. This place had the most options and the price of my bowl was way cheaper than other places. I also checked in a got a free drink. What also makes this place even better is they have food for my non poke bowl eating hubby. Their hibachi noodle chicken had GREAT flavor and was a good amount of chicken and veggies with noodles. Win Win!!!

I was greeted upon entering and seated at a table immediately -- it took a few minutes for someone to come by my table and take an order, but they answered all of my questions. My order consisted of: 1. Unsweetened iced tea. Likely from the soda fountain but decent. 2. Pork dumplings. Served hot and steamed. The pork is well seasoned and very tasty. . 3. Duck noodle soup, ordered for an egg allergy and not spicy. So let's talk about this duck soup. First of all the broth is not that salty, but has a lot of good flavor. The noodles are perfectly cooked and the vegetables are fresh! The duck is is very very good. Some may find the duck is not tender enough however I really happen to like it. One thing other folks may not like is the fact that the duck comes partially on the bone. At least you know it's freshl! If you order this, make sure to take your time with the pieces of duck! All in all a great spot for a solid meal made to order!

After being here a few times, Jubao Noodle Bar is where it's at and truthfully do fine by itself without the casino. So at this point, you should already know that Jubao Noodle Bar is located within the Seminole Hard Rock Casino & Hotel - Tampa. However, it should be recognized that navigating the casino floor does get frustrating. The easiest point of reference is to first understand that the base casino floor is essentially separated into two parts (Part one is where the curved escalators and hotel towers are at and part 2 is the larger part, containing the Hard Rock Cafe and the majority of the table games). Jubao Palace Noodle Bar is located right after the point where the hall from part one connects to part 2. Clear as mud right? Now that you've successfully navigated here, it should be noted that the line and wait can get ridiculous. Not sure if there are specific times when it gets super busy, but it seems like it doesn't die down after lunch hours hit. The small size and amount of tables doesn't necessarily accommodate to the traffic. Be prepared to wait. Speaking of tables, there are several regular tables that seat up to 4 patrons, however the majority of the seating are high tops and bar seating. Don't be alarmed if you get paired at the high tops with other random patrons. The menu itself is very simple, but I can assure you that you can't really go wrong with any of the choices. My "go-to's" are usually the roast duck noodle soup (with egg noodles) and any of the fried rice (crab is the best though). They do offer snow pea leaves which is a Cantonese cuisine classic. It's a great restaurant that is overshadowed by the venue that it's located in.

My latest birthday he picked Hales Blackbrick as he knew I never had dim sum before so thought a nice dinner with higher end dim sum would be just the trick. Walking into the place was a little crazy for me because I had been to that location when it was previously owned by others and I could still see some of the same things from before, though I gotta say, for turning it into a high end restaurant, some of the things they left should have been removed to fit the setting and price point. We started out with their family tradition egg rolls that is over 100 years old. We did the dim sum tower as we figured that would be the best way to try multiple styles and then we ordered the fried rice, which Ben knowing me knew I'd rather have it with the lobster option BUT I actually was fine without it because that would mean the fried rice would have been $50.00, but since it was my birthday, he ordered it anyway. Now, since I had not had dim sum before I am not sure if it was just theirs or if all are like this but ours were very watery when we would bite into them. I basically held up a small plate under my chin so that I didn't get any juice on my face or clothes. Didn't seem right to me and even Ben mentioned it and I know he has had them a few times. Also, out of the 3 different styles we got, it was difficult to make out which one was which as they were pretty bland. The rice was good but the small meat of the lobster tail was not worth the extra costs they charged for it and as I thought, the plain rice would have been fine with me. The best part about my evening was obviously my date and his thoughtfulness he put into planning our evening out.
