Truly one of my favorite places in NYC! I've been to the one in the upper east side quite a few times but first time at the TSQ location. Service was exceptional. Seated us promptly on a Tuesday around 5:30pm. The staff were friendly and quick. The ambiance is very cute! Smaller location and it is clean and well decorated. Truly appropriate for any occasion. The food is so fresh and big portions.

I love this place so much. I order from them all the time. It's such a cute interior and the food is delicious always fresh always delicious. I recommended to everyone who comes. It's a beautiful interior as well. Definitely recommend it! I love their lunch special

Green Shakshuka

It had been a while since my dining companion and I visited our 'Happy Hummus Place' on 9th Avenue in Hell's Kitchen. While we're making fewer trips into the city these days, our return for a pre-theater lunch proved that Hummus Kitchen hasn't missed a beat -- in fact, we both agreed that they've stepped up the entire experience. The Kosher Israeli food is fresher and tastier than ever. The Green Shakshuka off the Brunch menu was a standout, featuring a rich, spiced tomato sauce topped with fresh baby spinach and two perfectly poached eggs. A major highlight to me was the swap from the traditional pita bread to a mini challah bread for dipping. The bread's sweetness perfectly complemented the savory stew. We finished with Turkish coffees and the Kitchen Kadaif, which was absolutely incredible. It's hard to believe it's dairy-free with a combination of shredded phyllo, rich halva, and shredded coconut that's the perfect balance of texture and sweetness. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing, ensuring we were out with plenty of time for our show at Studio 54. If you're looking for an authentic Mediterranean hidden gem in Midtown, this remains a must-visit.

Free lunch from work - Chraime salmon lunchbox w/ pita: 7/10, I liked the hummus quality, and the pita and salad were yummy. The salmon was flavorful and tender but a little too sour for me

Hummus Kitchen was a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, with beautiful decorations and pictures of Israel that added a special touch. We started with the Meze Trio, which was absolutely to die for. The hummus was amazingly tasty, with the perfect consistency and just the right amount of saltiness. The beet and lentil salad was outstanding, and the dressing complemented the flavors perfectly. The vegetarian couscous was delicious and full of flavor. And more, the falafel was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Every dish was prepared well! We will definitely be coming back for more!

True Mediterranean food. My Israeli boyfriend approves. It was delicious. Went for lunch and the prices are good for what you get. They have Israeli beer options as well. I got a sangria and it was super refreshing. Server was super cute and friendly, good service. Inside is super cute. For dessert we got Malabi which is a Mediterranean flan, super yummy. Highly recommend. Loved it.

What an amazing experience . Food , service & quality Mike was amazing he made our day ! We will be back soon :)

The falafel laffa wrap was absolutely delicious. The falafel wasn't crispy anymore but the flavors were so good and the vegetables were fresh. Would definitely recommend this place for a casual lunch.

Hummus Kitchen was so good! I'm visiting New York and wanted Mediterranean food, and this place did not disappoint. I ordered the humshuka which I have never had before and it was amazing!! The pita bread was so fluffy and tasty and was great paired with the hummus and poached egg it came with. This was part of their brunch prix fix menu, so it came with the appetizer trio that included grape leaves and cauliflower. The cauliflower sauce was amazing and paired well with the zest of the cauliflower. I wasn't the biggest fan of the grape leaf one but that's a personal preference. Lastly, our server Joanna was amazing!

This was an audible to our original plans for dinner and I was so glad we came to Hummus Kitchen for dinner. Awesome quaint restaurant with minimal but effective decor. Loved the restaurant logo on the wall made from cement grout. Service was also wonderful. We ordered chicken shawarma tacos, veggie hummus, and my chicken shawarma platter with rice. All the food was delicious. Have to say the standout was the hummus with veggies. The roasted beets were incredible. The seasoning on them was so good. My wife and daughter who are normally not adventurous eaters loved eating here.

Really enjoyed brunch here since you get a mezze trio with your main dish. Also, there's some interesting brunch dishes that aren't on the regular menu. Such great Israeli food! Fava Mazze: Hearty beans and nice sauces. A really substantial appetizer. Cauliflower: Roasted and lightly pickled. It was decent, but it's still cauliflower. Stuffed Grape Leaves: Really loved how this got fancied up with fresh pomegranate seeds and a tangy herbal sauce. Plus, tasted fresher than those really dense grape leaves that are made a long time ago. Humshuka: This was the perfect choice for me. I wanted to taste the shakshuka, but I also wanted the signature hummus. This was mainly hummus, with some nice tomato stew swirls. The egg on top was kinda weird though since it wasn't runny, just pasty. But egg aside, great for sopping up with the fluffy fresh pita breads.

Falafel LBox

Excellent food, one of the best falafels in town, and definitely the best Shug (spicy but delicious dip for those who love it, a must-have). The service is super friendly and welcoming, but not "hovering". The ambiance is very cool, authentic, and cozy. The meal was very satisfying and definitely more than enough: freshly fried falafel, fluffy baked pita, and freshly chopped salad. I just tasted the majadara because I am not a rice lover, but it was well seasoned and well done. And don't judge the glass of wine in the middle Of the day. It's very European :) In short: come hungry, leave happy.

The place wasn't busy during lunch time but busy during dinner time. Amazing service and delicious food! The food was fresh and came out fast. Lunch specials are $21.95 for 2 courses while dinner specials are $36.95 for 4 courses. I had the Eggplant with Tomato Sauce and Beets as the first course and Lamb Adana Kebab as Entrée. Lamb Adana Kebab comes with salad, which I can't have since it's cold and raw, but they were able to accommodate me and replaced salad with more rice. I had Kabak Tatlısı, which has a nice sweet taste and is healthy. All were delicious, also gluten free, dairy free and soy free. Plus, the Turkish Tea as the fourth course was a great pair with my meals. Their menu offers a variety of choices, including options that are gluten free, dairy free, and soy free. I would definitely come back and suggest you give this place a try if you are in Hell's Kitchen or Columbus Circle.

You can tell immediately that everything is fresh. For the main course, we had a platter that came with steak, chicken, and lamb chops, and everything was cooked to perfection. The flavors and seasoning were top-tier. For dessert, we had the warm baklava, which was absolutely delicious with every bite. If you have kids, don't worry--they also have an appetizer that's similar to a mozzarella stick that was absolutely delicious. I just can't remember the name of it! They play all types of music, and even though the space is big, the personal and intimate connection with the employees is what really made the experience special. The manager, Joselyn, was incredibly warm and welcoming. Our waitress, Vivian, was on top of every single request. Bravo! I only wish I had been able to meet the chef because I would personally shake their hand. The food was truly amazing. This is definitely a place where you could throw a birthday party, have a professional dinner, or simply enjoy a beautiful night out with your wife. It has all the qualities of a great restaurant, and I feel like NYC is starting to lose sight of that kind of hospitality. Eating here honestly reminded me of my travels to Egypt. The hospitality was A1. BRAVO! And I can't forget the bartender--he definitely knows what he's doing!

First of all, why do they put the hostess stand in the street and make you wait outside to be brought inside? It creates a ridiculous bottleneck. Why not hire another hostess at night to help? Also, they position themselves as a moderately priced restaurant with most entrees $40 plus. I've never been out of there for less than $200 for two (with wine). Lastly, and very importantly, every time i've been there and asked for my leftovers to take home, the server will ultimately just throw a couple of boxes and a bag on table and walk away. Here's a message to every restaurant that charges you $40 for an entree: it is the server's job to wrap up your leftovers. This is not Applebees or Chiles. If you want a 20% tip on a $200 bill, do your job!

Lesson learned: if you're going with a group, make sure you have your final number when making the reservation because adding someone later may not be possible. We started with the Mezzi Filistini, a mixed platter of babaganoush, muhammara, tabbouleh, salata, tahini and labneh. This was very good, and we tackled it with zest, devouring it with the accompanying pita bread. We also ordered the falafel, chicken shawarma platter and beef kebab platter. The chicken shawarma was decent, but I would have loved more chicken and bigger pieces. There was considerably more rice than chicken, which made the platter feel a little unbalanced. The beef kebab was better, with a good portion of meat and rice, and the accompanying vegetables weren't too bad either. One disappointment for me was the lack of a proper hot sauce. Something with a little heat and flavor would have paired really well with both the shawarma and kebab and, for me, would have elevated the meal. Overall, the food was good and the ambiance was pleasant. Service was also good for the most part, although I was disappointed that we weren't asked if we were interested in dessert before wrapping up the meal. Al Badawi is probably a place I would try again, but not one I'm in a rush to return to anytime soon.

The hours at the Flatiron location are 2-5 PM and I highly suggest arriving early. I will say it started off a little disappointing. I arrived at 2 PM and the place was packed. There were some seats at the bar but the hostess stated I could not sit unless my whole party (one other person) was present. So I waited. When my friend arrived there did not seem to be any available seating and we waited even longer. I saw other guests being seated before us and the hostess stated their party was present before mine. Finally, we were seated at the back bar (where food is prepped) after a 10 minute wait. The vibe was very cool and Mediterranean. Patrons leisurely sipping cocktails and eating Lebanese styled mini plates of eye catching delights. I was impressed with the golden silverware. It gave the place setting a very elegant touch. The ambiance was again a Mediterranean vibe with low wattage lighting, plants and basic tables and chairs. Definitely a minimalist environment that was giving Greek cafe on an island in the Aegean or Ionian Seas. Restaurant was sizeable for Manhattan and had sidewalk seating. We had several of the friendly wait staff serving us. Initially, we ordered margaritas. I must say for the $5.00 happy hour special they were very yummy. Definitely could taste they had alcohol. I expressed only a minimal amount of ice in mine as I sip slowly and do not like a watered down drink. It was perfect. I ordered a flat bread and a summer watermelon salad. My friend had the chicken shwarma and the salmon skewers. She was very happy with her order and the food looked plentiful. I really enjoyed my salad but felt the flat bread fell short of the $5.00. It was a quarter slice of a round pita with maybe a teaspoon of tomato sauce and a minute drizzle of cheese. It was mostly bread and not something I would order in the future. We did have a second round of drinks. I ordered mine again with a very tiny amount of ice. Unfortunately, it was served with an entire glass of ice. This showed that the wait staff dropped the ball on my order preference. Although I kept the drink with no complaints, be aware that staff are not as focused on customer satisfaction. I did use the bathroom while there and am grateful it was fairly clean. They did have designer hand soap which always elevates the experience. There were some spots on the tiles and floor that could use some maintenance. My experience here was a B+ and I would patronize the eatery again. I believe I would try the West Village location and compare. Definitely cannot beat the price of $5.00 Happy Hour items. I feel like it was reminiscent of the 90's.
