Brunch comes with a variety of all of the appetizers: GRAVLAX SALMON - With garlic aioli, mustard and dill WARM GRILLED EGGPLANT - Topped with concentrated tahini, scallion and silan CAULIFLOWER - Fried with fresh squeezed lemon juice and tahini GRAPE LEAVES - Stuffed with Basmati rice. Served in tahini mint dressing, dill and pomegranate MASABAHA - Slow cooked chickpeas with tahini, garlic and chilly flax LEMONY CABBAGE - With sesame oil and roasted black sesame CONFITURE - Onion and pear jam We got the hummus shakshuka and the kitchen Benedict to share. These were both UNREAL! The salmon with the bread and potatoes were the perfect mixture & seasoned perfectly! The shakshuka + hummus + poached egg (DONT forget its in the middle) and the fluffy warm pita really did it for me. Decided to give this place a shot, I been seeing it around Instagram. I must say the food was truly spectacular. We had a reservation set for 7pm, and it seemed busy from the outside , but they had our table reserved. We did the Mazze Trio which includes and 3 Appetizers or small bites you would say . Went with Hummus , Babaganoush and Falafel. Only thing I found a bit strange was that it only came with a single pita. Two out the 3 appetizers were like dips and a split pita didn't cut it . But they brought another one right away when I asked for it. We got a bit full from it and decided to order just a single entree as it seems like a huge portion . We have done carry-out from here multiple times, and each time the food is fresh and tasty! They are a bit slow in getting orders ready, so plan in advance if you're doing carry out. It is well worth the wait though! We've tried the falafel laffa, chicken laffa (husband only, but he said he liked it), pita tacos and the chickpea hummus. I just had a delicious soup that had a lot of squash and some potatoes in it. It was delicious and it really warned me up on a cooler rainy day. Now I'm about to have the Maya salad which is very colorful with the red onions, red beets, greens, and tomatoes in it. I love the little wooden tables here they are very cute and not wobbly being that they have a cast-iron legs at the bottom of them. Also, I am near the window and I see the word love and the window and rainbow colors gives me a warm feeling inside again on a slightly chilly rainy day. read more

The food is good. That said, after some recent changes, I don't plan on coming back. The lunch menu has increased in price by over 30% since 2021. Inflation is high, but not that high, so that doesn't justify the change in prices whatsoever. The service in general is also very poor and rough, the restaurant is understaffed. ETA: The owner tried to clarify with me that the increase was $1-2. However, I was paying $15 in summer 2022 and $20 in 2024 for lunch special, over 30% increase. read more

This review is strictly for takeout food. Let me begin by saying, I absolutely love shawarmas! From carts to mom and pop shops to big chain restaurants, I've definitely tried a lot of them. But this was as far as it could be in terms of taste. Sure , everyone has a way of preparing them, but I'm not sure how I can justify calling this a shawarma. The chicken lacked seasoning and char (something you associate with a shawarma), the entire thing only tasted of turmeric and lacked salt. The pickles that came with it tasted like cucumbers cooked in turmeric water (not your usual vinegary briny taste). The only saving grace was the hummus. The $16 price tag barely justifies the taste. This order left a bad taste in my mouth (literally). I usually don't like berating a place but this was downright bad. I really hope it was a one off situation. read more

This spot was kind of all over. When I walked in there was spanish music on and I thought it was a middle eastern type place. The decor is simple and it has a fun vibe in there. As for the food, I told them no pickles with my falafel laffa but they did not listen. I couldn't eat it and I even asked before I took the order! The charred beets with walnuts werent bad but not my favorite beet preparation. I will say this is some of the best hummus you will have. It is creamy and the flavor is perfect. The pita that comes with it is warm and pillowy. So good and they are nice people in here. We sat in the outdoor structure they built for the pandemic and enjoyed the food minus the pickle mishap. All the searches (google, yelp) of hummus/falafel places near Grand Central/Times Square led us straight into this place and that's how I decided to try their lunch. I was having a late lunch and it was off time (around 3PM) and I think apart from us, there was 1 more table occupied. Yet, our order took almost 20 minutes to come. May be they are preparing everything fresh hence the delay. The menu looked interesting and there were a few options for vegetarians. I got their free hummus through yelp check in, it was very tasty just like the soft and fluffy pita came along with it. I ordered a cauliflower dish and it was too greasy. The falafel is the best I've had - crispy on the outside, not dry and super flavorful. Their pita is soft & fluffy, but not too thin so it still holds all the toppings together so it's not a messy meal. The cauliflower is on the oilier side, but delicious nonetheless. It saddens me to write a bad review but unfortunately I did not have a great experience here. There are much better alternatives if you are looking for authentic cuisine. The food tasted bland and just something was off about it- couldn't put my finger on it. Hummus had a grainy/chalky consistency, and I have no idea how you could make hummus like that. Service was slow and the waitress was rude and condescending when I asked simple questions. The inviting ambiance played me well and I thought I would have a good time here but it figuratively and literally left a bad taste in my mouth.
