The so called salt and pepper wings, covered in old bay seasoning. Both sauces were also garbage.
Michael C.

I genuinely wish Yelp allowed negative stars because this place earned less than zero. From the second we walked in, the experience was hostile and uncomfortable. Our server, Samantha D., vaguely told us to "sit at this table" with absolutely no direction or professionalism. We sat at a nearby table that seemed more accommodating, and instead of handling it politely, she immediately became rude, loud, and dismissive. Her attitude throughout the entire meal made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, like customers were an annoyance to her. The food was just as terrible as the service. The fries were drowned in so much salt they were practically inedible. The "salt and pepper" wings tasted nothing like advertised and were completely covered in Old Bay seasoning. Every sauce we tried was awful and tasted cheap and bland. What made the experience even worse was the cleanliness and several plates brought to our table were visibly dirty. There is absolutely no excuse for serving food on dirty dishes. Between the rude service, uncomfortable atmosphere, filthy plates, and badly prepared food, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've ever had. We will never be returning, and I would strongly recommend people spend their money literally anywhere else. Especially since this place will automatically close out your tab and give your server an automatic 20% tip.

Breakfast plate

The breakfast sampler was $26.50 (added bacon for $4.50). The eggs are powdered eggs. I'm not sure any of it was edible other than the English muffin, maybe. The service is slow. You'll scan a QR code to order, but you do have a server. He was fairly attentive to our drinks/refills. Our kids got a breakfast sandwich, which was $16 and because we substituted bacon for the candied bacon it came with, it was another $4.50. There's not many options in the C gate sections, but I would walk to another area before I ate here again. Seating is fairly tight quarters with limited charging available.

Carrots n a skinny marg

Another 2hr layover. Another desperate hunt for a halfway decent spot to kill time. Enter Humble Pie. I've been using "traveling" as an excuse to eat garbage, so I decided to reel it in a bit and look for something healthy. Scanned the menu saw lots of temptation, not much in the "virtue" department until I noticed the chicken wings came with carrots and celery. So I asked for just a side of carrots. Simple, right? But they were actually good. Fresh, crisp, and DELICIOUS. I ended up eating plates of them like it was a personal challenge. Then, because moderation deserves a reward, I ordered a skinny margarita. It hit the spot, light, tart, and knocked the edge off for my next flight. All in all, Humble Pie was a solid layover win. Chill spot, good vibe, and they didn't act weird about me basically ordering a mountain of carrots. Would definitely come back for round 2. Major props to Elizabeth for making my carrot dreams come true:)

Eating my pizza on the flight

Waited a bit over 30 minutes for my pizza (Pepperoni), but the pizza itself was actually really good! The dough was fluffy and the cheese reminded me of lunchables pizza (which I absolutely love). I was pushing my boarding time with the wait but glad the pizza came out delicious

Nice venue. Convenient to the C1-9 gates. Convenient QR code menu and ordering. Lovely breakfast sandwich with candied bacon, scrambled eggs, cheese and spicy mayo with crispy potatoes on the side. Excellent service by Jennifer. It took a while to be seated, but all good after that.

Needed to get some food before our flight. Not much in the C terminal. Picked this place. Really busy. We had to wait for a table. The server was nice. We both got pizzas. She got the cheese one and I got the Margarita. Both were just ok. Nothing special but made us full. Airport food...

Carnitas hash, but without the carnitas (as requested) lol

Had an early flight out of Phoenix and my husband wanted to get breakfast before our long flight. Humble Pie was one of the few places open in our terminal, so it was pretty packed. We had to wait a little to get seated, and they weren't letting anyone sit at the bar since it was still breakfast time. Once we finally got a table, we noticed there was only one server handling the whole place. She was really friendly and hustled hard. The breakfast menu was pretty limited. Since I don't eat meat, I went for the carnitas hash but asked for it without the carnitas, so it ended up being just eggs and potatoes. It was okay, but I bet it would've been tastier with the meat. The portion was huge, and I couldn't even finish it. I can't remember what my husband got, but he said he liked his entree.

Seats! They all looked like this. Who wants your legs scratched up with rough pleather?!
Michelle W.

5 stars for service however 3 stars for food. Seats need to be changed out, not a good feeling to fall deep in a wooden hole and scratch your legs on torn up rough pleather. The floors were extremely slippery so be careful.

James the bartender is fast- but you can tell he's done it forever and he's over it. I said hi first. He didn't bring me a water until the second time I asked. He was just efficient and on the slightly quick/short/rude side to all guests. The pizza was barely ok. Marg add mushrooms felt very underwhelming. Mich ultra was obviously fine in a bottle. Maybe the qr code on the bar to order should just be the only method of ordering if the bar team isn't going to be welcoming. I don't think I'll sit at the bar here again- and I travel weekly. I say thank you and he says nothing. He does say sir and ma'am so at least there's manners in the robot. DiBummer. Oh and an update. He's on shift change and made sure to close us all out- which is Normal but like... you could've given better service if you were going to claim the tip. He wasn't happy I asked for a separate ticket for food. Had to get a manager who didn't exist the entire visit. The new bartender is bummed "Sam" left him alone last night with a dirty restaurant fyi. Hope he's enjoying his Starbucks cup behind bar while he's oblivious. Bummmmmer.

The food tasted amazing, the staff was super kind and efficient, and the environment was very relaxed. It was a great place to do some homework while waiting for my flight home.

Pork carnitas & eggs (with home fries w/variety of potatoes)
Sam H.

Headed out for some business meetings and decided to grab a bite to eat for breakfast. I ordered their pork carnitas & eggs, that is served on top of home fries with various potatoes. The waitress to served me was very friendly, quick and professional. Everything was prepared/served quickly and tasted good. If you are lucky enough to have your departing gate in this area and you are hungry, check them out. The do offer their pizzas for breakfast too. It's about a medium size location with a good amount of bar seating, along with table tops & counter style seating.

Margarita Pizza
Stacy M.

Overall, pizza is pretty good - especially for airport food. Service was friendly and the to go pizza came out within 16 minutes and was steaming hot. Price was $19.01 for a personal margarita pizza only, not terrible for airport food (but still high way robbery like all airport food prices). I could have split the personal size pizza with another person but not likely doable for a hungry grown man. I will say, the pizza had a lot of cheese - too much for my liking but was easy to pick some off. I can't speak to the ambiance as I took mine to go and didn't eat in the restaurant.

Surprisingly good pizza for an airport. Service at the bar was great! Atmosphere is typical to and airport bar / lounge.

Service is really, really slow and the bartenders are awful. They measured all wine in the same container. Blend anyone?

I need to call them for a copy of a receipt. Do they have a phone number? I can't find one anywhere!

I cant find it either, maybe try calling one of their other locations (Chandler restaurant is not far from the airport one- 480.307.9412) and they might have it? I do see a Customer Care # at the bottom of receipts too you could try 877-325-8777

The recommendations were spot on, exactly the kind of insider knowledge that makes you feel like you're in good hands. Never had to wait for anything, and Max had a way of checking in at just the right moments without being intrusive. One of those servers who reminds you why going out is so much more than just drink. But, if you're looking for a really cool bar, KWSC is for you. I stopped by on a week day evening around 8:30 p.m. Located in Roosevelt Row, while there isn't parking, I found free parking on the street a few minutes away on foot. Ambiance (4.5/5): My type of spot. Dimly lit with a speakeasy vibe. There are eight or so seats at the bar, and the rest of your seating options consist of comfortable chairs and sofas. You'll see a lot of photos of people's bums on the walls lol. This is indeed part of the appeal. For free, if you would like, they will take a polaroid of your butt and memorialize you eternally on the walls. While I didn't do that, if that's up your alley, go for it. Service (2/5): This is the main area of improvement. After being seated, I was greeted promptly and got my first cocktail promptly. From there, things fell apart. I had to grab the bartender's attention to order my second drink and to close out. It was a week day and they weren't busy. And there were two bartenders. A lack of attentiveness. When I closed out, I noticed that the cocktails were both $2 more expensive than what was listed on the menu. When I inquired, I was told that the menus were outdated... umm what? If you're not going to re-print your menus, give people a heads-up when they arrive. I understand that most people won't notice, but this is deception. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet. If you're trying to eat here, all they have is snacks. The menu doesn't specify but I'm thinking it's probably chips or somethign like that. Drinks (4/5): A lengthy, and interesting, cocktail list. Similar to a speakeasy, you're going to see creativity and an interesting blend of flavors here. The most popular drink is Fuck Nazis. We're seeing a theme here. KWSC is an interesting spot. For various dollar amounts, you can get funny things outside of the polaroids of your bum. My first cocktail was great. My second one, a tiki drink, not so much. The menu said that there would be some flame action happening. It didn't. Just another example of the service falling short. If the service were better, Killer Whale Sex Club would easily be a five-star experience.

Only downside is that…read morefor some reason Apple maps was not accurate to finding the location and parking was a challenge as it is right on Roosevelt Row. However as soon as I found it and immediately after entering Pretty Penny I was transformed to the cutest little restaurant. I was greeted immediately and had made a reservation so even though my friend hadn't arrived yet, they sat me down. They instantly offered water and menus (food and cocktail). I noticed that the menu seemed very small and the dishes were shareable -- I don't eat meat so I was hoping my friend wouldn't mind sticking with fish and seafood (which she didn't). As soon as I got to my table there was the cutest sign that said welcome to Sarah Sherman and guest -- it was such an adorable and personal touch, I loved that! As soon as my friend got there we immediately both ordered the cold brew old fashioned -- we thought about the espresso martini but this just sounded too good to pass up -- and we were not disappointed! This drink was so tasty and strong. We immediately ordered the bread (sourdough boule) to soak up some of the alcohol as well as some oysters and the salsa. The oysters were so well spiced and were absolutely delicious. But the bread, the bread, the bread -- the server mentioned that it took almost 9 months to develop the bread recipe and it served. It was the best bread and butter that I think I have ever had! The salsa was good but probably was my least favorite of everything and it was still super yummy. We then moved on to the octopus tostadas. Sometimes octopus is not my fav -- it can be too chewy but this was so amazing and incredibly flavorful. It was starting to be my favorite dish until we ordered the Hamachi -- OMG!! Talk about a mouth orgasm-- both my friend and I were yummming it up -- but seriously this bite was so complex with different flavors coming up with every chew -- it has coriander candied peanuts, fermented pineapple, avocado, pickled fresno, toasted coconut and aji amarillo yogurt -- The server mentioned that this was the chef's least favorite dish which I totally do not understand because this was off the charts in my book. We also tried the earl gray whiskey sour, which was light and delicious, and ended with the shrimp toast and the espresso martini. By the way the toast on the shrimp toast was like a little fried dough triangle -- sooooo gooood! The martini was good but the cold brew old fashioned really stole the spotlight for me. Other details I loved that just elevated the experience: Purse hook (very important to me), the little trays for your utensils, metal coasters, incredibly attentive servers, fantastic music, great ambiance and the cutest was the penny they put on top of your check. So cute -- was not expecting such an enjoyable all around experience!! Will be back 1000%!!!
