I don't normally write breakfast reviews, but the meal here was awful, one of the worst breakfast meals I've had, especially considering the price ($117 after the tip) Went here for breakfast a few weeks ago with my boyfriend. The drinks were the only good thing we had, and even those were just okay. We ordered two plates of eggs Benedict, and the waiter had the audacity to bring out dry, scrambled eggs on toast. They brought out a dried cinnamon roll that they put in the microwave and charged $11 for it. The waitress was sweet, but the breakfast food was awful. I have no idea how dinner is, but this place left such a sour taste in my mouth that here I am, writing a review about it 3 weeks later. read more

I'm so disappointed to write this. Humble Bistro has been our favorite restaurant since Sierra Bonita closed after Covid. The place is beautiful and the food amazing. We always sit at the beautiful bar and sip delicious cocktails. We would visit this place at least once a week for a couple of years. Watching bartender Johnny mix drinks to perfection. Chatting with one of the managers who is always so bubbly and sweet. Service and food have steadily gone downhill over the past couple of months. I'm not sure what has caused the change but it's obvious. Johnny the best bartender in the valley left. He would always make sure our food was cooked to perfection. He knew how we liked our favorite dishes. The cocktails taste completely different. No taste to be exact. I constantly have to ask for modifications because the Paloma's and margaritas are sour with no sweetness. The old fashioned which was a favorite are made with whiskey ice cubes now. Not good at all. Unfortunately Last night will be the last time I visit. The "bartenders" were totally inattentive. We had to get up and walk over to get their attention. Drinks were not good and 2 of thr "bartenders" Looked miserable and not weren't friendly at all. Whatever changed, please change it back. I'll be back faithfully!! My wife and I had an excellent dinner with terrific service (Victor) last night at this location. Fortunately, we got seated on patio (upon request). We could have a decent conversation outside. Probably will never return, nor recommend to others, as music was so loud it was obnoxious. Since reservations are not taken for the patio, no sense in hoping there are empty tables outside to avoid the obnoxious music inside. Start with the positive, cute spot on a great street to hang out with a great bartender. However, how can you call yourself a brunch spot and literally have NO coffee?????? I had to walk down the street and get a to go cup and bring it back. I mean seriously? And no grapefruit juice for the mimosa which is on their menu. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in the quality of the food and the service. We came for Sunday Brunch and were one of the first customers to arrive and yet we waited for about (10) minutes to get seated. The server was very pleasant but once our food was delivered, we never saw her again. Had to flag her down twice for utensils and water. I ordered the Carne Benny, which did not have any flavor and the hollandaise sauce did not have any chipotle flavor as advertised. I would have asked for salt if our waitress would have ever come back. Both the Benny and the potatoes were cold. There was no way that the English muffin was homemade. They charged $18.00 for a glass of red wine, which I think is kind of pricey. As it was a recommendation by the bartender, she probably should have advised on the price point. The food is a notch or two above any Bar and Grille place in the valley, and the service is impeccable, and easy to look at. The music and decor are reminiscent of a Speakeasy meets upscale Coffeehouse. Then add a very delicious, upscale cuisine. Great Sunday brunch! They scramble the eggs for every dish, including bennies, which is actually smart on their part because I can't remember the last brunch restaurant that got our eggs right (over hard should not be runny, people). Best English muffin I've had. Fig jam a nice touch. Breakfast potatoes were a mix of white, purple and sweet but were deep fried, which I'm not a huge fan of, but still decent. Nice patio space. I was at the high st location with my friends. The food was amazing, our food was great. Overheard the hispanic, black haired woman being rather verbally abusive towards our server. She messed up on one of our drinks and was treated very poorly. Not a place we'd ever want our son or daughter to be working at. The manager is abusive and we are no longer supporting this business. I would highly recommend any other restaurant then this one, not because of the food, the management does not care about the comfort of the customers. It was 115 degrees in Phoenix and we were seated at a table by the window and near the patio door. When we were seated the door was closed and we were comfortable. As the evening progressed the restaurant started filling up and one of the staff decided to open the door that was next to our table! I looked at my wife and the other couple that we were dining with and they had sweat rolling down their faces so I asked one of the staff if they would close the door so to make it more comfortable and I was told "the door has to remain open as the Bar has become very loud and they need to allow the noise to escape." I never heard that before....as the temp in the restaurant became unbearable the hostess from the front desk came over and closed the door for us. Again, another waitress flung the door open obviously irritated from the door being closed. When our waitress returned I ask if we could talk to the manager. When the manager came over she explained that the door needed to stay open for circulation reasons. 115 degrees temperature outside and with the door open the air conditioning could not keep the restaurant at a acceptable temperature. I was then told that I had disrespected the 1st waitress and they were closing out our tab which were perfectly fine with us as this was not a good experience and left going to The Keg at Desert Ridge and were served in a comfortable environment by staff that actually cared about the patrons read more

Do not go there with kids. They do not offer high chairs or booster seats. They do not mention this on their website. The reason is they say they do not have the room. Which I guess means keep your kids away. If that is your stance as a business it should be clearly stated on website. Save people their time. read more

My friends (6 of us) and i went there for dinner. Drink orders came out mixed up. Then waited to get the server to take our order. When the food came, it was all mixed up again. We had to pass around the food to the right person. One meal took much longer after 5 were served. When we were almost finished with dinner, we asked our waiter for another round of drinks. We were told another group was waiting for our table and needed to leave!!!! What - they do not take reservations. We got the bill and it was all wrong- had to have the waiter fix it before paying snd leaving. Manager just as unpleasant as the waiter. Hope they improve or go under. read more

I love this place. Yes, love is a strong word. The food is amazing. My favorite is the Maximus, Scottsdale blonde and the Tiramisu. This place has class and style, it's not ruined with TV screens but glows with Incandescent lights, music in different languages, high tables, wine bottles and great food. So a light bulb does not work without the energy and the Staff is the energy that brings this place to life. Im so happy when I walk in and see Tina, Erin, Phoenix and ALL of the staff, even the head cook came out one time just to say "Hi" like a friend. The Facts... It gets packed but!!! they will seat you fast so be patient. The Menu is not a couple pages long but they have a lot of variety. If you are carb conscious or just want to eat healthy they have great salads and their food is made from basic ingredients from scratch so its not heavy and you are not getting added fillers, oils, fats and sugars you would from a fast food place or sports bar. I would do a family night here and a date night, perfect date night! Also, don't come here because you are a critic come here because you are hungry!. The place is cozy. We went on a Saturday night and it was busy and pretty loud. Fyi, very hard to find parking, so I suggest leaving early so you don't lose your dinner reservation. Everyone is very friendly, make great recommendations and check in often. My only complaint is that they stopped taking American Express recently. I use my Amex card exclusively. I witnessed a young girl get her butt grabbed in the bathroom by a man. I was sitting near the doors at the bar and overheard what seems to be the manager (I am a regular) yelling in the back at employees. I have overheard from other employees that that girl was not supported and told it was her fault that she had her Butt grabbed. I am astonished, no owners or manager should ever treat their employees this way. Not okay. I am spreading the word to everyone I know about what I heard. From the atmosphere to the food to the staff, everything was amazing. We ordered a few drinks to get the night started as well as the bistro board and the board is absolutely gorgeous and so delicious. The wide spread has so many options, everyone at the table will find something they enjoy. I would recommend this board for 3-5 people. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Humble Bistro. I was immediately aroused by the swanky lounge vibe as we followed the hostess to our table. The wrap around patio outside was rather small, but they had the retractable glass doors wide open allowing the spaces to flow seamlessly together. Our server was friendly & attentive. We ordered "Those Camarones", "Humble Wings", "Humble Caesar" salad, & a "Classy Girl" pizza. Everything was delicious, but the "Humble Caesar" was my absolute favorite! The jalapeño caesar dressing was really tasty. The crispy brussels leaves on top were the perfect finishing touch! The pizza reminded me of eating pizza in Napoli, Italy. It was honestly that good! I can't wait to go back and try more items on the menu. What a phenomenal addition to City North! read more

We enjoyed the best service from Yahjaira which made our dining experience a delight. We ordered the scrumptious Gentleman Pizza which had just the right amount of sweet and spicy. I love this place. We sit at the bar and always get great friendly service. The meatballs are sooo good, possibly better than mine. The bread that comes with it warm tasty , sauce delicious . My husband loves the hummus we usually get one to go as well. Our favorite pizza is the gentleman. Happy hour is excellent. I love the lighting . Just an all around good place to go. Well they started out strong when opening last year but since being back several times, the food is modest at best. Very inconsistent pizza which often comes under cooked and very doughy and chewy. When you send it back-which We have done several times-it comes back the same. The least they can do is make sure the mozzarella is melted! The servers are inconsistent as well. Many do not pay attention to the fact that the table need silverware or there aren't extra plates to share. I also find myself usually getting up to take care of things myself. There are many great pizza places to choose from so hopefully they can pull themselves back together read more

My entire life is spent in recording studios with rock music at high levels, but the decibel level of music in this place is excessive and unsafe. Our server was great. I worry for her hearing and for the safety of the staff. This working environment, at sustained levels, can cause noise induced hearing loss. If I were only reviewing the food, Humble Bistro would gets 5 stars from me. The food is delicious, the service is great. But the music...it is incredibly loud. When we asked the waitress if it could be turned down we were told they weren't "allowed to turn it down because they want a certain vibe". All 6 of us were not able to carry on a conversation and at the table next to us the diners were yelling to be heard. Our ears were still ringing an hour after leaving. It's really too bad because we would go back in a heartbeat, but until we know the music is lowered we won't be there. read more
