This was my first experience eating a vegan burger and I didn't know what to expect! Fortunately, the lady taking my order was super helpful, friendly and explained the menu in detail. The vegan burger was purple, which might have been a turn off to some people but it was surprisingly delicious. It was packed with flavor! And I typically love and crave regular hamburgers but this was just as good if not better! The ambiance of Humanitree is also super cool - there are murals and tons of artwork as well as a seating area with records and books. I can't wait to go back for more! read more

I saw that their new location was open(right down the street from the old location) so I definitely wanted to stop by and check it out and also update my review. This location is GREAT. Its much more open and looks really nice on the inside. Everything is organized and setup nicely. The staff and owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. I haven't visited Humanitree in a while, but they had a few more food menu items now than I remember. I've tried several items over the past couple of days: Jackfruit BBQ Sandwhich w/ soul slaw and ChickUNPhilly w/ kale salad. I had never had Jackfruit BBQ before so it was different but good. The ChickUnPhilly was awesome. It was super flavorful and I'll definitely be getting it again. There are several other menu items that I'd like to try. They still offer the same great cold-pressed juices and smoothies as well. They also still hand write notes to customers which is a great touch. It's primarily street parking still so be prepared for a short walk if necessary. They also deliver during lunch hours, but I have not used this service. When I walked into Humanitree I immediately fell in love with the environment. It was so earthy and relaxed; a place I would love to spend lots of time. However, the menu wasn't very clear for someone who wasn't really familiar with the vegan diet. I ordered one of the fruit dishes and was really excited to try it. My lunch date received his burrito within 10 mins and it was really good (I definitely stole a few bites). However we both went up several times to find out when my food would be done. Each time they said they were working on it and that it'd only be a few more minutes. After sitting there for 47 minutes (yes i timed it), my date got up to ask again and they said it wasn't ready. He pointed to a dish that looked like what I ordered and it was my order. They let it sit on the counter because no one behind the counter could bother to figure out who it was for. I waited way to long for what I would call a fruit smoothie in a bowl. It was good but not worth a 47 minute wait. I wouldn't recommend due to the wait time, the price, and the confusing menu. read more

This isn't the type place that I would normally expect to walk away from thinking was so great but boy am I glad I gave it a fair shake. The juice blends are every bit as good as the food and the staff made me feel very comfortable. We were very excited about trying this place since we have heard so many great reviews. After we ordered straight off the menu with no changes to our order we found a seat. And then we waited, and waited, and waited. It took nearly 40 minutes to bring out two sandwich's, no sides with it, just a sandwich. There was never an apology for it taking so long, only an excuse to say that "all our food is made fresh". So I guess that means that those who ordered 10 to 15 minutes after us and received their food before us, didn't get the fresh food? And God forbid to ask for a glass of water, that only took 30 minutes for that. The only reason they have a 2 star rating is once we got the sandwich, it was really good. read more

Tried to support a black business he is very hard they usually a Roo rude to the black customers and they be so hospitable to the white customers I see it all the time. As a long time vegetarian I am very excited to have a restaurant focused on veg/vegan diet in town. Everything I have gotten from here has been great. The three stars come from the difficulty getting food. There are always numerous menu items or ingredients not available. My daughter always wants to order online take out from here but I just can't because there is no way you will get what you order. I gave up after placing a mobile pick up order, got the text that my order was ready, arrived and was told the "toona" was just being made (1:00pm) and it would be a 15 minute wait. I had to get back to work so I cancelled my order and ended up getting lunch from the vending machine. Consistency would bump this to a 5 star review. read more

So I'm pretty sad to have to leave this review. I've eaten at Humanitree House several times and while the food is consistently decent and the idea of it all is even better, the service is below unsatisfactory for several reasons. I am gluten free due to a food allergy. Humanitree claims to be allergy friendly specifically for gluten free patrons. However, there is only one gluten free bread option and recently I have run into them not even having that available. For someone who has to eat gluten free and that not being an option for most places, it's exciting to find somewhere that I can actually get a sandwich or a veggie burger and eat it on bread. The menu is inconsistent. It grew with the new location however recently shrank back down in option size. More than not, what we go looking for they are out of that day and that becomes very disappointing time after time. Although there are issues, I continue to support this local restaurant that is the only one of its kind. Learning about their delivery option, I got my coworkers in on it. Two days in a row we ordered food for delivery and two days in a row it was more than disappointing. The first day, a meal and a smoothie was left behind. The second day, we ordered at 11am for 2pm delivery. At 4pm the food still hadn't arrived. We were sent an apology email and given a refund which was nice. However, when you're advertising delivery to businesses, you must know how businesses run. When you have a lunch break scheduled, you have to eat during that time. That being said, it's unacceptable and it left a bad taste in the mouths of every coworker that even had to hear any complaints. Several people who were thinking of also trying it said that they would never try it and would take their money elsewhere. It's unfortunate the type of effects things like this can have on your business. I'm hoping they can get the kinks worked out soon, as this is not a new business. Maybe we'll try it once more, maybe we won't. read more

The focus here is on beverages-- juices, smoothies, and teas that taste good and are good for you. But they also serve food which is yummy too! The staff was knowledgable and informed me of what I could have an yes they have a gluten free bun but also bed of kale version of a burger and it was amazing. This is one of my favorite spots in Augusta. I could sit in there all day and probably get tons of schoolwork done. I hate driving downtown but Humanitree House is well worth it. I love the positive atmosphere and energy. A lot of the positive vibrations probably come from the crystal shop and the crystals throughout the place which I also love. This place is seriously amazing!! Food is great, but what puts this place above others is the incredible, attentive, and caring staff! If the great food doesn't bring you back here for more, i'm sure the wonderful staff will :) Pretty much everything i've had here has been amazing thus far. The vegan burger is different than most veggie burgers I have had, but in a good way. I am a HUGE veggie burger fan, and the vegan burger on the onion bun is definitely worth a try. I had mine with their kale salad which is to die for! I loved the kale so much, I got the spicy kale wrap during my next visit (also amazing). If you're looking for a cooler treat, the açaí bowl is also extremely flavorful. I've never had an açaí bowl before this one, so I have no comparison, but nonetheless, I think it's worth trying. I've had their iced chai as well, and I was pleasantly surprised at the subtle sweetness. I was worried that it would be overly sweet like the chais found at other chains, but this one did not make me feel guilty for indulging. Apart from this, they have a large selection of fresh juices and smoothies. With the great variety in their menu, there has to be at least one thing that you'll like here. If you're not already sold by the food, come here for the unique atmosphere, vibe, and friendly staff. Every time I have come here, there has been at LEAST one member of the staff who has tried to get to know me and genuinely cared that I make a food/drink decision that I would like. I can't say enough about this place. I love that it's entirely plant based. The juices can bring up the price of the meal, but that is what they are known for. Their juices are cold pressed daily, fresh, and have a nice array of flavors. For lunch, they have a beet burger that is very good. I don't even like kale that much but like their kale salad, and they have a dill potato salad that is delicious as well. There is also hand painted art on the walls created by the owner. It is bold and powerful to look at. They sell some jewelry that is crafted by local artisans, and I love when local businesses work together like that. I will definitely return again. read more

I have been here for juice before and loved it. Now that I'm trying to eat healthier, I've visited for the last two days. The veggie burger I had yesterday was great. My only complaint would be that the soft onion bun got a little wet from the dressing on the kale salad, which was AMAZING! The veggie burger was huge, as was the kale salad. So I had that for lunch and dinner. Today, I got the kale salad with the veggie patty and the recover juice. I'm in love with this place. The vibe here is relaxing.
