An outlier in Augusta, this is a reggae-infused vegetarian restaurant with other products being sold and ample space to sit. I happened in on a takeout deal, and I got their core veggie burger and a smoothie with spirulina. My smoothie was probably healthy, but nothing radical in the taste department. Their interpretation of a veggie burger is a soft, grilled pattie with a good variety of fixins (getting jalapenos was wise) and options to get all sorts of bread or a salad. This is largely a lunch place, which is why it's tough for me to get in during business hours, but it is certainly a worthy stop for any vegetarians/vegans visiting the area.

GO HERE!! Went to this place when in town for The Masters. Best vegan food I've ever had.

An amazing experience. I thought I'd be dropping in to a healthy spot for a quick bite. I was not expecting to be transported to a magical space full of delicious food, healing music, and majestic artwork. I ordered the spicy kale wrap and the soup of the day for my side. It was a delicious lentil, sweet potato, and kale soup...perfect for the rainy afternoon. Full of flavors and perfectly done veggies, it did not disappoint. And the wrap was fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend the spicy version. I had a golden monkey black iced tea and grabbed a ginger lemonade to go. Make sure to spend time admiring the work of owner and artist Baruti Tucker. He spent time with me sharing the stories behind his art. Each piece was a lesson and tribute of pain, compassion, healing, and humanity. You have to see his work! Awesome treasure in downtown Augusta!

I was in town for a job visit, and so my girlfriend and I went here for lunch. She's vegan, so we thought it would be a good way to see the downtown and get some lunch. It's definitely not a restaurant feel inside. Almost felt like a club/coffee house place. There's hand crafted jewelry for sale, local art, and a DJ playing music. My sandwich was decent, but the juice was great. I think the juices are the strength here. The owner of the place came by and asked how everything is and welcomed us to Humanitree. It's a cool spot, feels kind of out of sort with the country club feel that people normally associate with Augusta.

This place is awesome! The staff is so friendly and the food... so tasty and healthy! Great mix of soul music to jam out to while enjoying your meal too! Oh, and funky cool artwork everywhere! Definitely stop by for some vegan food, a juice or a smoothie!

My friends and I dropped by on a whim after doing the downtown mystery game. I enjoyed the vibes and how clean this place was. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a place to study or just enjoy some vegan food. I got the Matcha Maddness smoothie and it tasted pretty good. I hope to come back another day to try their other smoothies and food items.

What a amazing place in Downtown Augusta just to relax and chill. The atmosphere here is chill and peaceful and with enjoyable music while your there. It's not everyday that you find a great place like this one but definitely encourage you to try Humanitree House if you've haven't.

This is still One of my favorite places in Augusta to dine on vegan! Their menu selection is broad and their ingredients are fresh always. The service is definitely done with a smile. Although it is a walk up to the counter and order place it offers plenty of seating and a variety of options from comfortable chill spots to a quick counter dining.

I really wanted an açaí bowl and they were out of granola. That made me sad. But I did get the chocolate goddess smoothie, 2 cold pressed juices, and a kale salad to go. So far, so good! I hope next time to be enjoying an açaí bowl. The staff was super friendly and the place had a really cozy and trendy vibe. Love the giant bean bags and the groovy flute music. One thing I wish they would do is have the decomposable straws. For a place that seems very "earthly" I'd like to see them be more earth friendly.

Their Spicy Kale Wrap is off the chain! When I called in my order, I was told that their most popular sandwiches were the Chicken Un-philly and the Burger. But I didn't have a taste for a meat substitute so I ordered a Spicy Kale Wrap and added avocado. When I first bite into this wrap, I was blown away! The dressing on the kale is MAGICAL and the addition of peppers, red onions, and carrots was perfect. Also, its SPICY but spicy is good. You have to be able to handle a lot of spice to order the "Spicy Kale." But the menu says you can order is not spicy/mild. The price (over $9) was a little higher than I expected for a wrap with no meat and no meat substitute. But they did add a nice portion avocado which was an additional cost. Anyways, the wrap was so good that I almost turned the car around and ordered another one for tomorrow.. but I exercised self-restraint. This was definitely the best wrap I've ever had. And I eat meat.. so this is not just a restaurant for vegetarians, but rather a restaurant for all ppl who enjoy fresh feel-good food. Needless to say I am definitely looking forward to going back to Humanitree.

I came here for the food which I had before and I loved it. I'd been here on another occasion with a friend and I was not disappointed. This time however the music was so loud (early on a Saturday afternoon) that I couldn't hear myself think and there was literally no way to get away from it. Food = good. Noise = bad. This is not a club, it is a restaurant and juice bar. I enjoy music but if it is so loud that the counter person can't hear me take my order then it is just too much. Too bad because I was hoping to sit and enjoy myself on a Saturday afternoon. I might go back if I have a to-go order and a place to eat it but I certainly won't go out of my way anymore. read more

I walked from 12th St to get here, and the scenery definitely changes from the art row towards the smoke shop and theaters. I was having doubts until I saw the nice barber shop as I turned the corner to the juice cafe. The couple is very sweet and attentive. The husband is a talented artist that displays amazing work. The wife recommends great juices and answers questions about the menu and the jewelry on sale. I had the smoothies and it fixed me up after making bad eating choices. The flavor combinations are fantastic. I highly recommend giving them a try when you are adventurous to try natural vegan food. Now if only they can paint murals outside... read more

I really liked this place and went here so many times. I always had the Açaí bowl. The past three times they are not like they used to be. One time they gave it to me in a cup. Another time they run out of bananas and almonds, another time they switched up the container and was missing some fruits. I think they need to work on having the supplies they need. The last three times I was alittle disappointed. They need to tell you in advance before you place the order. Thanks I will still give them 3 stars just because don't want to ruin their reputation. I came here for lunch, and ordered a recovery smoothie which was divine! The nut butter made it super creamy and I love how their drinks are never too sweet. I had the crushed chickpea soup and a veggie burger on Ezekiel bread for lunch and they were on point. There was a bit of tahini in the soup and finding it was better than winning the lottery. The burger was house made, and fresh. I'm stuffed but I am considering ordering another to go as I type this just because it was so good. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally had the opportunity. Ordered their ChicUN Philly with a side kale salad online and it was all ready for me at the designated time to pick up. I'm not gonna lie, this was one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. The texture and taste was exactly that of a traditional Philly and it did not disappoint. While I'm not a fan of kale, with its bitter, fibrous, taste and texture, their kale salad was amazing. It was sweet, full of flavor, and the best part was being able to consume it without mimicking the jaw movement of a goat chewing on a hunk of tree branch. If you've never been here, do yourself a favor and give it a try--you won't be disappointed! read more

First of all I am super late on reviewing this place because I've been coming here at least twice a week since I came to Augusta beginning of April. I am in love with this place, the energy, the quality ingredients, and the employees. I'm sad that This is my last week in town because they have spoiled me with their untouchable smoothie options, smoothie bowls, and cold pressed juices. I frequent Atlanta also and now when I'm in Atl I'm searching for a place that will hit the spot like Humanitree but I'm always left disappointed. Friendly environment and I enjoyed the food. Staff was helpful, nice, and engaging. I am excited to have found a vegan restaurant in GA! New to the area and was so glad to know that there was at least one place that was all vegan. I enjoyed their philly cheese steak sandwich mad from seitan and a delicious smoothy. I've also had a great kale salad. It was so good that after I had it, I craved it the next day. I give it three stars for the food but an extra star for being the only vegan restaurant around! read more

This place always leaves me in awe!!!! In the heart of downtown this place caters to vegan lovers, and even if your not vegan the food is to die for- sooooo delicious!!!!!! They also have beautiful stunning art hung around the place that the artist creates in the loft of the restaurant, so you can see him at work sometimes. So I went to Humanitree House last weekend and thought it had an amazing atmosphere there. Our smoothies were good and the staff is very nice and helpful. My only complaint about my experience was how long it took for us to get our smoothies. The employees were slow, it took over 20 minutes for 2 smoothies. However sometimes you have to sacrifice if you want the freshest ingredients. read more

Both the Mandingo and Chocolate Goddess were delicious and the experience was made even better by the beautiful artwork that decorates the interior, made by the co-owner. I love this place! The vibes and ambiance are so relaxing and laid back. I'm not an artsy person, but you can't help but to appreciate all the beautiful pieces in here! It is very Afro-centric, which makes it very unique. Not to mention it is a black owned business that EXCLUSIVELY serves VEGAN food! I'm no vegan, but this food has me reconsidering ! We love this place! The açaí bowls are a delicious mixture of açaí and blueberry mixed together just like it's supposed to be and I could eat it everyday and be happy. My kids and I love the vibe here, especially my daughter who is a California girl. They love the kids options, but sometimes they just want the vegan burger which they completely devour while listening to their fav music. I only wish they had vegan sweets everyday. My family had to stop here for the açaí and smoothie bowls! I hadn't had an açaí bowl in a few years. It was definitely worth the trip! The bowls are huge and surprisingly filling. Love the granola and fruit toppings! We also tried an avocado wrap and some smoothies. Everything was good and tasted fresh. If you drop in on a busy day, be prepared to wait. Luckily the atmosphere is friendly and relaxing so the wait is more enjoyable. read more

I took a quick day trip to Augusta and my cousin took me here for lunch. Absolute highlight of my trip! The atmosphere is upbeat and the paintings and design/layout of the place is so refreshing. We ordered the beet burger and toona salad as a sandwich. Both were amazing! I'd love to try the toona salad on lettuce. The staff was very friendly and walked me through ordering one of the smoothies. I ended up getting the Love Pusha with a peanut butter base which was tasty and very filling. I was literally in awe of this entire establishment. It's breathtaking. The art on the walls done by the owner is immaculate! I was amazed to find that he paints only with his fingers. It's truly a sight to behold. I was blessed to enjoy the green goddess juice and the Jamaica mon smoothie which were delicious, full of flavor and filled me up! The vibe is fantastic, and the owner/ artist is just so friggin' cool. Everyone is friendly and the art all over the building just makes me happy. Someone told me to get the Mandingo drink for my husband. LOL. I have yet to do that so I can't comment on what happens. I can, however, share my thoughts on the juice and bowls. Get that acai bowl!!! I had one for lunch last week and it changed. my. whole. life. It's not a dessert - it's a meal. Their juices are fresh and delicious. Just go and see for yourself. read more

Humanitree is one of my favorite places to get a smoothie or juice. I'm NOT Vegan, but the Vegan meals are great. My usual is the Kale Salad. They give you a large portion and is very filling. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and are always good on advising on a new taste. Aside from the food, Humanitree House is often a cool venue for live music and other events that I regularly attend. The ambiance of Humanitree House is peaceful and relaxing, and is a weekly stop for me. read more

Humanitree House utilizes a service approach that integrates a gallery of work for sale by emerging and established artists; a cold press juice bar offering refreshments and light fare; an open stage offering live entertainment; fine arts exposure and education and holistic health workshops and small conferences. We offer the finest in cold pressed juice and freshly prepared smoothies and teas utilizing only the best local and organically grown ingredients, thereby continuing to strengthen the economic base of the local Augusta community. In addition to our juice bar and art gallery, our retail room carries some of our favorite things to include books and t-shirts to music and (w)holistic health items and supplies.

Established in 2014.

Humanitree House grew from our ever-growing love of organic juices and plant based foods as well as our love for all things great and beautiful. We certainly do not have "pristine diets" 100% of the time, however, we think it's important for all of us to take better care of ourselves. Cut back on the processed foods and rely on the fabulous fruits, vegetables and grains that make us feel great. Humanitree House offers a creative, casual, inviting environment filled with deliciousness and a knowledgeable staff that is ready to assist you on your path to better health. Baruti & Denise Tucker (Owners) wanted to educate the community about the importance of integrating whole foods into your diet. We promise to offer organic juices, delicious superfood smoothies and house made goodies made with love. We provide a completely vegan, toxin free environment filled with knowledge & dedication designed to help nurture and heal us all. We know that food is sacred and essential and we are here to share our passion and love with you. Every style, medium, and vantage point you can think of (or not know about) is here. It welcomes you via the front windows and swaddles you as you walk further in. And the team here are some of the friendlist folks you will meet downtown. And recommendations? They have plenty. They've been there for over two decades so they know a thing or two. Of course they can give you background information on each of the artists' whose work is in the shop and sometimes even some insight on the piece itself. But I also want to highlight a aspect of AOB that I constantly make use of; framing. Once you make it to the back (after joyful hours of looking at everything while en route), you will see a workshop area. There one or two team members will always be hard at work (though never too busy to answer questions). I have brought quite a number of posters, prints, and paintings over the years in search of their guidance in what frame to choose, how to frame it (matte/no matte/thickness of-color-etc.), and even the optimum glass. And every time they have come through. When I ask them to push me out of my comfort zone (aka, solid color frames), they did and my piece was the better for it. Their presence and their services are invaluable to downtown and our community. If you haven't been, or if it's been more than a week, I recommend you stop in soon. You can thank me later.

I love Humanitree House.... seriously LOVE. Can I give more than 5 stars??? There are way too many good things to name about the establishment overall. Of course let's start with the food. The vegan burger is AMAZING! The stuff dreams are made of...even if you do eat meat. The flavors are so unique and the texture is not off-putting like some others AND it's not store bought or mock meat. I don't know how they do it, it's an enigma.... I have chosen to eat it over a "real burger" on occasions. It's like that, mkay?! They do have a mock meat burger, the jive turkee, which is just as delicious if you need a "meat fix". I haven't tried some of the other food items but I am anxious to do so. The kale salad is a staple and I could eat it by the pound! Kale yea!..... too much?? Okay, sorry not sorry. The smoothies are soooo good with quality ingredients, the same is true for the smoothie bowls. When I don't want fruity the Mandingo is my go to. My next favs are the Jamaica Mon' and Recover. The cold pressed juices are all delicious and I normally buy based on whatever healing properties I need. It's hard to pick a favorite because they all are great, I just listen to my cravings lol. I'm a beet fanatic so the Cosmic Goddess is always at the top of my list. #RootChakraVibes VIBRANT COLORS throughout. The art work is unmatched but the food is just as colorful. The fun music keeps the energy in the place light, not to mention if you have the pleasure of meeting Denise or Baruti you'll understand how this place brings/creates so much LIFE! I've been a customer for years and it's been exciting to see their growth. They deserve it and Augusta deserves a place like this! With that being said, they CAN get busy. Understanding this is not a "fast food restaurant" sometimes you might have to wait. It's not a negative thing, I think it's a testament to how high in demand they are. There is so much to say about this place. The food is delicious whether you are vegan or not. The juices and smoothies are so fresh and the combinations are perfect. I love the healthy organic options. The tea variety is also appreciated when I want something warm. They are all very knowledgeable about the BENEFITS of the food and drinks they offer. Denise and Baruti take great pride in this establishment. You can tell Love is an ingredient in the food and art they create. Baruti paints everything by hand, no brushes, even the murals on the wall!!! Absolutely breathtaking work! The vibe inside is always positive and relaxed. I can't say I have a favorite of anything because everything is sooooo good. If you have any questions they are so wiling to answer. There are also, books, music, jewelry, oils, incense, sage, soaps, head wraps etc that can be discovered there from time to time. This place is a gem and a great addition to not only downtown but the city of Augusta in general. Humanitree House was recommended to me by a friend so I tried out a smoothie and was instantly hooked. Next step I tried a juice, it was delicious. How did downtown Augusta get so lucky? This is the place I have searched for since moving to the area. Plenty of vegan/vegetarian fare, a non-intimidating atmosphere and food and drinks that just make sense! I cannot recommend their juices enough - and, unlike places like Earthfare, they have many fresh juices pre-made in a cooler by the counter, so I'm in and out.
