We been here on several occasions with our group of 6 to 8 riders during our Saturday Harley ride. We love to come here and even though they are crowded there seems to be a table available outside which is fine with us. Today I had a special treat they had Wahoo as the fish of the day which I love. Wahoo is a very mild fish and is great blackened. So I had the Wahoo Fish Sandwich with fries and a cup of Clam Chowder which is always good at Hull's. Our waitress, Abbey was excellent actually she was too nice which made me uncomfortable but was enjoyable. She was one who really deserves a large tip. We went to Hulls Seafood restaurant last night. The food was absolutely fantastic and our server Tiffany was extremely attentive to our needs. If your looking for the freshest seafood at reasonable prices then this is the place to go. This is not a fancy place and you can go here in shorts, T-shirt and saddles. They have complementary valet parking behind the restaurant. We will be going back again soon. We ordered the Ahi Tuna appetizer and it was huge. That alone could have been a meal. We also ordered the Buffalo style shrimp which was very good and not too spicy. I did not get pictures of the appetizers but take my word they were outstanding. For the four of us we ordered way too much food and had to take a lot home with us , along with $5 key lime pie slices for dessert. read more

This was out first trip to Hull's Seafood, but not our last. We had friends visiting over the Christmas holiday week who had heard great things from other guests at their hotel. While it was a bit cool outside,we were very comfortable inside the auxiliary seating. The wait for a table was about 20 minutes, the service was great, the restaurant very clean and well lighted. The noise level was not to high to prevent easy table conversation. And the food was excellent! Parking is available and it's not too far to walk from the city parking at the library if necessary (we did). read more

A local resident told us about this place and he recommended it so highly we had to give it a try. We were not disappointed, the seafood was fresh and delicious; plus Icaro, our Server, provided polite and friendly service that enhanced our dinning experience. We enjoyed 3 Fried Oysters appetizers, a Red Snapper Plate, Fish-n-Chips, and Crab Cakes. Also enjoyed a Shipwrecked cocktail and a couple of Extra Spicy Bloody Marys. I always loved Hull's until tonight. The food was terrible! I think they possibly have grown too much. Before, you always knew the meal was going to be outstanding. Their cod meal was terrible. I thought the crab cakes were delicious and my sister enjoyed her shrimp basket. My other sister loved the chowder. The restaurant is attractive and the bathroom was clean and updated. I ordered the broiled scallops dinner which comes with 2 sides, mine were coleslaw & a cup of clam chowder.. which I didn't eat because it was very thick and the texture was off putting for me. My husband had a cup of clam chowder also and said yes it thick but it has flavor ! I had asked for no seasoning on my scallops and they came out with a little bit.. Food is good but the service is very disorganized. Management needs to do a better job training staff on how to efficiently take orders and follow up with tables. We had a party of 8, when we checked in we were told about 30 minutes to get a table. An hour and ten minutes later we were offered 2 four tops, still not a table for eight available. The excuse was people aren't leaving the tables. After our dining experience, taking three hours and twenty-five minutes, I understood it was not the patrons wanting to sit there. It was the issue of staff not knowing how to be efficient... PS: if someone emails you a gift card make sure you print it out, it does not say on the email that it is mandatory and that it MUST be printed. Long story short, had to email it to a manager so they could print it out even though the code is right there visible on our phone. Maybe the fact that this place can't adapt to technology is part of the issue with their lack of organization. I understand things in the south move slower than other places, but this experience was RIDICULOUS! Was it worth all the time and hassle. No! We will not go back. read more

Parking can be tricky. There are spots in the front of the restaurant and in the back. When we got there there was plenty of parking but when we do finished with lunch there were cars just waiting for parking spots and it was difficult to get out of the parking lot when cars we blacking other cars waiting for a spot. There was an older gentleman standing in a parking spot trying to reserve it for someone a few cars back in line. I highly do not recommend doing that especially when you are trying to cut in line ahead of a few cars that were already waiting in line. Not cool. Lunch was very good. Our server, Nicole was great. She provided excellent recommendations and took our food allergy very serious. We would definitely ask for her again. She was awesome! The lobster roll was very good. I just wanted more lobster since it tasted so good. My only complaint about the lobster roll was that the lettuce wasn't that fresh and crisp. Butter lettuce would have been a better choice than iceberg lettuce. The clam chowder was ok. Didn't have much clams in my small bowl. The fritters were really good just needed some kind of dipping sauce like some honey. There is inside seating and outside seating. The outdoor seating was covered and had ceiling fans with lights. This spot was recommended by the locals for boat to plate options. We had no wait for a group of 3 plus a baby, on a Saturday night. They have open air seating that is covered with beautiful lighting. Also, there is counter service. Service was friendly and prompt. We had the hush puppies best ever hush puppies. Buffalo shrimp, fried shrimp, spicy fish chowder, and Dixon oysters. Last but not least the blue berry hush puppies with a blue berry magic sauce. I could have eaten that sauce by the gallon. A great location in downtown Ormand Beach. Larger than looking at front of store implies, dining areas in and out with a large bar. The seafood store looks great albeit strongly aromatic. I wouldn't hesitate to buy their really fresh offerings. Nice takeout seating in front of store and restraunt on covered walkway. Now the not as good part. A little pricey, I get it, we're in tourist land.That said, the entree portions were not the pricing. My fried grouper was very disappointing. My wife's broiled oysters were also blah. Thumbs up for their fried pickles which were the high point of our meal. Also, our waitress Hannah was a true delight and very good at her job! I'm reluctant to write this review because I don't want everyone to find out my secret! But all the locals know this is the best seafood around. There is nothing fancy at all about this place. There is indoor (polar A/C) and outdoor seating. Cold beers and a full bar await. The seafood is superlative and not overpriced. Also not overcooked. Unfortunately, they tend to run out of blue crabs so I got the snow crab. Perfectly done! And I love the rice and beans side dishes. Of course, you always get hush puppies too. There is a small parking lot out back. Service is always good in the bar, but in the table seating pretty good. Our fast and efficient server did her best to keep up with everything and we only had to hail her once for drink refills. Shh! I'm not going to say more. read more

Great atmosphere but cold food. We arrived later in the evening and they were out of the menu items we ordered. They offered great substitutions though. The bar tender warned that the signature drinks were not his favorite and suggested an old fashioned. We ordered the fish special blackened and it was served cold...but not supposed to be. Crab legs were good but we discovered the butter was a source of blend (after the crab legs arrived at the table) so we weren't able to dip them due to a soy allergy.
