We just moved to Escalon and wanted burgers so we tried this place. I can't count how many times I've driven by it going up to the lakes. The onion rings and garlic fries were yummy and the burgers were very flavorful. I got a cowboy burger and was surprised no cheese so next time I'll make sure I get one with cheese same with with hubby's pineapple burger. But there will be a next time. read more

We used to come here alot when we lived in Escalon, back in 2010 and it was good.., The service ( food) has gone downhill..I asked for their teriyaki chicken sandwich with an garden green salad, the chicken was a very small piece with NO teriyaki sauce at all on a toasted slice of bread,..The salad was chopped iceberg ,shredded cheese,small diced tomatoes and an red onion ring ,..I was disappointed..Teriyaki chicken sandwich/ burger used to be on a bun with a actual piece of chicken breast/ teriyaki sauce, ..The salad used to be a REAL garden salad with fresh greens, veggies. .Way over priced $$$ We won't be back..When i spoke with the young teen blonde ,i informed her , i didn't eat it and explained why! Stopped here about 20 minutes before they closed on a Monday night. Nobody there eating, and the girl working was ready to go home. That being said, she was very helpful, and took good care of us. The burgers were delicious and its a fun place to be. Will definitely be going back, as the menu has quite a few selections we want to try. read more

I've been to this little place twice now. Both times were for breakfast. It is really nice to see a waitress who knows the names of the majority of her customers. Service is quick and friendly. I was served ice cream from here 4 years ago after buying it for my 4 dogs, myself, and my mother. I got it all home and started to eat mine when I noticed it was causing my mouth and tongue to tingle and didn't taste right. My mom said the same thing about hers and my dogs wouldn't touch it either! My mom is in the medical field and said that the ice cream had gone bad. I subsequently took them back and told them that it was bad. The owner took some out of the machine and said it was fine. The young girl working there also tasted it and told me and the manager that it was indeed bad! She was going to refund my money until the owner overheard her and refused to give my money back or offer to replace it with good ice cream at a later time! I haven't been there since and will never go back because of the owners behavior toward the problem and his refusal to refund my money or make good on another offer! His inability to treat his customers with respect and stand behind the food he is serving, I will continue to warn anyone who's thinking of eating there to think again! I can attest that there is no hidden agenda! This did in fact happen and I have family that was there with me! You tasted the ice cream personally and rudely said there was nothing wrong with it and then your employee tasted it and agreed that it was in fact tainted!! She was extremely cordial and even apologized for your behavior! As I stated my mom is in the medical field and said the same thing I did, that there was something wrong with your ice cream! We even suggested that you refrain from continuing to sell it before you made someone Ill! I have never been treated so badly in an establishment before in my life! We threw the ice cream away and told you we would never be back and we haven't been! And now with your rude comment basically calling me a liar and saying I have some sort of hidden agenda I guarantee that everyone I know will refrain from patronizing your establishment! I stated only true facts and it's not my problem you have memory issues or are just so rude on a consistent basis that you fail to recall this particular incident!! It is my hope that you would learn from your mistakes and not repeat them! I just pray your health and food safety policies have changed and that it doesn't take someone getting food poison from your food before you take proper steps to make your food safe and change your attitude before it chases off more potential customers! read more

Really glad we stopped by here for the first time today. Great burgers and very generous portions. I had the knockout burger and my wife had the escalon burger. Both fantastic. We drive by here when going to our cabin near Yosemite but never stop because we always have the dog with us. Well they are dog friendly and we had a great lunch out on the patio. Pretty tasty burgers, fries and rings. Also can't not love a place for offering $1 pints of their draft beer. The Escalon burger is where its at, with grilled onions and mushrooms. They have a car show on friday evenings in summer which make for a pretty fun night out. The menu is pretty big and my wife is able to find something different each time being a vegetarian. Thankful to have such a tasty option nearby! read more

I ordered the Escalon Burger with garlic fries and hubby had a burger with jalapeños and a side of onion rings. Both burgers were cooked perfectly! The average price for a burger was around $9-$10, which was reasonable because their burgers are bigger than your average, and freshly made may I add! I actually liked the onion rings better than the garlic fries, and I'm a big garlic fan. To our surprise, the meal came with free soft serve ice cream! Great place for milk shakes, burgers, and fries. A big selection on the menu to pick from including milkshakes, burgers, and salads. Taste of the food was terrific. The place itself is small but great seats outside for more seats. I hope they have an A/C there because it will get hot in the spring and summer time but when we were there it was hot inside. A must try is the milkshake and chili chesse fries. Also, you get a free ice cream at the end of your meal to top you over. We will be back. read more

Teriyaki Chicken sandwich didn't taste like teriyaki, the flys where everywhere, it took for ever to get the food, however the place was busy. My only favorite thing from that place so far was the strawberry banana shake. Just disappointed. read more

This business is the only thing good about Escalon, period. I only come here and associate with the people for Escalon for Hula's food. The drive through is useful, it makes sure that you encounter the least amount of Escalonians as possible. You can get the Knockout Burger and any of their smoothies. My favorite smoothies so far is a mix of the butterscotch and peanut butter. All of their burgers are great. Same with their sandwiches. You cant go wrong getting food here read more

My husband and I pick up to go often. Which says alot. We love this place, however our last pick up lagged alot. My cowboy hamburger didnt have bbq sauce which is one of the main reasons I order this burger. It was almost inedible however since the bottom bun was basically mush, which is wierd considering my husband showed up and still had to wait for our order.
