The food was so delicious it always is.the place was busy with prom happening the young people were amazing they had a great time. Our party of 10 had a great time our waitress was amazing she was on it always there . We had a wonderful night all the guys around the grill were great keeping track of all of those meals amazing. Third visit to Huhot (1 in rochester..2 in st cloud) over all NOT IMRESSED with quality of food prepared. The selection was ok....but not very well policed as dropped food was everywhere and intermixed with other vegetables and meats. Most of the meats were almost or completely empty...but the worst part was the sauces! VERY FEW were labeled leaving you to guess what they were. The ones that were labeled were tucked under and in need of a flashlight to read. As a result my first attempt had some weird blend of sauces that was just not worth completely eating. Add to that was that the mix is placed on a dry grill without any form of oil or anything to keep the mix moisturized as it cooks. I pulled out more than a few dozen noodles that were completely ridged and burnt. The garlic from the garlic oil were just burnt beyond belief ..leaving a horrible taste in your mouth if you were to accidentally eat one. (The white rice that was delivered was ok...but the :fried rice " is not fried...and more of a mush with some brown sauce and a few vegetables in it. ) My second attempt where I intentionally overloaded the bowl with sauce was equally as dried, burnt not worth eating and horribly disappointing. I was picking up pieces of chicken that was stiff as a piece of bacon. (Same thing with the noodles.) I left extremely disappointed and doubt I will come back. As for the cooking station. My God does the place ever get cleaned? There is no way in hell that the floor or the grill itself was cleaned for several days. Its also kind of gross watching then scrape their spatulas on the waste area of the grill where much of the burnt and unplated food ends up. The cooks were not skilled..and appeared very unsanitary in their actions. Then to top it off... I handed my bowl in to be cooked...then went back over and grabbed a few ladles of teriyaki sauce to make sure this bowl wouldn't be dry and unwedable like the last. Well apparently that was a sin as it was taken from me with an excuse of possible cross contamination being the rational. Well if YOU KNOW that the self serve sauces are being intermixed... MAYBE YOU SHOULD TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT LIKE PUTTING THEM IN SQUEEZE BOTTLES SO THIS WOULDNT HAPPEN! I guarantee that the cooks scraping their utensils on the dirty garbage rail of the grill cross contaminates more food than a sauce could. Moments after that the cook decided he had dehydrated and burnt my food enough ..and after scraping the spatula on the rail.... he swept it onto a plate. Now since I had stepped back and got the forbidden teriyaki sauce,,, I was no longer in line and was promptly chastised by the cook for confusing him and reprimanded that I must stay in order or my meal would be disposed of "next time." Yay for customer service at its finest. The second bowl was equally disappointing and I left very unsatisfied. The one and only saving grace was that the waitress was pleasant and attentive to our needs. She should find a better place to practice her craft as this place will not succeed. read more

We have always enjoyed HuHot (typically Rochester location), so I was curious how the transition from Mongo's would affect the experience. Unfortunately, it wasn't great. Service was poor--our waitress failed to explain that it was all-you-can-eat only, which wasn't ideal for someone like me who can't eat large portions. Sides weren't offered, and when I did request rice, the white rice took 30 minutes, and the fried rice was practically inedible. My friend suggested this place, as she lives in the area. I've never been to a Mongolian restaurant before, but it was very good! I got two plates of food (tho didn't show the second plate) with white rice. The meat was very salty so the rice was very needed (unsalted) and it did pair well with the noodles. Though I also really enjoyed scooping some of the noodles/meat and mixing it into the rice bowl. Also I could only see myself eating with chopsticks so that's what I used! The signage wasn't quite right over a bunch of the food items (either not there or in the wrong spot) but I feel that could easily be fixed. We also had the s'mores, which felt really weird in a place like this, but it was still good! It's not as hot as an actual campfire so it takes the marshmallows much longer to brown. Also you don't want to take your time or else the fire will go out! I wish we were warned how long it took (though I'm guessing we could have asked to have it re-lit. We were just on the last one so didn't feel the need). Over all I had a good time! read more

This restaurant replaced Mongos in St Cloud, but is still the same concept - build your own Mongolian bowl! I love the variety of options to truly make your meal unique! We learned that the secret is to drown your bowl in sauce before they mix it! The service was great, everyone was friendly! Also pretty clean and quiet atmosphere! Will need to come back soon! What a letdown. The old Mongo's had twice the selection. The make your own sauce area is mislabeled and doesn't contain the required sauces tat are on the sign There is no more spice rack as you enter the grill area. No more more egg, tortilla, or rice choice as they grill. There is no more liquid sauces at the end of the grilling area. The service was great but you know there are issues when the server commiserate with you that the restruant isn't as good as the old one and she doesn't know why they changed. read more

Service and food were good. Drinks reasonably priced. We stop here driving thru to the Cities. During peak times it can be a bit of a wait. We stop here 2-3 X a year. I think it's a bit better than mongo's as far as ingredients go. We'll be back. read more

I've never done yelp before but after this I had to. I was looking at the google reviews and I saw how our server and the restaurant was being praised and I just want to talk about my experience. This place has gone downhill. I don't know how this place is open. Besides the food being slightly burnt, the server ran around like she was clueless, forgetting our rice, mixing up our salad, and I've been in there before when it was busy. But it wasn't even half as busy as last time and she looked like she was about to have a panic attack, I felt bad for her but everyone else looked like they were fine. I just wish she paid more attention and was more attentive and wasn't messing around and talking with her server friends. There were flies everywhere, on my food, around my family, and it was just dirty looking like no one has mopped in years. Our table was dirty and she didn't even care. She was sweet but it just didn't make up for the service, hope your day gets better Emily! read more

My fiancé and I went there a few days ago and we were incredibly disappointed. We went the opening week and this place was spotless, veggies were fresh, and it seemed like it was going to be better than Mongos. BOY WERE WE WRONG. The place was FILTHY!! There was not one sauce that wasn't contaminated with another, the green beans were dark brown almost black, nothing had been refilled, and there was food ALL over the place. Don't even get me started about the dirty fish smell by the meats. The quality of produce and even meat has gone down hill just since the place opened. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. I think that they made a big mistake changing it from mongos to HuHot. Mongos had a better variety and selection of food and more options. they went from a top quality restaurant that would bring people from as far as Fargo nd when it was mongos to a mediocre one when they changed it to huhot and I don't think it will survive. read more

This is our third time here, and it is not getting any better. Most likely it will be our last visit because it's not worth giving another try. We had hoped with our first two visits that they were just learning the ropes and things would improve, but they aren't. The floor was slippery everywhere because a layer of grease. I had to be very careful walking on the floor. The grill area was rather dirty and gross looking with all kinds of food on the floor and on the edges of the grill. They were out of several ingredients, including their most popular Khan's sauce and chopped peanuts to put on at the end. There were four bowls of dry spices, none of them labeled and when I asked what they were, they didn't even know. The coffee was so horrible I couldn't drink it, it tasted like it had been sitting on a hot coffee warmer for a day or more. The pitiful bowl of fried rice at our table was basically flavorless. It's just so sad that this has gone so downhill since it was Mongo's. The quality is no longer there. read more
