I'm a kind and patient person, and I can understand if the wait time was a bit long because they were understaffed. But there was at least six people in view, and probably even more I didn't see. It's been awhile but Garden Wok is such a great quick to go place to get good food and great value. I was craving seafood and decided to get their Seafood Delight under their specialties to go. Call in your orders...they are so busy and will not entertain any drive through without orders first. As you drive up, you can always smell the good charred wok smell 'Wok Hei' that's what Chinese called the delicious smell. The Seafood Delight is filled with shrimp, scallops and imitation crab meat with bamboo shoots, broccoli, cabbage, baby corn and mushroom. They are coated in a generous garlic creamy savory and sweet sauce...perfect with rice! I definitely recommend if you are in the area, try their hot and sour soup and orange chicken. We did an online order. The order was going to take a little over an hour to get there. We got the order and it was about a half hour late. The food was not hot when we got it and what made it worse is we were missing items in our order. This was a fairly large order with the total being Over $85.00. When I called them they blamed Grub Hub but the bags were stapled shut and there wasn't any evidence of it being tampered with. The girl that answered the phone did not seem to care that we were missing items. She could not credit us at all but could offer a discount on our next order. I explained that we had people that now did not get something to eat but she just kept talking over me on the phone and just said that is their company policy. Worst delivery service ever! The 1st time my wife called, they put the phone down and simply forgot about her so she had to call back. Then she ordered and they were somewhat short with her on the phone and took her credit card info, and then proceeded to her it would be an HOUR for delivery. Being she was desperate for Chinese food and not many other options we decided to still wait. Once they got to our house, blasting their stereo in our quite neighborhood, 20 minutes later (you would seem that would be a plus but we both had a snack anticipating the long wait) they asked if I was paying cash, I told them we paid with credit card and they insisted we told them cash but looked for a long time for our receipt, I had to read them my credit card THREE MORE TIMES due to "computer issues". I'm hoping I am not double or triple charged but we shall see. They were completely unprofessional and we will NOT be ordering take out again from them. Just moved to Sartell from the Nashville area where there was an abundance of great Chinese food restaurants and was concerned about what we were leaving behind. Ordered for delivery and it was fast! No complaints about that at all. The Curry chicken was spicy as it claimed to be. I am usually disappointed by food that claims to deliver heat. My daughter ordered sesame chicken and it was great as well. Food portions were huge for the price, enough for 2 meals in the combo. Egg rolls are just mediocre, need more meat in them. Ordered food online (was happy they offered online ordering). Called to confirm order after submitting it online because their online system didn't ask for the security code on the back of the card or my zip code and I wanted to make sure the order went through. Once the order was confirmed I waited.... and waited... and waited... after an hour and 20 minutes I called again. They asked for my phone number and said "it's out for delivery but the delivery driver is delayed." I asked when he left the restaurant and they said 20-25 minutes ago. They offered me a $3.00 discount at this point. I said I doubted my food would be warm since I ordered it over an hour ago and it's be driving around for 20-25 minutes. I was told they would refund my money if the food wasn't hot. I would just have to call again once the food showed up. That was 15 minutes ago and the food still isn't here. I'm sure this place is run by well meaning nice people, but they need to seriously get things in order over there.
