Update!!! I have to give Audree recognition once again. She's one of the few stylist i am completely comfortable with doing my hair. Results are good and consistent and she handles my hair with care. I also feel comfortable voicing any questions or concerns about a service or my hair without judgement. The smoothing treatment: After much research and consideration i decided to get the smoothing treatment. I'm so happy with my results!! My hair was silky and kept for well over a week and a half without any additional heat. I took a trip to Italy and even with the rain and humidity it stayed silky. I just used flexirods a few nights and i was good to go. I also got a much needed trim. As usual she laid a white paper behind my hair and confirmed how much she was cutting before she started to make sure i was comfortable with the amount. Post treatment: Even though i loved the results I was nervous about the state of my curls after the treatment, considering my hair stayed so straight for so long. I did read that the treatment stays with you for up to 12 weeks. Curls start out looser then gradually come back. That has completely been my experience. After the first wash my hair curled but looser than usual. Gradually after every wash my hair has tightened more and more. Not completely where it was yet, but I'm also only 4 weeks post treatment. Additionally my hair feels healthy and moisturized. Definitely not damaged or dry. I'm still able to do my same protective styles like twist outs with no issue. Lastly we spoke about an on going plan for my hair. She likes to keep clients hair healthy so she'll only straighten a few times a year and suggested protective styling on other visits. So anyone who knows me knows I'm very particular about who does my hair. I get it straightened once a year and I normally don't use heat. Anyways it came time to straighten and trim and the previous person I used at another salon was nowhere to be found. I was looking on Facebook and I came across an advertisement about Huetiful Salon. It was a blow dry bar on Fridays and Saturdays and for $55, you get a shampoo, steam treatment, and your hair blow dried & flat ironed. A trim is also included if necessary (I think less that an inch). I made my appointment online the night before and went in the next day. I arrived at the start at the appointment and they took me right in. At the address they're on the second floor in a suite among different hair salons. Anyway, as soon as they hung up my jacket, I was in the chair getting shampooed. After, I got a steam treatment, then it was to the blow dry chair. Both stylists were very knowledgeable and took care of my hair. Literally from start to finish, they were very nice and quick! From me coming in to me leaving was 2 hours flat. In the pictures I attached is literally the night before to right when I left. No damage to speak of to my hair and that is the most important thing! Also the price was right. $55 and no tax or anything extra added on. I appreciated not being surprised with the cost, since that has happened at salons before. The salon is by appointment only so you don't have to wait which I love! My stylist was Kristina and she was great, very knowledgeable about the product and very easy to talk to. My first time visiting Huetiful in Atlanta was about 2 weeks ago. Ms. Dawn Dixon did my hair and she slayed it! My hair is natural, super thick, and about shoulder length. I had scheduled my appointment with mind and body application. This particular salon doesn't take walk ins which is understandable. This is my second time coming to Huetiful salon. My stylish was Dominique, this was my first time having her as a stylist. My stylist was friendly, helpful, and gentle on my hair. She walked me through step by step on what she was doing to my hair. She gave me advice on how to further manage my hair, and feasible products that would better suite my hair. What I liked about her is she never tried to persuade me to purchase their in store products. Not only did she take her time with me, she was very skilled at her job. After she was finished, my hair was 1000 times softer and stronger. She advised me that I needed a trim, which I dislike but I consented to it. She didn't go scissor happy on my hair but she cut a small amount off. I still had the length and bounce to my hair. I will be coming back again and I highly recommend all the natural hair ladies to give Huetiful a try. I promise you, you won't be disappointed. read more

My first appointment with the salon was ok. I booked the appointment because they provide steam treatments. However, the machine was broken. I do understand things happen, but I should have been contacted to reschedule the appointment. Jackie did do a great job with the cut, and she rescheduled me for a hair treatment a couple week later,since the machine was down. Well , I arrived at my appointment to a closed salon and waited for a stylist for 1 hour. No one showed up to my appointment or even contacted me stating they would be late. I tried calling the number listed on the website, which good luck because no one ever returns a phone call, but no one answered. I thought I finally found a salon in Atlanta that I can rely on, but oh well lesson learned and I will not be returning. read more

I have been seeing Jackie for about 3 years now and she is an amazing stylist. Jackie is very knowledgeable about natural hair and her priority is to make your hair as healthy as possible. I started going to her when I went natural because I still wanted to wear my hair straight without suffering from heat damage. My silk presses (which are around $70) always comes out looking healthy and glossy because of the steaming technique used at the salon. My hair has grown significantly since going to her salon because she always provides valuable tips and tricks to keep my hair healthy in between visits. I find that many stylists either don't trim enough or trim more than needed. I personally believe Jackie always trims the right amount of hair for all my visits. If you want healthy hair, its better to have all your split ends trimmed off so your hair can grow nice and healthy instead of having long dead ends. Unfortunately, I can no longer go as often as used to anymore because I have moved, but whenever I am back in Atlanta I always make an appointment. I have been to many natural hair salons in Atlanta in the past, but nothing tops Huetiful because of the skilled stylists and professional atmosphere. read more

I was so excited about going to this salon after viewing the website. A phone number is provided and no one ever answers and when I tried to leave a message it cut me off. The time given to leave a message is very short, so I had to call back just to leave my name and phone number. Apparently they feel like you shouldn't have any additional questions. I have tried again today and was not able to contact and the voicemail cut off again so I just decided to give up and move on. Also, an e-mail was sent to me and I tried asking the question via replying to the e-mail and still no response. I even tried e-mailing Jasmin which name was on the signature information with no reply. I don't see how this place is in business with such terrible customer service. I've been to Huetiful Salon twice, one appointment with Kristina and one with LaShea. Both are incredibly fun, friendly & professional. Both times I got a wash/deep condition/steam treatment and natural style. My hair loved the steam treatment and I always love how my styles come out. My hair was nice when I left the salon but wasn't nearly as straight as I had expected it would be. This wasn't surprising to me because the lady who was in the chair before me left with a 75% straight silk press too. I have had silk presses done in the past that looked better (not frizzy the same day it was pressed). DO NOT GO!!! I went to Jackie at the Huetiful Hair Salon in Atlanta for a wash, silk press and trim and she ruined my hair! Not only did she cut off over 6 inches of my hair when it was supposed to be just a trim (no it was not severely damaged) but she cut it so uneven I had to get it recut by another hair stylist in metro Atlanta the following morning. She cut my hair without flat ironing first. Every natural professional hair stylist knows that a complete no-no! I have never cried so much in my life! I am completely devastated! Before I found Huetiful, I had a very negative salon experience. The beautician was so rough with my hair and my scalp was sore for days. I googled around a bit more and discovered Huetiful. I have very thick, curly natural hair and they worked magic on it. The steamer keeps my hair moisturized and the nano smoothing treatment is a MUST for any woman with natural hair. I usually get my hair pressed and lasts longer than my old stylist's presses. I also like the fact that as they add products to your hair, they will tell you exactly what they're using. A trim and steam treatment are included in the price, so you're never surprised at the register. These people are truly educated about hair and are absolutely amazing. I love my results. My daughter and I got the Nano Smoothing Treatment and we love the results. This is my second time getting the treatment with Kristina. She is vet sweet and personable and can whip your hair into shape. I have been natural for 4 years and the treatment loosened my curls slightly, but nothing drastic. I do noticed a big decrease in fizziness though. I got the first treatment in April 2015 and now, September 2015. Y hair grew tremendously as well. read more

This was the best salon experience I've ever had hands down! I'm transitioning to natural hair so my hair was (and yes I say was aka past tense because now after coming here my hair looks FABULOUS) a hot mess! My stylist was so knowledgeable and explained everything she needed to do to my hair to bring it back from the dead and while washing my hair she explained every step she was doing and every product she used. Then she gave me a haircut to get rid of my dead ends and I told her what I wanted and she worked with me in terms of meeting me halfway for a haircut that not only looked good but got rid of a large amount of my dead Ends. It's been 4 days since I got my haircut and everyone has been complementing me nonstop about my hair! I am so upset. This was my second time getting my hair done by Chi Lowe . My first experience was not that good. One she was late. Then she did not color my hair the color i ask for. She stated to me there certain things she do not specialized in so I went on her Instagram to see what she really know how to do which was braids so I decided to get her a second chance. Before making a second appointment I asked her and she able to do my hair and what does she specialize in. then I made an appointment she really hurt my feelings and mess my hair up so bad very poor service she tried to charge me $100 for something that look like my two-year-old grandson could have done and then told me I was wasting her time because the first style she did look like trash and I told her I was not paying for it then she rushed and try to do it over because she had another client waiting this was the worst service ever. I had the best experience at Huetiful the other day. Dominique was my stylist and I can truly say that she is experienced in natural hair. My texture is a kinky texture. While my hair was not detangled, she handled my hair with care and ease. She did not tug at my stresses at all. She explained everything that she was doing. Do not let Jackie cut your hair! I went in today after she requested I move my appt from Sunday. At any rate I stated that I wanted my hair in layers and wanted to keep my length. She suggested an in vetted bob and said she would take off 2 inches. She cut 6 and it looks horrible. I told her I still wanted to be able to pull it in a ponytail, she said I would be able to. Well I can't. To top it off I came home and straightened it trying to see this bob she said I'd have, it's uneven and there is zero style to it. I missed my birthday celebration because this is so screwed up. I can't do anything with it at all, I'm just going to have to get a tapered cut to make it look like something. Bear in mind my hair was bra strap length and now it's above my shoulders and all I really wanted was some layers. Jackie, if you read these, you really shouldn't be cutting hair. I know you said you teach classes, but you should probably sit in a few before you mess up someone else's hair. Bottom line, DO NOT GO TO JACKIE IF YOU HAVe LONG HAIR. Should be 5 stars but had to deduct for timeliness. I have been here multiple times. Audree used to be my go to person but I couldn't get her one day and went to Kristina, she was great but late finishing her previous client so I decided to forgive. Went to Kristina again today and sat down and waited 20 minutes!!! I should take away another star...I come to Huetiful because of the whole idea of the time, show up on time in and out 90mins but not today. Unacceptable and as nice as Kristina is and as great a job she does may not go back to her again. Won't stop me from going to Huetiful may just stop me from going to Kristina. I've Only been there twice and my hair is starting to improve already .
