I got my hair cut at A Natural Buzz in August and had to ponder my review for a while. I picked this salon since it was easy for me to get to, and the prices didn't make me wince. $35 for a women's haircut wasn't terrible, but I did spot a sign in the establishment about increasing prices. Natasha was easy to talk to though I find small talk at services awkward in general. I got what I wanted, and she dried my hair too. I noticed clients ranging in age from kids to senior citizens, both male and female. This isn't a fancy schmancy hip edgy salon but kind of feels like a grandmother's house. The aquarium is super cool though. Definitely fun to look at while you're getting shampooed. And speaking of shampoo, both the shampoo and the conditioner smelled heavenly. Ahhhh. read more

My daughter had a 2:15pm appointment with Natasha so I got there at 2:10. The receptionist was nice and checked us in and said Natasha would be with us shortly. At 2:48pm, 33 minutes after my appointment time, this lady walks up and say "hi", and I asked if she was Natasha; she acknowledged she was and walked us to her chair. Bear in mind that the salon had called and texted a couple of times prior to that day to confirm this appointment at 2:15pm. If we didn't have a wedding to attend at 5pm, I would have walked out at 2:30pm. The most irritating part is that Natasha didn't have the decency or common sense to apologize for keeping us waiting for over 30 minutes. I didn't want to be rude and prayed for patience since it was too late to find an alternative. Either because of the time constraint (which would have been her fault) or hairstyle being outside of her comfort zone, she said she couldn't do what my daughter had shown her so I asked her to do a simple trim and straighten. She did an okay job, not worth $55. However, I paid and even tipped her $15. I feel weird giving bad tips but she honestly didn't deserve more than $5. read more

I went for first time. Natasha was my "stylist". She cut my hair way shorter than the picture she showed me. Hairdo should look good even though it's shorter but mine looks like she cut with chainsaw. Went back to "repair" but still looks bad. Never going there again. I took a week to think about this before posting, but I decided that it's necessary. For perspective, I'm a new mom of a three month old and last weekend I finally felt comfortable going to a salon to get my hair done for the first time in over a year. I was really looking forward to doing this, having some time and treating myself to some mushroom brown balayage with my natural dark roots halfway down my head, to feel more put together. I arrived at my appointment and showed my stylist pictures of exactly what I wanted. It should have been a red flag when she barely glanced at the photos, but I assumed she knew what she was doing and I settled in for what I knew would be a long appointment. She was friendly and chatty, but she ended up taking two hours to put what must have been 12 foils in my hair. She let me know that some previous color on my hair wasn't lifting, and assured me that they would not let me leave without making sure my hair looked good, even if we couldn't attain the mauve grey mushroom brown that i showed her. Two hours later, some green grey toner and a half hearted trim later, and my highlights are all right around my face nearly to my scalp, with barely any bleach on my ends, not at all like in the pictures I showed her. I told her that this was incorrect, and showed her the picture again, and all she did was look at her apple watch and tell me that this would have to be a multi-appointment process! I won't be wasting any more time or money here, and if you have any requests more complicated than all-over single process color, or a simple haircut, I suggest you don't either. read more

I've gotten much more expensive color/cut services from some of the top salons in Atlanta over the years. I initially chose this place because it is very close and convenient so when I went in I wasn't sure what to expect about the quality of service I'd get. I can't remember another time I've walked out of a salon so happy with my hair. Elena educated me on how my hair had been getting damaged, she carefully applied just the right mix of color to my hair in just the right places, she insisted on air drying instead of speeding me through with a hair dryer and adding damage. She really cared for my hair more than I ever had. It was really a great experience. I forgot my hair could actually be shiny and bouncy. Thanks so much to this awesome salon and to Elena! Sophia has cut my hair three times now, and I've left happy each time. This is a small, unassuming salon, and everyone here is down to earth and friendly. The prices are incredibly reasonable compared to other salons in Atlanta ($40 for a cut). I have a very short pixie cut, along with very thick hair. It's really easy for me to tell if a stylist is good or not based off of how well my hair grows out between cuts. With many stylists, my hair would become bushy and unmanageable after just three weeks, forcing me to schedule another hair appointment in less than a month. Not so at Natural Buzz! Here, I go every six weeks, and my hair is easy to work with and looks great for the entire time between appointments, not just the day or two after. This place is definitely my go-to salon now, and I'm so glad that I stumbled upon it! read more

Very good experience. My previous (upscale, $$$, Buckhead) place was NOT safe where COVID was concerned. Neighbors recommended Natasha at Natural Buzz. Quite pleased. I had a photo from a previous cut and color that she replicated perfectly. I like Aveda products. Everything was pleasant--some small talk, clearly long established relationships with the various other clients (including one with an adorable dog). Was very nice and low key, which felt good after the more pretentious Buckhead places I have gone. It's definitely not fancy, but instead comfortable. And safe, so important these days. I used to love this place a few years ago when Zane was my stylist: I'd just let him do whatever style he wanted, and it was always gorgeous. I moved away, and he moved on. Since I moved back to Atlanta, I decided to try the salon again. The first time, I didn't get the cut I asked for, but I figured it was a fluke. Bad haircuts happen every now and then. I went back recently, and it was a terrible idea. Once again, I asked for an edgier, textured cut, and once again I got a mom bob. I've been going to Angela at A natural buzz for years and consistenly get great haircuts at a fraction of the price. I've tried Grow, Key LIme Pie, Freshe, and I've gotten better and cheaper haircuts at A Natural Buzz. One downside is that it usually takes a long time, so don't plan on being out of there in under an hour. read more

I came here because I had seen some good reviews about this place and I didn't want to spend more than $30. for a haircut. The website said the haircuts were $35 and that was close enough, compared to other salons in the area. I made an appointment with Sofia and was so dissastisfied at the end of the haircut and blowdry that I was embarrassed to go out in public. I went home and had to even out the right and left side by cutting more hair off. She did not listen to what I said I wanted at all. Very Disappointed! read more
