A lot of stylists struggle with my fine wavy texture, but he knew exactly how to shape the cut for me even on my first appointment with him. I got the best haircut and color of my life yesterday with Jennifer. She took her time to make sure she was understanding what I wanted and didn't want and how that would jive with my lifestyle. Not only did she actually explain my hair to me (why it was stubbornly poofing up in some spots or difficult to straighten), she offered thorough and valuable recommendations for styling and for products. She explained what she was using, why she was using it and what she recommend for other styles (air drying, etc.) based on my hair type. She also knocked my color out of the park. I wanted something lighter but not white-blonde or yellow-blonde, and that's exactly what I got. And added bonus is that Jennifer is an awesome person - fun and easy to talk to, which is nice when you're spending a couple of hours with someone. I have been going to Dorothy to cut my hair for six years. I followed her from Grow to DaDa, and now to her beautiful new salon in Candler Park. What can I say, she's an artist. Her haircuts really withstand the true tests of self-styling and time - whenever your haircut looks as cute when you style it yourself as it did in the salon, and holds up for weeks and weeks even as your hair grows out, you know you've found someone who knows what they're doing. Just the other day someone stopped to ask where I cut my hair, and let me tell you, that happens all the time (it's not me, it's the haircut!!). Update 8/11/16 - I just wanted to thank Dorothy for another awesome haircut! She is helping me grow out my hair from extremely short back to long. She listens to my concerns, pays attention to the way my hair naturally bends and falls... And what I ended up with is a haircut that I can just blow dry, put a little product in and get out the door. That's exactly my kind of style. Dorothy Pinney is an awesome stylist. She listens, makes suggestions, and recommends products that actually work for your hair. I have been having my hair cut by her for over 2 years, and the first two years, pretty standard/boring maintenance trims for hair I was trying to grow long. About a week ago I decided to chop it all off into a pixie and donate it, and went back to Dorothy, who helped me package up my old hair and shape what was left into an awesome new look. Tina Coluccio managed to give me the unicorn of hair styles....It's easy to take care of, easy to get ready in the morning and manages to look styled 100% of the time (and she did it all in an hour). She is so pleasant and easy going, I didn't even realize an hour had passed! I can't say enough good things about her or the salon she is working in. I absolutely love this place. It is chic and modern. They also sell Bumble and Bumble products which are amazing. Everyone is very friendly and you can even have wine while getting your hair did! Alixx does my hair and I actually followed her to Cameo from another salon when she moved. Not only is she super sweet and friendly, she is the only person I will let do my hair. Love love love this salon. Jennifer has been doing my hair for two years now, and I'm so glad I found her (originally a referral from a coworker). She is super detail oriented, and truly listens to what her clients want and makes sure she understands what they want. I've never had someone spend so much time on my hair, but I love it. The salon feels super modern but comfortable and somewhat homey at the same time. Whoever greets you first when you walk in will usually offer you something to drink (adult beverages offered :D) and you can chill in their waiting area until your stylist is ready. I've never felt rushed here, nor have I ever had to wait too long past my appointment time. I know that if my stylist is late, its only because she's still giving the client before me an awesome experience. I pay more money here than I would at most other salons, but the level of service and attention is worth it to me. read more

This salon is absolutely adorable! I am so happy that I now get to visit Andy Keller-Bradshaw, my stylist of almost 10 years (eek! i'm old!), in such a great location! Andy has seen me through every style imaginable - long, short, bangs, no bangs, blonde, black, ombre, layers, bob - and I've been complimented by total strangers for his handiwork every time. Make sure to get a few of his cards because you will need them! Most importantly, no matter what I'm having done, I ALWAYS know that I will love the end product. Andy knows what works for my face shape and hair type and incorporates that knowledge into whatever cut or color I've requested. And he is so sweet and funny - I genuinely look forward to getting my hair done so I can hang out with him for an hour or two! He is also the only person who I will allow to touch my husband's hair - once, he was booked and Austin had to get a cut by someone at a (very reputable) salon down the street. I can't tell you how excited I am to have my favorite hair stylist moving to such a beautiful salon. I have been going to Andy Keller-Bradshaw for years - since I lived in Atlanta in college. Even after I moved have to make a trips back down to Atlanta to have him perfect my hair. I have followed him to every salon and even in NY have not found anyone who understands the cut I need for my face shape (a true artist!) and how to apply color to my hair that holds (I found out the hard way when I tried a few other stylists in my area only to have the color wash out in half the time!). I am also incredibly picky about what color of dark brown I like and he has perfected the science of it! I would highly recommend him to friends with both long and short hair! He also has the absolute best personality. It's so nice to spend the dye time with someone who you can chat with so easily and is fun and funny! Love him!!! read more

JEN is the BEST! I always get genuine compliments for the style that she gives me and she's really great at understanding what I want in a cut. I always walk away feeling sexy and when I'm indecisive, she offers valuable feedback about latest trends and what would look great on ME. I've been a client of Jen's for 5 years now and I can't imagine seeing anyone else. In addition to having a really open and laid back personality, she's also very organized and I can always count on an email or text the day before my appointment to remind me of my appointment time. The space is spectacular, being very clean, relaxing and trendy. I love to enjoy a cup of comlimentary tea or coffee if the occassion arises when I have to wait a few minutes on the comfy sofa and the music is always an invitation for nostalgia or tranquility, depending on the day. Cece's new digs. I've written about Cece before so no need to go on and on about her adept skill. I'll add that over the years I've seen her, she works to do anything I ask, but she's a consultant about it and keeps me in check by advising me about what I'm asking for and the likely outcome. Look her up and book in advance, she's great and her booked schedule is a testament of it. The salon is cool, clean and tastefully appointed with limited private parking. The space and product offerings lean slightly feminine though the stylists seem ready for anyone. Cece listens to my quibbles on that and works to accommodate my tastes. (For instance I don't care for floral, sweet scented products.) Those are quibbles about a fine establishment that I can definitely recommend. I see Cece only so I'm not certain about walk-ins. Sometimes I'm just over it and decide I need a cut in advance of my appointment, but my girl is just too booked for the random ad-hoc haircut at the times I can make it in. Curses! ;-). read more

No more "hair stylist hopping" for me! Andrew is now my permanent go to for my cut and color. I love adding some blond highlights to my hair during the summer months but past stylists have over processed my hair and as a result made me look like a home-bottled blonde. Andrew is a mix master with color & as a result my highlighted hair looks completely natural....I liken it to the way my hair would lighten up naturally when I was a kid spending my summers at the beach. I'm also growing my hair long which is a slow and painful process for me & Andrew completely respects that and takes only a smidgen off the ends while still making the cut look up to date and healthy. Did I mention he's an absolute doll? Nothing worse than spending 2 hours in a chair with someone with no personality. Andrew is a master at his craft AND has a engaging and fun personality!
