This place was awesome! I found this place by total accident when my normal stylist had back surgery. I Googled salons nearby that did two-strand twists (meaning flat twists), and found that they had a Groupon! Totally awesome!--I called to see if I could get an appointment, and I got one that day! CONVENIENT! The place looked like a hotel. It was comfortable, upscale, and very classy. The stylists were very nice and totally professional, while making you feel at home at the same time. They even had a little table with wheels on it so I could use my laptop! I even saw a lady I knew there (total co-inky-dink)! The salon was clean and beautifully decorated...very classy and comfortable, and it made me feel good to be there--they even had a summer theme woven into their decoration. It felt welcome and inviting. I was pleased with the products they used, my hair consultation (my stylist, Khadijah, was very knowledgeable), and my treatments. I recently visited Salon BKB for the first time, after viewing an advertisement on a "Deal" Website, and all I can say is WOW!!! What a wonderful experience. My stylist Shana was so patient and accommodating. I was especially impressed with how she and other stylists like Jennifer took the time to really analyze the texture and condition of my hair and make sensible and reasonable suggestions. The entire team also seemed very eager to educate me on the many options available for "Natural" Hair Care clients. I got the Shampoo, Hydration, and Silk/Press Style service, and did not break the bank! While sitting under the Hydration Machine, I was also served the best complimentary cup of coffee that I've had in a long time!! Finally, while being styled, I received a 10 minute hand massage that was "out of this world!!" Needless to say, my experience at Salon BKB was "Fabulous to the Second Power!" BKB salon has been a life changing experience. After getting my hair done, I not only left with beautiful, soft, bouncy hair, I left with a whole different perspective on how to take care of my hair. My appointment began with a complimentary consultation and I was informed on the 'do's and don't's in regards to caring for my hair. I was almost in tears after i left the salon because I had no idea my hair could look this beautiful and feel so healthy. When I showed up to work Monday morning, I received compliments from EVERY woman in my office, (about 40 women, all different ages and ethnicity's) - it was amazing. I am a long time client of Belinda Baker, and I find that I am still learning. I love Salon BKB because not only do they give great hair care, they are awesome teachers as well! I am all natural and I tried to straighten my hair all by myself for the first time. I was so excited because it looked great, well it did for a couple of days. Then it started to get poofy as the day went on. I couldn't figure out what I did wrong because it was straight for a day or so. I went to Salon BKB and told Belinda what happened and she explained to me why it started to revert, she also told and showed me what to do so that I wouldn't have the same problem. She let me try and fix my problem so I could do it when I couldn't get to the salon, and it looks great! Belinda is not only a great stylist, but an even greater teacher. Salon BKB is has to be one of the best places in Georgia for natural hair. Unlike the Dominican who torch your scalp, the stylist here know how to use the blow dryer to get your hair super straight with a healthy feel. I've also seen her do color and she does an AMAZING job. Healthy hair is the theme of this salon and you will leave understanding that. The goal is to not only do your hair but to make sure it's healthy in the process and to teach you not to be dependent on a stylist. The atmosphere is cute and cozy. There is a (free) snack bar with refreshments. Even in the restroom has the customers in mind. If aunt flow surprises u its stocked with toiletries. I whole heartedly recommend this salon. The atmosphere is calming and extremely friendly and they have the expertise to match. I am natural and have always had difficulty managing my hair. Ms. Belinda Baker and her staff gave me an in dept consultation, allowed me to ask questions(which they answered thoroughly), and made sure after my service that I knew how to maintain my hair until my next service appointment. Belinda and her associates even gave me a brief lesson on how to pin up my hair at night and restyle my hair after my daily workouts. My mother and I used this hair salon to have our hair done for my wedding recently I can not say enough about the excellent quality of service. We were impressed with Belinda and her team. They were professional, friendly, and very skilled. Belinda even came to the venue prior to the wedding to secure my veil. The staff is knowledgeable, personable, flexible, and make excellent recommendations for my hair. Belinda is not only a great stylist, she can cut your hair anyway you want it and she is a magnificent colorist! I love my color, style, cut and texture.
