We were heading on vacation from Yosemite to Napa and stopped here in Turlock for lunch. Almost opted for a fast food burger across the street and saw Huckleberry's sign. Not being big fans of last food burgers, we thought "hey, let's give it a try." It's a basic breakfast/lunch diner, so the atmosphere is very average, but we were intrigued by the sandwiches and the Dixieland Steak sandwich caught our eye. Not being big breakfast eaters, we ordered one to split. We were glad we did. It was very substantial. And quite flavorful, too. The steak and BBQ sauce were good. This location is our favorite of all the Huckleberry locations we've been to. Staff is very friendly and the food has been solid every visit. My wife had a make your own omlette and surprisingly ate all of it (Very common for her to only eat half). I had the Cajun Benedict for the first time and it looked great, tasted really good and is now on my list of things I'll order again. If I had to complain about anything it would be that the poached eggs didn't have a fully runny yoke. Otherwise spot on. It was really good. Staff as always was attentive and friendly. This location is as good as the one in Modesto but with even better service. Had the Cajun eggs Benedict and it was awesome. My wife had the California Benedict and she was very impressed with the fried green tomatoes. Huckleberry's is one of our favorite brunch spots. read more

Service was great and super friendly! However the food was hella bland. Like it needed a ton of seasoning. I got the CFS and didn't eat half of it. The best part was my husbands soup and salad (he got chili) and it was really good! For can you mess up a salad. Plus they gave us bread after bread. We stopped at this huckleberry for breakfast around 11 am. The restaurant was about half full on a Tuesday. Inside the place is super nice and clean. The personnel was very friendly. We got a nice booth AMF started sipping on our coffee and iced tea. One of best unsweetened iced tea I've had. Anyway, they have quite a few options for breakfast and lunch. Not very good. The potatoes were partially cold and soggy. It was obvious they were leftover potatoes warmed up in the microwave. The omelette was too salty and the toast was saturated with liquid butter. read more

We have been to multiple huckberry locations and always leave satisfied. I had the chicken tenders and fries. I am a huge ranch judger and theirs was delicious. Their coffee was a little bitter with crap creamers but made up for it with their food. read more

Oh my. Well, there was seven of us for brunch. We ordered a bunch of things and everyone tried everything. All of the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was served hot and fresh. The service was fast and friendly. My only regret is that I was too full to eat as much as I wanted. The chili and gumbo were great and I with cold weather setting in I'm already looking forward to coming back for some. Everyone liked everything. From ages 13-61, everyone enjoyed the food and overall experience. I'll stop here, but honestly, I just can't say enough good about this place. Already planning when to come back. read more

Super bummed!! Had a waitress with dirty looks and attitude (1:00 0m Saturday) The servers handed us our plates across the table and made us reach for them. This location is not great. Went in today around noon. Place wasn't busy at all for lunch on a Friday. Our meals took a really long time to arrive and when they finally did I was terribly disappointed. My potatoes weren't even warm and were dried out and tasteless. The cheese on the omelette wasn't melted at all. The biscuit was rubbery and clearly microwaved. None of my food was warm whatsoever. Like how when you aren't even busy and it took forever?! I didn't want to hold anyone else at the table up and I really needed to eat so I didn't ask them to remake my entire order.. fresh this time. But I shouldn't have to.
