    First time here!

My wife and I were leaving from Escalon to get to Monterey for the week and we asked for a good place to have breakfast. We came here and oh my be ready to split one of the meals because you have to an ancaonda to eat a full meal though I know people do eat all the food. It has that Cajun, Lousiana vibe that you wonder if you use the restroom you could be taken by an alligator (only kidding they have very clean restrooms). Our server was on point and our coffee was filled and the food was prompt. We had a large scamble that was huge with potatoes, eggs sausage, cheese the works. The food was really good and the staff ius quite friendly. We noticed that there were allot of police who ate at this establishment and a few of them just bragged about the food. If you are on weight watchers this is not the place for you because you will get allot of food. They have great parking andf I liked the vibe of ther place. When we go through that neck of the woods we will come back.

I absolutely love this place! From the minute you walk in until you leave there's nothing but great service. Very friendly staff. The food and drinks are amazing as well! I always go on a Saturday if I happen to be out that way for my daughter's soccer games. I just went in recently with the family. It was busy as usual but it's never too long of a wait. My fiancé got the Dixieland Steak Melt. She loved it. Bbq sauce was really good. My daughter got the Mardi Gras Beignets. I've had those before and I know it's amazing! I got the Tom's Scramble. It was massive and delicious! I got it with onions and bell peppers. Soooo goood! Their strawberry lemonade is the best I've ever had too!

Do you see any eggs or vegetables in the vegetable omelette? I sure don't.

What could improve... mmm! Maybe serving food instead of trash. Ordered a vegetable omelette and didn't receive eggs or vegetables. This place sucks ass!

Decided to go for a Sunday drive and ended up in Oakdale. Was early for a change and decided to have lunch at Huckleberry's which closes at 3pm Feeling adventurous, both the Hubbs and I decided to try something different. The Hubbs chose Bayou grilled catfish with sautéed mushrooms over a bed of red rice and sausage similar to jambalaya. His dish also came with 2 slices of grilled pieces of bread that didn't seem to go with the dish. The fish was cooked perfectly but being catfish still had that muddy taste. Lots of sautéed mushrooms and the rice was tasty. With the help of the server I ordered the crab cake Benedict with the side of Cajun potatoes, which is essentially fried red potatoes with onions and bell peppers. The crab is real crab and a large patty. The hollandaise sauce wasn't the best, bright yellow and had more of a thick gluey texture to it. We were there right before closing so more than likely the sauce had been sitting. From the kids menu we ordered hand battered chicken strips with french fries for the babes who as usual, couldn't be bothered to eat. This is a family dining establishment, and the other tables near us all had kids and parents struggling with convincing their kids to eat, so we fit in! I started thinking it may be the food and it wasn't. The strips were definitely hand battered and fresh with a crunchy coating. Strips were very similar to Canes Chicken and the French fries were also good. I ended up eating part of the Babes food and took most of my food to work the next day for lunch. The Sweet tea with Huckleberry sauce was more a dessert, the Hubbs loved it! Next time I'll go for the chicken and waffles special with bacon and an unsweetened tea with a Huckleberry's Sauce. Service was great, greeted promptly and server checked in often. Good solid diner to take the whole family to. Service 5 stars, food 3 stars,

First off the service was amazing. Five star service all the way around the food was really good and super fast. I had the pumpkin pancakes. We also had the stuffed French toast with strawberries. Both of our breakfasts were really delicious And I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves comfort food. If you're going through Oakdale Or live near Oakdale stop in you won't regret it.

A nice change for the town. The food was flavorful, big portions, and well priced. The selection and different breakfast items was a plus. I enjoyed the Cajun Benedict's and potato's. They were cooked perfectly. The chicken fried stack was larger and flavorful and the potatoes with bell peppers was a great choice. I would recommend this place. We would be back soon for more.

The food is always of decent quality. The decorations are all over the place, but it lends itself to the experience. Service is slow so don't expect to be in and out super fast. I had to ask for flatware as they didn't provide forks unless you ask. Getting refills for your drinks is very difficult.

The inside is old school food place with photos of nostalgia of the country. Flow: You can call in and pick up for fast service or drop in and wait to be seated. It could be a long wait or it could be fast depending on the line. The service is fast though. They don't dilly dally and waste your time. If you are going to dine in you need to go to the counter and put your name in. Food: Leo Camarillo- You can order with pastrami, roast beef or both. (Not half and half) Lots of cheese and sautéed mushrooms. If you're not a mushroom fan just skip. This is so delicious I have been thinking about it ever since we got it. My wife doesn't like mushrooms and she still ate with the shrooms on. We ordered pastrami only. No ragrats! French Dip- My kids ate both halves and didn't even hook it up with a bite! It was juicy and the dip was perfect. Always add the cheese. The Italian- Loved the Italian. It had a lot of meats on it and the veggies were fresh. Topped with an Italian dressing. Salads- Pesto salad was my favorite. Excellent flavor. No heartburn. Spaghetti salad was the sleeper. Very unsuspecting. I thought it was going to be cold spaghetti sauce but it was tomato's and Italian dressing/seasoning. Potato salad was ok. We added pepper and salt. We ordered 3 sandwiches for 4 people and came home with an untouched half because there was so much food. Bill was less than $60 for all the food and the soft drinks. Will definitely be a frequent haunt now.

As this person knew what kinds of foods I liked, and had just dined there, it went to the top of my "let's go" list. As I happened, today my wife had the day off so away we went. Wow is all I can start with. From the moment another held the door for us, to the friendly greeting and smile of the young lady who waited on us at the counter to the decor and design inside and out, we immediately loved it. We found what we needed on the simple menu, accommodations from the git go, to even having a knife to cut our burgers in have (we rarely eat the whole thing right away). SOLID experience all around. Two burgers, sweet potato fries, fried zucchini and two ice teas was our meal. The burgers were tasty, the sides great, the staff on point start to finish, Ashley was our server and did an OUTSTANDING job all the way. We even had another customer hold the door on the way out. When I went to take a picture as we left, another fellow stopped so as not to walk into my shot. Wow again. If you love burgers, and are nearby, you need to try these folks' fare. I had always wanted to try it because it looked so inviting and I loved a good cheeseburger. We came with a party of 8 for my twin cousins birthdays and they were EXTREMELY nice and accommodating even though they do not take reservations they really helped us out to big tables together to include everyone and one of the servers with the long braid, forgot her name but gosh she was the SWEETEST and I love chatting with her! 10/10 service!! The food was absolutely delicious I noticed on the menu they sure has some GOOD lookin sandwiches but since it was my first time dining there, an their known for their burgers, I got the smashed cheeseburger which was SO good the cheese was delicately melted to perfection, I couldn't notice my cousin got the "mac and cheese burger" interesting choice but she had been there many times and swore on oh! Now the garlic fries and ranch? Those were spectacular! They even come out and sing happy birthday with banana pudding but we brought our own cake beverage it was such a big party. All and all it was DEElicious and I'd love to return to try their pesto chicken sandwich this place was perfection and made my cousins birthday dinner totally perfect!!!

I asked my favorite llm where I should stop by for prime rib going from Fresno to SF. It at first suggested I make a bee like for house of prime rib in sf, which I like but have been to many times. It then suggested house of beef and I'm so glad it did (cattleman's in Livermore was also a 3rd choice but I've been there several times too). Thankfully it was Fri eve and they had prime rib. I like mine rare and it was perfectly cooked, very marbled, huge, well seasoned and delicious. I pared it wth au jus and mashed with gravy. Then, what reminded me to write this review, was the tri tip from the meat counter and took to go. They were nice enough to pack it in ice for my 2 hour drive. I just cooked it on my grill in the rain and this is seriously one of the best tri tips I've ever grilled up. The meat tenderness/marbling/quality is on par with any prime grade/American wagyu I've bought and the seasoning is just super on point. Looking forward to smoking the baby back ribs I picked up as well in the next couple of days but I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Seems like other reviews had issue with service but the staff were exceptionally attentive when I was there. Seriously the only thing that wasn't top notch about my experience was the cocktails(mine was totally fine but I'm a bit spoiled when I'm in SF) but for my purposes passing through I just wanted the prime rib and meats to go to be delicious and house of beef certainly lived up to its name!

Service is fast and attentive, staff is apologetic about the wait, but the waiting time was not too late or rushed. Our server 10/10 service, even gave us extra bread to take home. Salad and soup bar were excellent and everything tasted fresh. We loved the tomato soup, but didn't like the french onion dip soup. The bread was amazing, and even tasted great as reheated leftovers. The prime rib and ribeye steak were cooked perfectly to our order, but couldnt finish eating dud to being full from the unlimited bread, salad and soup bar. Garlic fries were amazing and crispy, even after reheated for leftovers. Only a few things I didn't like was when we went to get our soup and salad, they cleared the whole table. I was warming up the butter in my hands for the bread to spread on faster, but they took it away like trash when we went to grab our salad and soups. They resetted the paper towel rolls to the side of the table when we moved it to the center, and they almost took away my husband's alcoholic drink, and then realized we were still dining. The lighting was definitely way too dark. I could see elderly people slipping if there was were liquids or food filled on the floor. The space is interestingly very small for a steak restaurant, but they seem to make everything flow well. Definitely would come again, enjoy the soup and salad bar, and then maybe share a steak instead of ordering two.
