It's a massive space with a bunch of tables and nothing else. It's quite simply just odd. As for the food, it's not good. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. Pretty bland and nothing is fresh. It's also outrageously overpriced. Chicken fajitas were meh and they were $27.00. We got shrimp and they were rubbery and came in a plastic bag, which was in a bucket. Weird. Also, no silverware. Only plastic. Just a headscratcher all around. The website says they have happy hour but they didn't have a separate menu. Just two dollars off drinks is what w were told. Probably why it was empty at 5:30. Also weird. They have this huge space and don't seem to have any idea what to do with it. Drinks were the same as the food. Wildly overpriced and the bartender didn't seem to know what they were doing. So, fitting for the overall concept. The reason for this is they don't use plates. They just bring you your seasoned seafood in a double plastic bag, and it is dumped out onto the paper "tablecloth". I saw this happening at the only other occupied table and immediately lost my appetite. My wife, undeterred, ordered some mussels. Ordinarily, we'll also order vegetables with any meal, but the side servings of vegetables are priced like filet mignon. I asked if I ordered the chips & guacamole, did it come with a serving of salsa? Alas, our server said no. What does a tiny amount of salsa cost a restaurant? 50 cents? So, I stuck with a glass of water. I was done. I couldn't bring myself to eat here. My wife ate a few of the mussels, digging them out from the plastic bags with her plastic fork. She said they were "ok" but we paid and departed, after a very poor experience. No pictures because I wasn't in the mood.

I love that the collard greens were slightly salty and very flavorful. A good traditional collard greens. As for the fried catfish, phenomenal. Super light and crispy, perfect white meat fish (not gritty or dark). What really stood out though was the genuine warmth of the service. I was actually their first customer of the day and they surprised me with a slice of sweet potato pie. The staff took the time to chat with me, made me feel at home, and even walked me out, opening the door and helping me with my bag full of food. That kind of care is rare these days and I can safely say service is a 10/10. I felt that prices were reasonable for the amount of food given. This is def a tucked away spot and I hope more people find them. I really want a spot like this to make it and as they are new I really want them to feel welcomed and to have a good turn out. We had been working on a project at our house, and by the time we got finished and ready to go out there wasn't a lot of time left as we went on a weeknight and they close at 9:00. I'm surprised that having a full bar, and being attached to a hotel property, that they would hang it up so early - even 9:30 or 10:00 would make more sense. It's such a charming place; seems a shame to have to call it a night so early. The ambiance is absolutely divine, especially out here in suburbia. It's very innovative in its layout. The lighting was carefully planned and is very effective in creating a special mood. And, what can be said about the wall of roses? It's tailor-made for snapping fun photos, that's for sure. The chef is sending out creative and Dee-Licious dishes from the kitchen. Yes, I know how to spell delicious, but it is worth adding the accented flair to stating the fact that this is a cut above many other dining establishments in the Conejo Valley. I bought two party packs at $55 each, for 8 guests, and I think this could have been enough for even 16 guests or more!! I ordered one chicken pack, and one veggies, I got both the vegan beans and the refried beans, and one Mexican rice, and one white rice. I also got a set of flour tortillas as well as corn tortillas. It came with amazing and fresh salsa, and I purchased an add on of chips and salsas, for $10, as well as the plantains for $10. The plantains came in small pieces that were perfect for sharing as well as with a delicious dipping sauce. For the chips, I got 1/2 plantain chips, and 1/2 regular chips. The plantain chips were especially a hit with the guests! Everything was so delicious and fresh!! Such generous portions!! I will definitely be ordering this again!! The hostess tried to seat us inside and claimed Resy does not pass along reservation notes. When we requested an available outdoor table without a reservation placard, she insisted it was held for a party of four. However, 30 minutes later, she seated a party of two at that exact table. - Uncomfortable Dining Conditions: We were placed at a tiny table where our dishes could barely fit, making the meal very uncomfortable. - Cleanliness and Service Delays: It took 20 minutes for anyone to visit our table, starting with the water steward, who served us wasabi and ginger in a visibly dirty dish. We did not see our waitress until 30 minutes after arriving. She was unfriendly, offered no apology for the delay, and did not offer to answer any of our menu questions. Additionally, the men's restroom was in poor condition. - Lack of Management: After dinner, I asked to speak with a manager. The waitress informed me that no manager or lead was on site and that no one was currently in charge. The lack of management and oversight was evident throughout our visit.
